I liked Deadlock tbh. I never realized until fairly recently that other people don't. Hate Savage Storm though, that map is garbage. @.@ Wouldn't have been included if the community didn't vote it in!

hrmmmm complicate question
if there is no orc, i love pretty much any map, otherwise deadlock since the orc can't get massive item/level
since i just saw darkness' game ill go with deadlock :D

I like silverpine the best. For some reason I feel most "at home" on that map. twilight and market are too big for my comfort. Even though silverpine is pretty bad for surrounds, i think it makes for fast action games, lots of ppl fighting around middle.

Twilight Ruins - Definetly the most "ffa-esque" type of map. You have tons of creeps, plenty of open space, markets, and shredders. Probably my favorite map for that reason.

Silverpine Forest - Another fun map, it's different because of how compact it is. Position can be much more important and fewer expos means more aggressive playstyles.  Lots of red creeps, and of course the shredders + market

Market Square - An insane amount of creeps, although the base layout can cause mass towers to be a pain. Also, no markets (on Market Square, wtf?) and no shredders, so getting item luck is much more important than other maps, especially since this map drops a crapload of very good items.

Deathrose - The only 4 player map that I truly consider an FFA map, mostly due to the large amount of space. Few amount of expos, and some tempting red creeps in the middle (two of which are really easy to creep out), followed by markets that can contain insane quality items like crows and summons. IMO though, this map favors orc too much, especially because of the mana fountains, which orc benefits from the most.

Deadlock - I'm saddened to see this map in the pool, but oh well. There's a lot of space but so few creeps, in addition to position placed shops, useless merc shops (except for the occasional healing totem merc), and lots of trees behind base which really favors air focused races like elf using chims. The two middle mines can make for some dynamic play though.

Savage Storm - Have never played this map! (I don't believe), will be interesting to see what it's like

About savage storm, i suggest you play it once or twice before the round it will be in; creeps are... different ^^

Unless Savage Storm is chosen in the playoffs by the top seed, you won't see it in FML. It will not be chosen for any of the first four rounds of play. I've been hearing a lot of hate on Deadlock recently, so I'll be doing the same for that map. Next round is either going to be Deathrose or Silverpine. Round 3 will be Market Square. Round 4 will be whatever map wasn't chosen in round 2.

really? i think its a great map. we even had that 4 player map with 4 expos only. i think emerald is even better. main argument against it is the marko luck but thats only a real problem in ladder in fml players know how to react it.

i think it will make for very interesting games

Emerald shores is also one of my fav maps. One of my highest win/loss rates is on it.

The reason you have a high win/loss ratio is because so many ppl thumbs it!

personally i thumb gold rush and hurricane
