My problem with R1 vs R16 is that R1 did much, much better than R16, yet they have basically same chances of reaching the coveted finals.

Yeah.  I like the auto to finals we usually have.  First place from EAST and WEST get in. Then the rest fight over the final two.

yeah mister rank 1, now that you are rank 1 the system is bad while it was ok when you thought you had no chance to be rank 1.

Rank 1 is also the guy who didnt disc in 4 games and the guy who didnt get rushed and the guy who showed up to all his games. It isnt especially the one who was ultradominant the whole season.

I truly think you have to qualify in a death match in order to get to the finals. I'm happy we will have these 4 games this season. Next season you guys will do w/e you want

I wouldn't say the system is bad, if anything the conference idea was really fun.  I don't know how the games compared to other seasons but I think the overall agenda was a huge success, minus the part where like 10 people just quit.

I do believe though that rank 1 should be rewarded by picking the map for his whole conference, to give a sense of reward.  But I can also understand if they don't want to do this.

But a free ride to the finals doesn't make sense in a 4 game season.
