Season 17 Kick Off!

Welcome back everyone!  We’ve managed to have one of our quickest turnarounds between seasons and are ready to kick of Season 17!  Before we go any further, let’s give a big round of applause to DarkFlameMaster for his win of Season 16.  After a brilliant performance in the Season 15 finals, most knew that it was just a matter of time before he managed to capture a championship.  Most would not have guessed that it would happen this quickly though.

While the past is all well and good though, it is just that; the past.  That’s also the opinion that the FML team has taken on the regular season format that has been used for FML recently.  It’s tried and true, but we want to spice it up a bit.  So, we’re happy to tell you that FML Season 17 will be an entirely new format!

There will not be any players forced to play in qualifiers this season, instead we will be playing an elimination style season.  I’ll break down how the season will work below, and if you have any comments feel free to put them in the comments section!

Round 1 - Everyone plays, no one eliminated. (56 Total)
Round 2 - Everyone plays, bottom 16 players eliminated (40 Total)
Round 3 - Remaining 40 play, no one eliminated (40 Total)
Round 4 - Remaining 40 play, bottom 20 players eliminated (20 total)
Round 5 - Remaining 20 play, no one eliminated (20 total)
Round 6 - Remaining 20 play, bottom 10 eliminated (10 total)
Semi Finals - 3-10 play, 1&2 auto qualify for the finals.
Finals.

When we say that the bottom however many players are eliminated, this is based off of score.  The scoring will remain the same with 25-10-10-5.  The first round ties will be broken based off of the total rank (in the Season 17 standings) of players.  EG Two players have 20 points.  Player one played the rank 1, 5, 7, 10, 25, 40, 55 players.  Player 2 played the rank 4, 5, 8, 10, 23, 25, 27 players. 

Player 1 = 143
Player 2 = 102

Player 2 had the harder schedule, and as such will advance to the next round by winning the tiebreaker.  In the very rare case that this does not solve the tiebreaker, then the next determining factor will be the ladder rank on the playFFA bot.

We have a tentative map schedule for our first for maps, while there is a slim possibility this will change we certainly don’t plan on having that happen.  The last two maps will be announced as the season progresses.

It's Yaws, we have a couple previous matches including one that was shoutcasted.  It was not a good match for him though.

He plays under the account skyblue or something like that.

Wait, you mean Yaws is someone I should watch out for?  I have no clue what happens outside the ffa world, how good are we talking?

Yaws is famous in germany, he played 1vs1 on the highest level ( EPS) and beat some famous players like Sky. Also i do not know how good he his in FFA. but lets see ;)
