Other games for leagues

So myself and some admins have been talking on and off about starting up another league for a completely different game. We all enjoy running leagues but none of us have ever really branched out passed WC3 and would be interested in getting our feet wet elsewhere.

With that said, what are some game suggestions for another league? Please let us know which games you would like to see and why!

Disclaimer: I don't want to start a controversy with this post. FML has and will always be a Warcraft 3 league. This is merely a discussion for future projects.

However we don't think it's the best idea, but it was considered.

I believe people come here for primarily one thing: FFA/FML. That's what this community has been founded on and grown around all these years, to the point that many people here are good online friends and there is more to the community than just the game in itself. While members in the community no doubt play and have interest in other games, I would be kind of surprised if there was significant alignment in interest in other games. My guess is that at best maybe half the community also plays dota, but I'm not sure it would be enough people to have a league, and for other games beyond that I think the situation would be even slimmer. On top of that there are already considerable other communities and forums for those other games, whereas ffamasters.net holds the torch for FFA in my eyes.

Would this new project/league be another website, or a subforum on this site? My personal opinion is that if it was a subforum on this site that would sadly detract from the quality, tradition, and prestige of FML. If it was another website then that would be pretty cool and I'd be for that, if there was enough interest. That's my two cents. That said, I actually think it would be kind of cool if FML had a sister league for 2v2 or something.

There is no games as good as wc3 :(
But it might me interesting for admins as organizing experience idk.

In that case, sweet -- good idea! The only other game I've personally played outside of wc3 in the last year is dota, but I'm for a 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 wc3 league.
