Can't say I agree with all of these (mostly Eshan), but still, great work and looking forward to the next episode.

@laxu for what I understood the ranking is based on total FML wins

yeah it is based on statistics and not personal taste.

Good idea btw to give the raw statistics a voice (basically two ^^) and some nice visuals.

Just for the record bcuz Mog and Worp were talking about it:

Btw, i am around since season 8. (i learned about FML by the end of S7 and got to know some ppl and played with them beginning with S8)

But i did not want to participate in the Season cuz from the already heated customgames i assumed those league games would be super complicated and drama-prone and i did not want getting involved in it.

I tried it anyway :-D with S9, which got cancelled midway and then i played S10-15, i think. Not sure with s16/17, but i think i did not attend them.

Was inactive from end of 2013-mid of 2016. Then i observed final of S22 and played S23.

I played 5 K.O. games: 1 quarterfinal, 3 semifinals and 1 final.

That's how you pronounce Eshan?  I always thought it was E-Shan

Also awesome idea, loving it!

Also think there are going to be more top 15 players that came from solo than you expect considering the number 1 player I presume (Maga) came from the solo world.  As did SoSo

We actually talked a bit more in depth about what I meant about that in the raw audio, but it seems to have gotten cut for the video. There is a big difference between players who started out as solo players and went to FFA and players who were professional solo players and played FFA on the side. Duck is the later, Maga would be the former. There used to be a league in the solo wc3 scene called WC3L, it was basically the pinnacle of WC3 when it was around. Duck played in it with the team vVv.

Slythe, this is awesome since u played in my first custom game with FML-players.
The map was death rose and u didn't like the way I played. U flamed me quite a bit :D
After that game I had to consider twice if I want to apply to FML if it is this hostile environment. Im happy I applied since I have had tons of fun.

In retrospect it was probably just aggressive manip but I wasn't used to that :D

There is a big difference between players who started out as solo players and went to FFA and players who were professional solo players and played FFA on the side. Duck played in it with the team vVv.

Fair enough, I get what you're saying now in the distinction between part time and full time.

On a side-note though I would argue you're over-estimating Duck during his peak and underestimating Maga.  I love Duck, but his strongest results came after the peak of WC3 had passed.  A year ago I'd argue he was actually one of the best WC3 solo players since he never seemed to lose any skill, however he never put up big results when there was competition in the US scene.  Longwalk, Nilkarf, Boo, Shreik, Strifeco, Legato, Qazzi, HH, Phreak, Shortround, Wizard and even Newbiee and Inclnerator were considered better US solo players back in the day.

In addition while vVv was impressive for it's time period, it wasn't one of the top US teams.  Verge, Tek-9, u5, and aG all played during tougher time periods and had better results in international leagues. Though as one might expect, none of them did particularly well. I also honestly don't remember vVv taking part in a WC3L season, which season did they qualify for?  I presume it was one of the last ones.

Maga on the other hand was one of the top Bulgarian players, and I know 3wD competed in WC3L when it was during it's peak and actually did reasonably well (believe they beat 4Kings one season for their only loss), don't know if Maga was on their starting lineup then.

Not really sure what the point of all this was to be honest, aside from the fact that I think you are looking through Duck's US play and (vVv) through some rose-tinted glasses.  Though vVv won for drama hands down haha.  Anyways, I get your distinction between full time FFA player and solo players who just do it as a hobby, but disagree with your assessment of Duck.
