Official FML Bot Launch!
« on: April 19, 2017, 05:34:14 pm »
:FMLN:

The OFFICIAL FML BOT has launched!! We are excited to finally bring our own personal bot into the mix for the league. Please feel free to use the bot as you wish to use it!

Technical Details:

Name: Agnet_TBot
Channel: ffarena
Location: France
Map List:
(click to show/hide)

Bot Commands:

!map {mapname} : Loads a map into the Bots memory
!priv {name} : Creates a private lobby to join
!start force : Use in lobby to start a match
!latency {number} : Changes latency of the match to whatever number you set

---

Bot Access and Funding:

Bot Access will currently be limited to Admins and those who donate to our Patreon.

Sadly, having our own bot costs money! Actually this entire league costs money but the bot is a monthly fee. Things just keep getting more expensive. In order to make up some of those costs, we have a Patreon account set-up:

https://www.patreon.com/FFAMasters

Please support us and help keep the league running!

--

Couple notes on the bot:

1. When loading a map, use !map (NOT !load). It uses a global tournament config file instead of individual configs.

2. It sometimes get "stuck" in a game. I don't know why it does that. But if you whisper it the commands, it still works. Games automatically unhost if creator does not join within a minute.

3. Private games have manual spoof check. Public games have automatic spoof checking.

4. Notes for improving ping using !latency command:

Quote
1. If somebody is having lags, you should do the following command in game (you can do that in lobby or while game is going): !latency 300
It should prevent lags even for players with very bad connection. But it will increase delay.

2. If players complaining that delay is too big but there are no lags, you should do the following command in game (you can do that in lobby or while game is going): !latency 20
It will decrease delay but will increase chance of lag, it primarily targets players far from bot's location and player's with bad ISP connection.

The bot is hosting at Iccup which is good (previous bot didn't).
The bot is hosting non-anonymous games which is bad. I hope it's a temporary problem.

Nope, this bot isn't intended for ladder use at this moment. Just custom games.
