Actually S2 showed how people were pretty awful back in the days.

S11 was OK, S10 was excellent. Most of the others - not so much :/

Why does target only get MK and Paladin?

Because his opponents aren't terribly skilled, and he wants to roll them over quickly without having to use AM for aura (waste of exp on Market)? :)

He wouldn't get away with using only 2 heroes vs actual skilled players, but no am is still valid with fountain map, e.g. BM MK PAL, ALch MK PAL or Opanda MK PAL are all good market combos.

i know the other combos are definitively viable but he only had 2 heros.

MK PALA are unkillable. they have full mana with mana fountain.

i'll do S3 final soon. Target goes the same, he faces the best ud/ne of that time, see what happens.

Yeah, on a mana map you don't need AM. AM just becomes exp for your enemies because hes hard to keep alive. It's also a lot more difficult to micro 3 heroes over 2 when you don't even need the 3rd in the first place. It allowed him to put more attention into microing his army rather then spamming heal on his AM and running it away from mass targeting.

I guess but he could of got a panda or something and this isn't the only map ive seen him with only 2 heros and the others didn't have a fountain

I think the main reason he only got 2 hero, was to get them high level faster
You gain XP boost if you have a castle and only 2 hero, so even if he did the same creeping as the others, he would end up with lvl 5-5 when the others where 4-3-2.  Allowing him to dominate.

Of course he probably should have gotten a 3rd hero once he hit 10-10 (or even a bit lower) but I suppose at that point he preferred to have an extra gryph to a lvl 1 hero

Rena, you don't get exp bonus for 2 heroes. Exp bonus is only given when you're T2/T3 with a single hero.
