Season 18 is a Go!

Well undead and orcs, elves and humans, we're at that time again.  That's right, it's time for us to kick off our 18th Season of the FFA Masters League.  This time about we are missing some of our older players, for which we are truly sorry.  However, we understand real life interferes sometimes and wish them all the best and hope to see them again soon.  To ease our pain though, we have an outstanding crop of new players.  And when I say new, I mean new only to the FFA world.  All in all, I think that we have an excellent group of applicants this season and I only wish that we could accept them all. 

Just a quick reminder and refresher for all of our players new and old, the proper way to schedule games can be found here.  In addition, we have added a piece to the rule book about failing to schedule which I will post below.

3.20e Failure to Schedule

If a player fails to contact his opponents or admins for scheduling after 3 days time, that player forfeits his right to schedule for that match. The other players in the match are then free to schedule without this player and a replacement player may be found. No points will be awarded to the forfeiting player if a sub is chosen. If a player fails to schedule for two consecutive rounds without contacting the admins, they will be removed from the current season, and barred from the next season as well.

The following qualifier matches are our Round 1 Matches.  Each player will have two chances to qualify for Season 18.  Those that win their Round 1 matches will be qualified for Season 18.  Those that lose will have a second chance to qualify with our Round 2 Qualifier matches.  Each match will have it's own scheduling thread where players will be expected to post their available times as per the instructions above.  The qualifier match number will be hyperlinked to each matches scheduling thread as well for ease of use.

I know that it is rare for these to contain any non-FFA related news, however with the end of Zotac I felt it was important for some light to be shed on a new player in the solo scene, War3tv.  They've stepped up to fill the shoes left by Zotac in the solo community, and look like they are going to do an excellent job of it.  More information can be found here or on their site at war3tv.com

Just something not very clear about this new rule.

Let's say I don't connect during 3 days and the other 3 players agrees on a date.
I connect the 4th day and realize that they scheduled it and found a replacement. What if I'm also available on the time they scheduled it, do I still have the right to play (and so the replacement was found for nothing) ?

That means they can schedule on their own, but you can still join the game when the time fits for you.
