Sunday October 20th, 15:00 EST/21:00 CET - Anonymous FFA

One of the most common complaints about FFA is that people get teamed out for their name too often, or people react to the player, not the game. Well, Persuade has decided to put on a bit of a showmatch to experiment with players all playing under anonymous names. The way it works is that you private message Persuade about playing and he will assign a random account to you. All players within the game will have these random accounts so they can’t know who is who. Full information can be found here

What’s New in the Forum?

Given that this is the first This Week in FML that I’ve posted in a while there’s been quite a bit of activity. I’ll try and hit on all the important things, but if I miss anything I apologize and feel free to commentate on it here!

[Guide] Gproxy++ Setup by Meeds

Disconnects have long been one of the biggest problems in league matches. A great game can easily be ruined by someone dropping from it, and it’s not something you can prevent… except you can! Not too long ago Meeds was kind enough to write up a quick guide on how to install GPoxy++, but it disappeared from the site somehow. Well, V2.0 is here and it’s impressive. Every single person should have this installed, no doubt. If you disconnect now, odds are it’s something massive or your own fault for not having Gproxy installed!

[Guide] Setting up Your Stream by FML|Mage

A fairly well written (if I do say so myself) guide on how to set up your own personal stream. We at FML love to watch players streaming FFA, and we want more of our regulars to be able to if they so wish. It may seem like a daunting task, however it really is not that complicated!

FML Shoutcast in French by Jey_s_Tears

A cool shoutcast of one of our Matches done in French. It has almost 1k views and completely positive feedback. In addition there are some links for other shoutcasts of FML games in both English and other languages!

Faces Behind FML - Post Your Own Picture by ATiBright

Not a new thread by any means, however it’s been bumped recently. For those of you that may not have seen it you should check it out and share your own pictures!

Misc Notes

We’re approaching some cool milestones on both Facebook and YouTube, while we’ve already cleared some cool milestones on our Twitch.TV channel.

FML Facebook - We’re currently at 47 likes on our Facebook page, which is close to 50 and a nice round number. While 100 will be the much cooler milestone, 50 should be pretty sweet as well. Once we hit 50 look for some type of prize drawing that can only be won if you like us on Facebook!

FML YouTube - We currently have 48 subscribes here, so it’s beating our Facebook page by one! This is actually much more important though, because once we reach 100 subscribers we’ll be able to stream via YouTube! This will be much easier to watch because the YouTube app is good, and the Twitch one isn’t. It will also be much better quality than Twitch is, and overall just a lot more fun for those trying to watch. While we certainly won’t abandon Twitch, we hope to be able to stream on YouTube at the same time. So, do us and yourselves a favor and subscribe to it today!
