Suggestions for season 12!

FML A 16 players (old school style!)
FML B the rest (probably around 32?)

during the semi (or during the finals; w/e), bottom X players from FML A and top Y players from FML B compete for X spot in the next season of FML A

This sounds harsh... but when you think about it, the league was pretty much divided in two this season, with most players playing ppl from the same pool over and over again (xpte for the first round or two)

That idea with FML B sounds fun  . A league with Ascent and descent. There will be a big bunch of new players for sure that are going to play qualifiers. I actually didn't know you had the same idea of a league with 4 1/4 finals, thats confusing  . Don't forget worpex is the boss, let him pick ideas by himself.

Other idea I had : make two conferences like in NFL :p America and Europe.

Also ugri, I never said anything about FML B publicly... in the admin forums yes, but I still hate FML B otherwise.

About the "ups and downs thing" I 100% am against it. I would do a "throwback" FML season where we do the original FML style again... but my vision for FML is for it to change constantly. Each season should be unique in its own regard. I don't ever want the league to stagnate with the same format season after season. The reason for that is selfish: I get bored of running it.

I think that FML A and B would be fun.  I also really like the idea of alternating it every season though.  I'm sure whatever ends up happening it'll be fun.

ugris idea of europe+ america bracket is great

the vast majority are in either timezone which would make scheduling MUCH EASIER and also games not on weekends possible etc.

it would be fun and more national and have similar mentalities in the first games

I support a system which makes the best advance though and i think 4 games with brackets for all finalists does not ensure that i like that best 2 are already sure before that makes it worth it

i like 25 10 10 10 point idea however ties will be a huge problem even with 11 point rule ull have to think of something.

also btw it would be fairer to check in matchups which races there are eg all human games suck to watch compared to race wars/ 3 dif races races.

No worries, on of the best european has moved to the us to balance the whole thing a little

Why not ban cheesing next season? It will be the most radical change you've ever made to this fine league!

My suggestions:

I'd love a bit of a map ruling change.

Highest point player in the round should choose the map out of the remaining unused maps.

Add savage storm sans mountain corners (just remove the elevation, shouldn't be hard)
Add Tavern versions of Crucible and Stormguarde.

Yeah, I'm nostalgic.
