So, S12 is over, S11 is over and S10 is over. Now that everything is all fresh in your minds, we need a discussion because S13 is just around the corner.
Feel free to say everything here: What you want to see more of, what you want to see less of, what you don't like and what you love.
I made a poll so us admins can get an idea of what you guys want to see as the S13 format. Remember, this is not an official poll so if the top result doesn't end up as the format for the season, don't be too heartbroken. However, it is likely that it will be.
Discuss!

for those who where not around for s1-8
16 players, everyone matches everyone at least once
("top" player in fml A, rest in fml B; top being either players who ranked high in the previous season, or someone who won a qualifier game)
-
Personally I liked S12 quite a bit. I thought that it was really nice to be able to play with people from the same time zone and it made scheduling quite a bit easier. That being said I only played 10-12. I don't know how well this would work, but what about a mix of the earlier seasons and S12. I was thinking conferences, but everyone plays everyone at least once. Could this work?
-
Yes it could mage! We were planning on having less players in this season, so we could most definitely do that. 16 players in each conference, 4 rounds, play each other once.
-
There is also the question of who makes it to the finals.
We could do like season 12 and have 4 semi finals (16/32 players have a chances, seems like a lot)
or we do like the previous season, and only 2 semi finals (and in this case, top player of every conference auto advances, player with most point decides map, and if it's a tie... who knows!)
-
I voted conference mode as expected :)
-
This is just an idea that was bouncing around my head, and I'm not even sure I like it haha. But here it goes (this applies for both divisions, so 2 people auto qualify for finals).
1 Seed qualifies for finals
2,3,4 qualify for semi-finals
5,6,7,8 play a quarter final game.
Top seed picks the map, winner moves on, but admins or community picks the grand final map. I think this gives an appropriate advantage to those who do well throughout the season but also leaves it open for those who screw up a game to make it, they just have to win more matches. Like I said, it was just floating around my head but I think it could be interesting and would be curious what others think. The biggest downside I see is that playoff scheduling could take a bit long.
-
I like the idea of seeding some players higher than others in the playoffs. I don't know if sending someone all the way to the finals that way is a good idea, but I like the concept of a couple players skipping the quarterfinals.
-
I don't really want to do conference again personally cause we're just going to see the same matches as last season for the most part. People will be playing the same people.
-
I don't want to play eurotrash till late if at all voted conference.
-
What would Conference Swiss entail?
-
Not really sure what the difference between conference and conference swiss are but yeah I want no hard2scheduleplzthx. We'll see some of the same people playing each other again but the matches should go much differently with a lower number of higher skilled players, so I don't know that it will be boring. I mean, the red sox play the yankees every year and nobody seems to care...
I like mage's idea alot actually. Either it, or a variant of it would be good imo, I like the idea of rewarding those who did well during the season, and extending the playoffs doesn't seem like too big a deal to me, whats the hurry anyway? More exciting!
-
I'm just looking forward to playing some FFAs with people who are:
-Not preteamers
-Not hackers
-Not lossbotting
-Playing for the win
AKA not ladder games.
-
I voted for conference mode. Put private chat back in.
-
I know this has not the highest priority (and that's a good thing) but regarding the community of the League it would be nice if there weren't so many games like over the 200 minute-mark... I know this is actually barly influenceable but a different mappool (including smaller maps) would be at least a start. Although I know that private-chat would make many games shorter, I am still glad that it was removed for S12.
Regards
-
Map choice isn't going to stop standstills from occurring. You can have the smallest map in the universe, and smart players are always going to examine their situation and debate whether or not it's a wise choice to engage.
The problem with long games isn't typically the length itself; it's the standstills. But there isn't really a way to stop those from happening with rules or map changes; it's up to players in the game to decide how much fighting they are willing to do.
-
i voted for conference swiss, since it combines two of the previous successfully used modes.
Also woulda like a classic fml a/ fml b style.
Better scheduling in conference-mode is a nice thing, still we had some games being pretty slow scheduled.
For the quality of games there is no, imo, no garuantee with any modes/maps/players.
Also it is different sometimes, from how the players or the observers felt, that it was a good/enjoyable game.
Would be nice to have some special games /tournaments/ playedates to get the ppl on bnet/ggc for some more games , not just for the 'official' fml games.
-
I actually remember the FML A/B style from years ago (I have visited and been DL'ing games from ffareps for years, though never really started posting until like a year ago). Anyways, I think it would be a good system to bring back because it would allow for the middle tier players to play more "equal" games were its not "team maga or no chance" for players like me. Don't know how it would work, though maybe there could be some sort of preliminary round in which all players would be given two chances to get into FML A (sorta like the two qualifier rounds in S11), and then the rest of the players would be placed in FML B.
Just my two cents
-
I like having a player go straight to the final, because ffa has a cetain level of luck involved in game, so it would suck for a player to win 4 game during the season, and then get unlucky during the semi. (Unlucky can be anything from having a bad day to being suicided by some jerk)
Considering the goal of 16 player per conference, we could have 3 round with no/almost no player meeting twice, and the 4th round should be mixed (this reduced the amount of "I MUST RUSH PLAYER X IN ORDER TO BE IN THE FINAL!" (although I did not remove the "I need a 3rd to make the finals, lets rush someone randomly")
For the map pool, I suppose we will remove 3 map and have a vote to get 3 new map? (I think we can stop remove harvest every season, only to get it voted back in again)
...
But now that I think about it, I agree with steppin that FML A/B would be interesting, because it would probably raise the quality of FML A game (no need to worry about someone getting imba while toming a lower tier player) and would give all those "lower-tier" player a chance to get better while not desperately trying to survive
Change my vote to AB!
Edit: For the map up for ellimination, I would say Savage Storm, Crucible, and (Gold Rush or Market?)
-
I have the poll unlocked so people can change their own vote, renaud. Just click on remove vote and then vote again.
For the A/B idea, I like the idea of having some sort of a play-in (?) round to determine who gets into FML A/B. Of course we'd still have people who auto-qualify (finalists from S12, def).
For the maps, I wont disagree with keeping Harvest in. :D I agree with renaud on the maps up for elimination.
-
I think you guys are missing the most important thing here: you should add back private chat.
-
I don't like the idea of AB and here is why:
Great players still lose FFA games, having qualifiers for a FFA league is 1 of the dumbest ideas. For example here are the people who failed to qualify for FML A during season 7: Snamuh, HTRT, DasEland, Battle.Suck, Bobas, Crow. That's 2 champions, the 2nd best Orc to ever play FFA, and 3 players who were always pretty damned solid ffa players and better still then most people who play in this league today.
FFA already has a luck factor in every single game which makes it fun, but you turn that luck factor into a qualifier match as well and suddenly 1 surrounded spawn makes you miss playing in the "real" league.
Reason 3 and this is probably the most important reason of all. Activity in FML B. A lot of players get discouraged especially in FML B once they have no chance of making the semi's and after 2 straight losses decide just not to show up for the games, they already know their league isn't as important and that they have very slim if any chance to move on.
-
Why are you guys voting for conference? This season was by far the worst one of the last 3. We had boring games, every 2nd game was a 3 hour 3 way gayness.
Back to Season 10 mode, 1 week to schedule and qualifiers for all the rookies. Thin out player amount. I am not interested anymore to match guys that played 20 ffa's in their live and think they know everything. Give the elite of ffa (top16 this season) a better chance for good games. FML A and B is a bad idea, because it tells people that all who are in B must be worse than people in A as Louis tried to say and ofc Louis is a little bit historically affected so its not neutral as it should be.
Still waiting for EBO to come back from his "i lost semi-finals and cry in my pillow until the pain goes away hole". Probably he destroyed his CPU after the game. He will be back for sure.
CHANGE SOMETHING. NOBODY WANTS A SEASON LIKE THIS ONE AGAIN :icon_evil:.
It would be actually enough if you let me choose the map-pool for the whole upcoming season. WOuld be enough change to have fun again and not play SIlverpine and Harvest over and over again.
-
I thought this season was great. You still sound bitter about losing your semi.
-
I'm all for changes but as for FML A and B no thanks. Change up the map pool for starters, give us another smallish map like that Rose map or whatever 4 player where everyone says "clockwise or counter clockwise" at the start of the game, then renaud expo's the wrong fucking direction and everyone starts going crazy! Lets fucking throw down on hurricane isles, sure it might make for long games but you are required to play a completely different style on hurricane then any other ffa map and I fucking love that aspect of it. I know 1 season we did wetlands and all us ffa players had to develop a strategy with only 2 goldmines. That kind of thing adds fun and makes people use their brain more then zombie esk going to do same build every single game silverpine, twilight, market, get spawn luck, get surrounded. 4 player maps are the most balanced maps for FFA and gives bonuses to players with good micro and good knowledge instead this entire season was filled with maps that position luck has just as much meaning as both.
-
Snamuh, HTRT, DasEland, Battle.Suck, Bobas, Crow.
I think 2-3 of them where in FML B because they where too late for FML A. And snamuh was a has been at this point (he was still good, but no where near how good he once was)
But you do have a point about activity being even worst in FML B :/

How does this have anything to do with conference? O_o
Player gets lamer when they are against ppl of their hemisphere?

You misspelled Lightweight!, only good letter was the 'E', and it was at the wrong spot!
-
We went Savage Storm last season. Not like we dont' change things up and put unique maps in. Deathrose was in S10 and S11, we got sick of it for S12.

I believe there were 2 chances to qualify for FML A that season and both me and HTRT only got to play in 1 qualifier game each as substitutes for no shows therefore we were FML B. But yes neither of us registered that season and were late to FML A

No, persuade went Savage Storm last season. Seriously if it's 4 rounds again pick 2 maps that are popular (Harvest, Twilight Ruins, Market Square, Silverpine etc) and 2 that people haven't played in a while (last season we had Crucible and that round was great fun, this season do something like Rock Quarry and Feralas or something). Really besides private chat this is the only problem I have with the league is that the maps are the same time and time again. And I know you do change maps from time to time but it's still maps that are played on battle.net. I feel the 2 popular maps/2 quirky maps would be awesome.
Think about it!
-
It's too bad that the mapmaking contest never took off. While the maps might not have been ready for S13, it would be a great way to create a new map/s for S14.
-

creating a good map takes a while, just to see it rejected by admins after : lol no thks
-
We don't need a contest for people to make maps. If someone makes a good one I see no reason why it can't be added into FML.
-
Still confused on difference between conference swiss and regular conference...
-
Also, couldn't A/B be decided by admins discussion of players' strengths and weaknesses instead of based on the outcome of a game? I'm sure they are knowledgeable and experienced enough to decide who belongs in which league. Qualifiers could be used as a performance test / helpful decision-informing test for admins to make decisions based on. For instance say a player goes 4th place in qualies but was 3-0 in past seasons, wouldn't just go to FML B cuz they lost, admins would have say. Same for if a player has done poorly in past seasons but really steps it up in a qualifier showing they've made improvement they could get put in A. Idk just an idea.
-
- I like the idea of 16 player conferences for 32 players max. With a lower number of players (meaning more intelligent FFA players), it should bring great games throughout the season.
- I also would vote for a slight change to 5 regular season games (down from 6, up from 4). 6 does seem like a little much, however only 4 games is too little of a sample size in my opinion. Sometimes winning only 1 of 4 could get you into the playoffs, where with 5 games in all likely hood players would have to win 2 of 5.
- I vote for no PM again this season.
- All of the current point rules are good and gets my vote again.
- As for map choices: (I believe the map order could be predetermined to give players practice time ahead of schedule)
Week 1: Monsoon
Week 2 : Hurricane Isles (This season's special map)
Week 3 : Silverpine Forest
Week 4 : Twilight Ruins
Week 5 : Marketsquare
Semis/Finals are able to also choose Harvest or Deadlock.
P.S. I plan on not missing my last game to where I would've been in the playoffs for sure. In fact, Renaud can thank me for the FML crown since I didn't show and he got my spot. :icon_wink:
-
I agree completely with Seksi.
For the maps, there are a shit load of good maps I like which are always rejected because when they get to the voting point, players do not know them so they dont vote for them :
- Thunder Lake which was used in S7 I believe and gave us great games
- Rock Quarry would be better than Hurricanes if we want a new big map, less risk of long towered games on islands
- Roundabout / Spider Falls / Bloodstone Mesa / Battleground are always rejected by votes but would give us good game
Maybe for these later four, admins organize a vote so we chose one out those 4 to be added to the map pool
-
Oh yeah, good call Ugri. Thunder Lake is one of the best maps ever!! I am down with Rock Quarry instead of Hurricane also. As for the last maps, of those I would choose either Bloodstone Mesa or Spider Falls... but Thunder Lake #1
-
I think we should do one really small map that would require people to play "differently" aka no 30 minutes of hoarding on 4 expos. Something like Turtle Rock would IMO be a lot of fun.
-
I call to keep the PM banned. The season definitely benefited from this rule. I am also for new unusual maps. We need to spice FFA a bit, not play all the maps that we are so used (and bored) with. Even something like Predators (was it that?) or Wetlands would be nicer for one round. It would require different adaptation rather than the same big maps all 4, 5 or 6 rounds. Speaking of rounds, I also agree with Seksi - 5 rounds seems good! I voted for Conference Swiss since I like changes but I liked S12 model too.
-
But... but... 5 isn't even.... (http://www2.shoutmix.com/smileys/argh.gif)
-
I thought this season was great. You still sound bitter about losing your semi.
This is the easiest way to weaken someones arguments. Won't comment that anymore.
This season was BORING. Games were BORING, scheduling was PAIN IN THE ASS. Need to repeat that to not have another season like this. And punishing seksi saying he did feed was ridicolous too, but ofc renaud had to show his admin powers in that case. More Worpex beeing warden, KILLIN BACK (where is this guy or was it just a troll that he is coming back?) and Nebu as CO-Head admin.
-
There was no difference between the games this season and last one (except the finals). The scheduling was done in 2 weeks just like usual. If you want more exciting games then maybe you should stop staying in your base for 2 hours doing nothing.
-

Seriously? You're blaming the admins for you not enjoying this previous season? Fuck you dude.
-
1) Seksi had his garg spamming move points while I killed them, they din't even hit one of my hippo, and they kept going back and forth. And after I killed those, two more that where cross map went to the exact same spot where he had previous lost his 10 others. It sucked because he played great, but that was feeding. I had actually forgotten about it, but I received 2-3 pm after the game asking me wtf that was, and din't he get any pp.
so REJECTED!
2) Ebo might be "crying in my pillow until the pain goes away" but that sure is better than crying in the forum like a little bitch, at least he doesn't annoy us
-
(also, I think 5 round might be good)
-
Imature admins that cannot take critics and when something doesn't go the way you want it to comments get deleted. Yes, i blame you Worpex, you run a league and don't even know what is going on. So easy to brib the admins by just pushing candy in their asses. Thats the only way the will allow you to say something.
Renaud, he suicided 5 hippos into you and therefore you did a penalty on him as if that made a big difference to the game. You are just ridicolous. Guess why Eshan and Duck aren't around anymore, because admins like Worpex and Renaud overestimate their competencies.
So this is how it ends, i always brought up ideas for positive development of the league and now im getting a stamp on my ass with the aim of siberia.
Goodbye FML, i did not notice how dumb admins always were until today.
-
On topic: If we've tried 4 and 6 then I don't see why 5 isn't the next step =D. I think that it may be correct that this would create the necessity for 2 wins as opposed to last season where it was a lot of 1 win people (not to take anything away from that of course.) I also like the idea of having a set map order so they can be practiced, I know part of it is that the maps aren't decided until the week of. But, if it's not too much trouble it really might lead to some better games where people know creep patterns better (especially if we use a lot of underused maps where people wouldn't know)
Off topic: There have been a lot of disparaging comments about Ebo, and while I agree he deserves them a lot of the time, I don't think this is one of the times that he does. I haven't seen him whining about his loss at all, and he already stated he was going to be addicted to D3 when it came out. Maybe he just wants a break, or maybe he just doesn't care. Either way, would you rather have him complaining on the forums...? Mocking him for not posting since then, when we don't know why it is, just makes no sense.
Building off of this, am I the only one that has noticed a disturbing amount of bad manner recently? I get that FFA games are more passionate because of the amount of time invested in them, and maybe that excuses a little bad manner after a loss like not saying gg or sulking for a bit. But recently there has been a ton of bad manner, and I really think it is dragging everything down. There is a lot of work that goes into this league, and a significant portion of players act like 5 year old diva queens.
If this was any other type of league, that would be absolutely unacceptable. I think the admins are very lenient as is, and do an excellent job of not taking offense in instances where it might even be justified. I'm not really sure what the point of this mini-rant is, but I think some awareness needs to be shed on this growing issue. Otherwise, we could lose some players who just don't want to deal with all of it. I think it might be important to take a step back and keep a few things in mind in general.
1) We don't have a right to play in this league, it is an opportunity that is given to us and a privilege.
2) If there's a disagreement then handle it in a rational manner. There's no need to insult, and instead point out what you disagree with in a logical manner.
3) Most importantly, it's just a game. If it is something that routinely causes you to get mad then maybe you should re-assess your priorities. There are things a lot more important in life then a video game, and you should be playing it for fun.
I'll step off my high horse now. I know I've been just as guilty of these as other people, but I really do think that if we let it snowball this may not be fun anymore. The FFA community is a great community, and it would be a shame to have it poisoned by some immature acts and thoughtless actions.
Edit: No LW, Duck and Eshan are no longer around because they acted like immature idiots and made personal attacks. Frankly, I think that if someone does that it shouldn't matter who the attack is against and they should be banned. If this is really the view that you have, then I pity you. You're going to find the real world is a lot different then how you view it and your tunnel vision will only be detrimental.
-
The comment was deleted? Which one? O_o
And he suicided gargs (he was ud) about 10 of them, and other players (that where not even in the game) complained about it.
Your "positive development" this time was just insulting, din't do anything suggestion, just whining
-

Goodbye FML, i did not notice how dumb admins always were until today.
I don't know what your problem is. I have never heard you speak out against the admins before, if you have an issue, bring it up in a polite manner. The only comments we delete are personal attacks. If you have something to say to someone, do it in private and not on the league forum.
You're right about one thing though, I don't follow the league enough and sometimes don't know whats going on. This is because I have moved on in my life and have a full time job and a personal life to deal with. My free time is very limited and I don't always want to spend it on FML. Perhaps you'd like to step up and run the site? You can pay for the hosting and domain. Then while you're at it, create all the banners, write php scripts and make final decisions on matters which someone will end up pissed off at you in the end.
Frankly, the only reason I stay as head admin is because no one else wants to do it. I've offered it to Renaud in the past and he simply doesn't want the job. We put up applications for an admin position and only pinballmap applied (after we practically begged him). So yes, perhaps we're terrible admins as you say but we do the best that we can do with the amount of resources we have and admin power we have. We can't make everyone happy, but we do our best to make the community happy.
-
Since everyone on this forum is retarded and cannot convey their thoughts without 20 paragraphs ill just give my 2 cents:
Voted "Other" -- basically conference style but with a much smaller pool (12 maybe, 1 auto + 2-5 playing) and mandatory qualifiers for any questionable characters (Low skill, bad schedulers, etc.) S12 was a major success insofar as Ugri's format rocks, but it was also a collasal failure in that we let everyone in, which made games pathetic, uncompetitive, and turned a league into ladder quality. So either other, or A+B.
-
Renaud / Worpex : <3
I think pretty much everyone agree on the following format :
- conference with less players and 5 rounds
Only hesitations are :
- Swiss mode or not? : up to you
- Qualifiers or not? : will depend on application number
- map pool?
-----------------------------------
I want to stay out of the new drama here. Only thing I wanna say is that we kinda sorted things out with duck now.
-
To add to ugri's list, player also want to know the map before hand!
With 16 players and 5 round, I think we could have "random" matches, with no one playing the same opponents twice? That might be interesting :)
-
New maps are a must: Wetlands, Hurricane, Rock Quary, Spider Falls, Thunder Lake. 5 Rounds there is our map pool Muahahahaha sounds glorious.
Here's the other thing about doing qualifiers Wrecktify gets put in game with LouisArmstrong, wrecktify sadly loses to LouisArmstrong and pro player doesn't make FML A. I'm completely fine with not accepting everyone but you gotta draw the line somewhere. Even if we just go who made semi's bam your all in, who played every single game or had good reason to miss a game, bam your in, who was super easy to schedule with, bam your in. Who sucked cock in hell, bam you need to go play a qualifier. Every player listed on right hand side under Hall of Fame: bam your in.
On a side note 2 groups of 16 would be awesome, but lets make them equal and split the semi's up like before. Cause if 1 group of players is the "not in the top tier league" group they will go inactive it is guaranteed.
-
(RAWWWWWWWWR I WAS DONE TYPING AND ACCIDENTLY PRESSED CTRL+W)
Well qualifications would be between unknows (new commers) and lower tier players, so wreck and louis should not be in them! (Unless we get a masssssive amount of new player (highly doubtful))
For the division of conference, the main point is the separate time zone, however, we could have mixed semifinal (instead of mixed 4th round), that way no one would get a free ride, even if his conference was weaker (unless we agree that top scores auto gets in)
Edit: Since so many players wants such radically different map pool, maybe we should completely clear it, and get players to vote for all of them?
-
Edit: Since so many players wants such radically different map pool, maybe we should completely clear it, and get players to vote for all of them?
Yeah right and then they would all vote for the one they know.
Only valuable option for map voting : We classify maps in two or 3 categories and make 2 or 3 different votes, to force players to vote for new maps. Like
Vote for big map :
Rock Quarry
Hurricane
Market
Crucible
...
Vote for small map :
Deathrose
Roudnabout
Predators
Vote for new maps :
Bloodstone Mesa
Cooper Canyon
...
-
I like it!
-
Despite deathrose being a 4 player map it is not at all a small map, Wetlands we did wetlands is a small map, wetlands is sexy. I'm all for having deathrose this season, its just its the same size as silverpine.
-
Lets keep map discussion out of this thread, I will start up a new topic for that. Lets keep this focused on the format and any rule changes we might want to make.
-
If we can add a point for High score, take away a point/points for feeding. Can we please add in at least a -1 for a fairly blatant suicide? I don't mean wasting 10k on a player only to almost fuck them out of a win I mean an actual committal to ruining your chances at victory to ruin another players. This actually didn't happen much this season compared to in the past but just asking.
-
right now its -5 for feeding, and +1 for high score.
are you suggesting +2 for high score?
About the suicide, would agree, but imo its gonna be hard to find real suicide from player trying to stay in the game :S
-
I can just see the complaints now:
OMG, PLAYER X SUICIDED ME. IF YOU DONT GIVE HIM PENALTY POINTS IM LEAVING THE LEAGUE. THIS IS SO DUMB.
Not a bad idea, but I don't really see it working on the admin side. :/
-
Well it would have to be considered suiciding by more then the player getting attacked. I mean like the situation with feeding, multiple observers/players said something to renaud and he had to act on it. Same thing with the suicide i mean there is a difference between being stupid and blatantly fucking over a player.
-
I understand the theory but impossible to apply this suicide rule.
-
Looks like the league discussion is going well.
LW is completely off the mark, as usual. I think that guy has IQ of like 40. I am HUGE fan of seksi, but what he did was feeding, no way to argue around it. And, 10 gargs seems like no big deal but in a 3 way that came down to 6 hero harass that little bit of exp could have made a difference in the end, you never know. Best to stick to your principals than argue over if it was "a big deal" or not. Props to admins for sticking to their guns. Seksi has since then played brilliantly and I don't anticipate any feeding issues from him again, so win-win.
I agree the suiciding rule is a good idea with no way to implement fairly. If people are arguing this much about feeding you can bet admins will take heat from a loose term like "suicide" cuz sometimes players just mess up, thinking they can win when they can't, or getting caught up and over-committing to someone, ruining their chances unintentionally but making it look intentional.
-
It's not a big deal, I just know in past seasons where some people would play each other more then once I know these intentional suicides occured. Like I said this season was pretty rock solid so no complaints.
-
If you're implementing an anti-suicide rule I demand that you retroactively declare that I won that game with Rain and Duck on Market Square.
-
Suicide should count against a player during the next season application process -- for example despite never missing a game I certainly wouldn't let Paterique back into this league after 2 suicides and 2 RQs in 5 games last season.

I agree with wreck, best way to deal with suicides is for admins to sort it out during application process. It makes the discussion take longer I'm sure but probably worth it.
also, RQ = rage quit?
-
Well I don't remember any of his game xpte the two vs me
in the first, he din't really suicide me (since he was still trying to win to after i died, I think he simply wanted me out after I jacked him during a fight, sounds more like a p4k) and in the semi in the RQ, he was dead (unless you are talking about other RQ?)
-
This season had been very light on in game drama. The banishment of pm was a good thing I'm sure.
-
But it might have caused the game to be longer!
I usually sell out whoever is trying to survive by hiding building through pm
Now i'm scare they will harass me in retaliation!

I wasnt counting the p4k but the real suicide against oyu and the definite suicide against me. And sorry, but from the start of the game his heart just clearly was not in the savage storm game, which (should be) inexcusable for a playoff game. His language wasnt "save me cause I want to win" but more like "attack persuede cause im going through the motions to care." Its FFA. you should be a roach rebuilding like Slythe, not dropping out when the chips are down. And worst was that he just stood there as you killed his shit, which was also nigh feeding. He didnt have any fight in him, during a playoff. So maybe not rage quit, maybe "I dont give a shit" quit, which is even worse.
-
"Its FFA. you should be a roach rebuilding like Slythe, not dropping out when the chips are down"
But most players considered that suiciding!

I agree with this mentality, but feel obligated to point out, seņor wreck, that you relentlessly berated me for trying to do this in the match we both subbed in. When you rushed me out I had 25k gold, I went to rebuild by magas base and harassed you to get some charmed army up. I "fed you trip 8 and ruined the game for others" because you had double nuke and banish vs a dr, giving you free xp any time you saw me, but according to this post rebuilding like a roach is still the right call. Some inconsistency here, no?

I feel obligated to point out that I wasnt berating, but mocking, as your stated reasoning for staying in the game was revenge. And all you did was guarantee an incredibly easy victory for me. Well, not incredibly easy, but as easy as it gets getting 25k and trip 8 from you. Other inconsistencies if we're gonna go down the list is that you werent using a serious strategy, it wasnt a playoff game, we were subs, and by rebuilding where you did you guaranteed youd lose regardless as Maga would have easily crushed you if you had miraculously won. Now, if your stated reason for staying was playing for the win, then I would have been annoyed but grateful you were trying to make a game out of it.
@Renaud: Slythe was surviving, not suiciding. If he solely went after Maga and peaced with you and Ugri in order to do so then id say he was suiciding.
-
See? You guys proved the point that everyone has their own definition of the term "suicide" and thus, it is very difficult to fairly judge a suicide rule.
Now that thats over with, lets get back on topic please!
-
Actually I proved that renaud and RKK are foolish mortals and that I am Malthael. And that suicide is easily defined. Stop trolling Worpsex.

Looks like the league discussion is going well.
LW is completely off the mark, as usual. I think that guy has IQ of like 40. I am HUGE fan of seksi, but what he did was feeding, no way to argue around it. I dont even remember what I ate for lunch today, hwo the heeeeellll I am supposed to remember some random mid-season game from a season ago. I only remember one game that wasnt mine from S12 and that was the ebony/lewis/persuede/walking game.
post replay or it never happened :icon_mrgreen:
-
Are you kidding me? There was a bunch of drama going into the final because of that game!

You don't even remember the ebo/lewis/persuade/walking game. Because it was Ebo/Lewis/Persuade/Duck.
T.T noobs these days.
-
whatever walking and duck play the same way. mass fiends and not trying to win. only duck and ebony preteam whereas i think walking tries to kill ebony to avenge his broseph.
-
Yes that game was unfortunate where Duck let me die, only to get stomped by an ebony with hidden army and high lvl orc heroes. However ducks micro is far > walking so I'm not sure how you get them confused T.T
Wreck lets play.
-
they both play ud, both mass fiends, and both always come in second place. how COULDNT i mistake them?

Stop replying here and talk in the chat box u noobshit.

I mean, saying you're going to "get revenge!" seems like a good way to get other 2 guys to leave you alone, imo. If they're certain I'm not going to stab them they're less likely to put me out of my misery. I always play for the win, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've never once thrown a game intentionally and never will.
And my non serious strat would have been pwn if you hadn't rushed me!! Was totes gonna dual-race it up!

Oh I remember that game, it was some jerk suiciding me. I figured out he was trying to suicide me because he said "I am suiciding you".

i voted for fml a/b (mostly to see the answers since the link wasn't working), but my vote shouldn't count!
