Show-/Dream-/Fantasymatchups
« on: August 28, 2013, 01:56:14 pm »
I thought about casts, which could or should happen, or atleast would be fun for me to watch.

1. Plush/Persuade/Lost.Ancient/Daselend : Players, who bareley use manip or in a way itīs mostly acceptable. Also Lost likes to rage against orc-imba. Good micro-players with nice ffa-understanding.

2. Firedragon/Audigy/Elessar/Ebo : Classic ffa-players. Excessive use of chat + manipulation and everyone seems to see himself as the cream of the crop of the ffa-knowers.

3. Yane/Wan/Duck/Cechi : Ultimate ud-nuke-fest with pretty good microers.

4. Htrt/Wrecktify/Darkness/q-veta : overall very strong ffaer with many strats and tactics + someone, who likes to execute ONE strat near to perfection.

5. Nooblex/Darkflamemaster/Nline/rebbats : classic elf-orc-hu complication with accomplished oldschoolers.

6. Seksi/Magadansky/Lightweight/y.zenchenko :  strong cast, curious who woulda want it the most

7. Bobas_vett/ Majin / Eshan / Unholydreadlord : a lot of temper, ego, bad boyism and manip.

mb iīll add some more later.

Persuade/Ugri/Slythe/Mog: All doing random hero combos

NoMercy/Ugri/Audigy/Kruppe(I think): Battle of necrowagons

I'd love to see Ebo/ Old LW/ Old Seksi/ Qwest for manip masters

Lol nice thread Slythe but you already covered a lot of good ones

Nline, Daselend, y.z, Plush - A battle of old school top Orcs

Brainman, Slythe, Persuade, Seksi - 4 of the best random players

Mage with two bases (2v2 game with 4 players, 1 player leaves on each team at start) vs Ugri with two bases - epic 2 base 1v1.

htrt, Battle.suck, Renaud, Lightweight - All human

Plush, Lost.Ancient, Target, Pencil - Old school race wars

Maga, DFM, LW, Seksi - Epic s16 finals cast (o wait, Seksi was only tied for the 3rd spot in finals at 60 points giving svedirko the spot over him with the tie breaker.  If I didn't get only 5 points in my last game the tie breaker wouldn't even come into play and this would be the cast.  Seksi = noob)

With that being said, the finals cast currently is exciting.  GO svedirko! =D

Everything is possible in a final, Ugri who had like 1 % to win in the season 12 final kinda won.
Also fun cast would be this one: Kodos_forsaken, Invincible_Rice, ShadowSoul, Darkness for the most imbalanced oldschool orc imba mirror. Two dark ranger guys, rice with farseer and kodos going bm.

Even if we would be hoarding until the miens are out, Lost did not enjoy sitting in his main, he would go with heroes only to kill expoes, forcing you to either engage in hero war, or build an army to fight him

I don't know about you guys, but I think it would be much more entertaining to watch Moon v Grubby v Th000 v Lyn

Best 3 players right now and grubby.

Wonder how they would play ffa and how their perfectionist personalities/micro would translate.

Yane is really the only true pro I can remember that transitioned well into FFA.  There are some Fury and Demu FFA games floating around WCR and they were pretty bad if I can remember correctly.

I remember that Demuslim (hu) played one showmatch on Twilight vs some fml players, he did well but lost to Wrecktify playing orc. Also i recall that Fury played old fml ladder alot , but i can not really remember what his stats/records where..(i think renaud still got all the replays from old fml page?)

WaN is also doing great, he told us he was inactive for a longer time but before that he was quite a quite well known player in german leagues.

didn't axslav play atleast like 2 ffas where he completely stomped and showed some great potential? I remember a time he played orc in an ffa and it was one of the most entertaining stomps i've seen. And Yaws did a 12-man ffa (or 8?) where he was doing better-than-well.

other than that i would like a DasElend, Lost.Ancient, htrt, Yane game. when they were all at their respective best they had good micro, didn't manip too much, and most importantly i've been a fan of all of them :D

/e just remember that axslav used raiders as well in a game (i'm not sure if it's the one i'm mentioning above) where he actually made it work with net. That was really impressive and i doubt many active players would have the apm/micro to pull that off. I also miss watching Yane's scroll-micro/timing.

Yane was probably the most lethal FFA player in his era, to a point where he got teamed at almost every game at the start and somehow still won.

He was also known for his dual race strategy with tanks/ud army (and some other combinations IIRC).

My dream matchup would be:

F-L-Y, Pencil, Yane, Lost, HTRT, Daseland, Wreck, Magadansky, Target, Darkness 10-way :D

All players who could have been or were amazing soloist (Lost did pretty well in solo Sc2 i believe) and have amazing micro/macro skills. It would be a game of the ages.
