Start Date: Nov 27
End Date: Dec 29

Here are some answers to frequently asked TBR questions

Who will be the captains?

The captains of Team Battle Royale 4 are going to be :Finland: Aarnikratti, :USA: Eshan, :Russia: DV, :Austria: TomToast and :Peru: SuperCumulo. We couldn't accept everyone as captain and based our decision on recent reliability and if there were any other events, positive or negative. Thanks to everyone for volunteering.

Will every player get drafted?

Yes. Also, we will immediately assign players to their respective Discord team channels during the draft. TBR is a great opportunity for people getting to know each other and collaborate, even if they weren't close before.

In what order will the captains draft?

During our FML meet up in Prague on Nov 23, attendants will find a way to randomly define the order. It'll be a "snake draft" as usual (pick 1-2-3-4-5-5-4-3-2-1-...).

Will matches in TBR4 be played anonymously?

Yes. As in previous TBRs, admins will provide smurf lists to all teams. Players will need to create these smurfs and join their matches. We have to live with the ping being visible in the match lobby. If Blizzard rolls out Reforged before Dec 29 and shuts down current Battle.net immediately, admins will decide how to proceed in that regard.

How many matches will there be?

Throughout TBR, there will be around 40 matches in total (each match is skipped by one of the five teams). Teams will get a bonus for each of their players that played at least four matches.

How do we accommodate different time zones / continents?

This is a tricky one, especially since we seem to have fewer players from the American continents this time. We do want to maintain a repetitive schedule, so people memorize the play times, but also accommodate different time zones. As last TBR, one weekday match per week will be played at 17:59 EST | 23:59 CET for that reason.

How about players that are FFA beginners still?

TBR is great to experience FFA and team spirit without having 10k hours of experience in this mode. We appeal to teams to encourage and assist all their players, no matter how well they play. In general, we only accept players to TBR that have played some inhouse matches before or are known to admins.

What if players abandon their teams or players sign up after the draft?

We had some unfortunate debates in previous seasons, where players signed up after the draft and teams argued over who may get that player. To avoid this, there will be a "72 hour rule" in TBR4. If a player leaves a team or signs up subsequently, we wait 72 hours (for potential other sign ups or exits) and randomly assign the new joiners to teams with available slots.

How will the score structure look like?

Same as last season, victories in FFAs with one player per team will get rewarded with 10 points and if there are two players per team (team FFA and preteam mode) 15 points.

How do we deal with no show?

It's up to the captains to ensure that players show up on time. If admins are in a good mood, they may send reminders in the respective team channel, if not, they may immediately sub that team 10 minutes after the scheduled time. It is more important than ever to start on time, as we publish streaming times on warcraft3.info and elsewhere.

Let's have a great time and make this the amazing event it has been for so many of us before  :icon_biggrin:
