~Custom FFA Map~

So, I made a custom FFA map where all the player name/colors are randomly changed (to look like a bnet ffa game)

And to keep it fun for obs, I added a little leader-board that tells them which player is who (trying to show it for defeated players too)


Now I was wondering, would you guys thing having the option to giveup and go to obs be bad or good?

On the good side, players wouldn't have to beg to be finished off
On the bad side, it will probably be used as a manip thing "HES NOT DEAD! HE DINT SAY !GIVEUP" (then again, some ppl already say "hes not dead! hes not leaving!")

It would take away the opportunity to say "I'm unsummoning/killing my base gg" then getting an extra 30seconds to a minute to rebuild before people come looking, other than that no downside.

All the above ideas sound good Renaud! Seem's like it would be definitely worth trying out for at least a round next season  :icon_biggrin:

Played a game, was a lot of fun, and we couldn't guess who was who because of all the manip (then again, having 3 player go random made that easier)

edit: added a way for obs on defeat to know who was who.
that way mb persuade wont hate me next time he gets rushed by LW!

waiting to see if I should fix some stuff (like the obs on defeat thing), don't want to have 20 version of the map going around, confusing everyone!

Ok, found a map where you can pick race AFTER countdown, just need to find and copy these triggers, and should be even more anon!

edit: turns out that logics for switching races looks terrible and has a few bug, so fuck it~

just make it so everyone picks random, and when game starts have it let you choose your race! everyone wins!

The way they did it, was to destroy your hall/units, and replace with hall/unit you picked
but then you still have the human face for peons and human interface

custom games have options to pick different things when the game starts. i bet theres a way to have a dropdown menu on game start. i have no idea how though :/

stopping the time and showing the menu isn't the problem, it's setting the races :(
