This one might be weird. It's a hoarding map, so the last thing you want to do is rush... right?  Well it's exactly because of that, that it will be effective.  So shit will happen, i have no clue what, and w8man will win.

3 hu, 1 elf, pretty easy to figure out what will happen, tanks will be made, mass tp will be reached, teaming will go on, and we will spend HOURS in there, talking and chatting.  Q will be teamed for having an Alch, Humans7ar will be teamed for having an AM, Eshan will be teamed because no one (beside me) will believe what he says.  Result, no one teams the poor weak elf who comes from behind to win!

this does not look any easier than my first round... l77 and ugri have rly good macro, l77 super-base builds and ugri with his inferior hero-combo will be successful meanwhile dase gets teamed and i lose too much vs creeps, going 80 too early for being in the mix. i really did not have many good games which ended well for me on that map, awwwwww !

buke will get teamed after taking out one early, the guy though will rebuild somehow and makes it extremely hard , but when he is focused buke should and must take that game.

  YZ has this I think.  Seems likely that this duck guy will probably rush whoever is closest to him, but since its gold rush rushing someone out never actually works

 Seems like this could potentially be a 20 hour long game with 2 humans, macro-master renaud, and manip master eshan.  Regardless of anything, renaud will hoard atleast 40k and chim his opponents to oblivion

Call me crazy for choosing this, but maga is going to have a damn hard time beating/being teamed by two humans + ebo who will hoard like insane on this map.

I don't hoard, certainly not on this map. I still have nightmares of a 6+ hours long gold rush I played a few seasons ago. Anyone who hoards on this map should be suicided. I will 100 food hit anyone who is still hoarding after 20 min mark. Unless Starshaped rushes me out of course, heh

I did 4 games of 8 right in round one. And this is my new forecast,  i sure at least 5 of it will be true.

Dunno why, but he seems to me like darkhorse, and if yz and w8man won't team hard he will win.

Match of the week for me. Stars plays very good, and he had a chance to win in all his games, if he will rush out Rygo, he will win Simo and Kane. Also it will be fun if Kane and Stars will face.

I prefer his random, then Dase's elf.

Strong human, good micro. He can.
M14. Dkh.Rain

=Y.z. hits anything that moves and you just can't do that on this map. Duck will play aggressive and smart. W8man will be forced to stop hoarding. Kruppe... I don't know, but his micro is a bit worse than the others' and he doesn't seem like a good team player.
Advice to the underdog (Kruppe): team smart. Make peace early but don't let anyone hoard.

=Depending on the hero combo (I assume AM/MK/PAL), Human* likely has the best chances here. Rena and Eshan are the wildcards in terms of what race they go, and alot will stem from that. Eshan's manip is getting tired and noone believes him, so hopefully Monsoon was hit last win this season. Q-veta is a little rusty and will need to play smart to win this one.
Advice to the underdog (Q): Don't trust Eshan.

=Easy one for Simomaga. Starshaped's rush plays into his hands no matter what. Even if Starshaped rushes Simo, Simo will win the 1v1 with ud>hu early game imba. Once SS is out, Maga vs QHKane or Rygo is... mhaw... yeah.
Advice to the underdog (QHKane): peace up with Rygo (the other underdog!) when the time is right. Oh and don't backstab on this map. Even if simomaga dies, he may be rebuilding across the map, so scout well!

Advice to the underdog (red7): Scout hard. If Rain and Darker are fighting, let them. Hoard up. Then team up with Spark vs the winner, then battle it out 1v1 40k gold vs 40k gold.

Advice to the underdogs (all except Rebuke): Here is how 99% rebuke games go: he goes 80 quickly and tomes closest player. Solution: when he is toming the closest player, hit his main. Preferably together. Then he cries, then he leaves. Good game.

Thanks for your advice, Sir Rygorych!

By studying your post I noticed a picture of Farrokh Bulsara, who is by all means Kruppe's favorite performer of the fine arts!

Like this great Sir I do not like to whisper behind anyone others' back. I am very open to help somebody if necessary, but I never use private messages.

Kruppe tries do be a honorable man and the intrigue is the breed of the mediocre and the cowards, often combined.

Although you are right in your assumption, that clicking wildly around with mouses and keyboards is not at all Kruppe's passion.

How should I enjoy a game without eating, drinking and smoking if I had to exchange that to build a cathedral of APM?

There is no such thing as non-HU map, imo. There are few maps where NE are really good, few where Orc are better than usual and 1-2 where UD is better than usual. But every map is a HU map.

A map that favors another race doesn't favor hu

For example, maps that have low lumber, maps with large open area around the base (no choke point for towers) or small map where mass tp is simply not as effective as usual

Human have the "perfect counter" advantage; however, creating that counter means you must wait till you know what your enemies has, and it means you will need tower to defend yourself until your army is built.  And since those so call perfect counter are usually crappy vs any other army, you will often have to kill your own army and rebuild a new one, costing a lot of gold!

So a hu map would be a map with lots of gold mines, and lots of choke points

But most human now just go gryph/tank and forgot about the beauty of the perfect counter :(((

Gold rush doesn't gave a mama fountain, shredder, or item stacking--it is actually the most balanced map, which is part of why it is so easy to have such long games on it, which of course annoys people.

And orks hate it because all three things (that I listed above) that help make ork super imba aren't there, and the speed of a powerful ground army is exposed.

Gold rush is fine for orcs. It's bad for NE though. You don't need "mama" fountain, shredder or items to win as orc. You do need those things if you want to get teamed as orc.
