FML Season 31 | Semi-Finals

Not even three months and we made it to the playoffs. An exquisite selection of elite players can sharpen their pencils to update their CVs. What an achievement!
Both semi-finals will be played with chat and hopefully by May 10, on maps picked by Seksi and Alien (by May 5).

Two players don't even have to bother with semis, since they stand at the top of their respective brackets. Congrats to Shave and Qwest for their tickets to the final.

I never thought I'd read the nick "Shave" in a final game. Especially as the 1st finalist! Good luck and hopefully you'll get a new laptop by then!

Yet another cold war thriller between USA and Russia. We have 2 of the most senior players in our community with Eshan and Seksi. Neytpoh and laegoose are making Russia proud in this semifinal. Neytpoh is microwise the strongest here who might get teamed to death. The biggest challenge for him will be staying cool in the heat of the game and forge alliances with players but also breaking peace at the right time.
Personally I think that if Eshan survives an early rush by one of his opponents he will excel with his experience and understanding of the game.

First Alien, I'm glad you made it to the semi finals despite your busy schedule with Family and running your successful business. This is a example of real FFA skill.
Reigning champion Junkerzam who has all the chances to make it to the finals yet again.
To me it's flabbergasting to see two French newcomers in a seminal.
SyDe is one of the most talented active undead players in Europe who seems to enjoy his trips to the FFA world. I was impressed how fast he learned the game mode.
SyDe has probably the best kiting in the league right now. He has shown great performances (taking 1v2 fights) throughout the season. I look forward to see him play.
Ilares is another newcomer from France with a semi final participation. It will be interesting to see how the old world with Alien and Junker deals with the newcomers.

Very interesting game, i think Neytpoh will play Human and Eshan probably choose orc race, Neytpoh will win every fight vs Eshan, but lose every fight vs Seksi (DL opp) predict 2v1 teaming vs Seksi and Eshan victory at end

Alien and Junker very experienced FFA players, i dont see any chanse for Syde in 3 way with Junk and Alien, i think Syde need rush Alien or Junker and play his best 1v2, cuz ilares not very strong

any of these players are worthy of finals. neutron the solo beast, seksi the longtime sensei, and laegoose has really impressed too, even if i still think he's a smurf :)

always depends on maps and spawns etc. if neutron can win his 1v1 and snowball quickly, it will be hard for the other players. seksi has enough micro to pose a threat even to neutron, if he gets a big bank. he'll probably pick a map with spellshields that favors UD, like silverpine or deadlock LV. laeGOOSE is a dark HORSE. he's smart and has great micro, and obviously he will be underestimated in this game which can work in his favor. if neutron riflerushes seksi out, he wins. if not, its anyone's game.

another great cast. junker is back to defend his crown, and he will fight viciously for it. he had some bad luck this season, but i doubt that will continue. and if he randoms UD or Orc, it will be in his favor. similarly, if Alien continues his crazy lucky streak of randoming human, he has great chances to win this. i think human is his best race, it fits his aggressive bearlike style. syde's french beard is sexy, and as such its hard to root against him. but he has shown some rookie blue colors in recent games, allowing himself to become the target of teaming or overextending on opponents. ilares has been great this season, but showed a bit of weak mentality, suiciding in his R3 game and badly navigating the 3way in his R4 game. i don't think he can withstand an early attack from any of these players, so he will be the tome. ultimately, i have to go with the defending champion, junker. his experience and mental toughness has proven itself many times.

Prediction: I will be fucked badly micro-wise and decision-wise.

To anyone spawning near me: give me free expo and a circlet. Otherwise with no early game advantage I will have 0% win chance and will rush you just to have some impact. Thank you for understanding.

Nice manip already in predictions.  Neutron may actually want to rush out Eshan to avoid having to play a 3-way with him.  This should be a good game with a nice mix of players.  I'll post the map by tomorrow.

Another sweet cast.  Both semis are strong.  I will have to root for my USA brethren in this game and go with Alien.  Though I recently watched Junker's FML win against Trunks and Cumulo where he was nearly eliminated and came back to win in an impressive (and patient) manner.  I think it will be difficult for SyDe to win against two solid and experienced FFAers, but of course it could be done and SyDe has been learning and adapting his game quickly.  I haven't seen ilares play much to give an opinion.

The main focus of the comunity is currently on pads 2n2 ladder. Who will be the best 2s team?

True ffa fans know that pads 2n2 ladder is not the place where u will find the new best 2s team. it is right here instead in Semi Final 1!

But lets start in the beginning

Laegoose is new to the scene but comes with everything a new FML champ needs to have.

1. Hes elf.
2. He will be overlooked.

but sadly all of that doesnt matter cuz we know that if laegoose wins fml, this season wont count anyway because dv says so.

in fact there hasnt been a fml champion since season 20.

so lets switch from a russian nightelf to......oh well another russian nightelf i guess.

neutron looks like the sort of gg.ru player that signed up to fml thinking this was another random hero ffa cup with pricemoney.

now this season turned into a game of thrones marathon for him and hes in season 3 by now still waiting for the Dragons Random Hero Games to finally appear.

Instead he got a glimpse at "The Wall" aka Noexxx Mainbase in round 4 and is just about to be a part in "the red wedding" aka this semifinal.

Now lets have a look at the Stars of our Game. The new best 2s Team. Best friends for life well....until final baserace i guess.

Seperated trough the brackets Neutron managed to catch Seksi offguard in r1 and by offguard i mean without eshan by his side.

so whats gonna happen this game?

While Eshan is busy spamming "GG HELP" in chat at 3min mark cuz he feels treathend by Neutrons scout whisp Arni will enlighten Random People on FFAMASTER Twitch channel that

1) FFA should be only played on 4s maps
2) there should be a timer of 1 hour
3) FFA is stupid anyway and they should play solo instead

People that dont agree to these words of wisdom will be challenged by arni to 1on1 him.

Just to then remind the people actually daring to 1on1 him that he doesnt have time for that because he is a teacher and his job is too important.

So while Fetta is watching the game enjoying a bottle of whiskey noone else in this comunity could afford and feeling pitty for these sad hobbyless nerds playing this chieldsgame tommy is collecting all his bravery and goes on another date with Badminton girl. Hoping shes out of shape due to lack of training during Corona Virus he now sees his chances to finally clear his name. Little does he know that she has a badminton court at her house and trained even harder in the last months since she had more freetime. So instead of destroying her pussy in the night its tommy thats getting destroyed.....during day....on the court.

But Tommy is not the only thing getting destroyed this day because Neutron is currently destroying Eshans and Seksis Dreams of becoming a FML Champ. If Neutron didnt meditate under a waterfall the past 2weeks to prepare for this game he wont last 1 hour against Eshan and Seksis Chat without Suiciding both of them. Laegoose who like every good FML Nightelf did 3 heroes and 9 chims in his first and only control group because ("why make bear i dont use roar anyway" - Renaud 2010 right before winning FML) and has his rest supply in hippos autofollowing his heroes comes back from going afk after creeping to swoop in and baserace whats left of the other 3 palyers.

so i guess we will have to wait until next Season to crown a new FML CHAMP and Tyrant will continue to be our current FML Champion.

I hope they team Neutron from start 3v1 because noone wants solo pro in FML final because its bad publicity. Eshan/Peregrine/velociraptor/the worst map created has shown some decent games and improvement in his tactics. I will cheer for him since I have been hating this guy for like 3 years because he is trash retard autist rat, but in the end he is human just like us and I need to give him a chance.

Seksi is also really cool guy. I guess he has the right experience to win this game but everything will depend on the selfishness of Neutron. The solo patch elf who become famous after the 1.30.10.apm.elfs.ez.win has shown that he has the micro but not the nerves to stamp his way to victory. He likes to show his power with oustanding micro when rushing someone. It is like going to a knife fight with a gun. We understand you have micro but 0 ffa sense. I hope Neutron doesnt win this match.
Have not followed the last guy, but I see he is elf so I hope he don't win as well. Pathetic race.

Since I showed Syde solo pros are not welcome here by teaming him 3v1 in his next games he improved a lot ( not like noob neutron) and showed that he is growing the FFA sense. I liked all his games where he made really good decisions and always stayed and fought till last breath (not typical for French people). Despite the fact that Alien is the most experienced together with junker I want to mention that he lied to me that he will send me goods after I charmed him with good luck for poker tours and he won 25k $ without sweating. So I charm him this time to lose this game and finally keep his words for the future encounters. Junker is good depending on his race of course. He won FML so I want to see some new faces and final Syde, qwest, Shave, Eshan sounds perfect to me. Again some random elf here (ilares) which I hope he will be snowballed fast by those tanks.
