Who here plays SC2?

I just got sc2 and i would like to add some of you have actually have it im on NA though so only NA :(

Yes I used to a while back, even played extensively in Beta, my summary of it:

1.) The campaign kicks ass and is a lot of fun, do it all on Brutal though or else theres no point. After finishing in Brutal, do all the campaign achievements.

2.) Solo gets boring fast, it's probably just me, but it's not enjoyable and I used to play it a lot. Even tried different races. Back in beta I faced pros like Idra and inControl, Artosis, Huk. Usually got my ass kicked though. I can only play 1-2 solo games now and get bored immediately (but I eventually faced that problem in War3 as well).

3.) RT (which I enjoyed alot in War3) is a joke due to the fact that RT teams can match AT teams. And yes, this is intended. At higher ELL, the RT is a complete RNG (random number generator) fest, half the time you'll face an AT team and get completely stomped, it just made the gametype no fun, an RT team had 0 chance vs the coordination of a master league AT team.

4.) AT can be fun, but your win ratio will be 80%+ if you're good because you keep matching RT teams. Eventually it will come down to who can cheese the fastest, most AT games last only 10 minutes or so.

5.) FFA is pointless because it is not ranked and none of the qualities that make FFA what it is from War3 don't carry over to SC2

6.) Custom games I heard are pretty fun, I would check some of them out!

7.) No LAN, no ability to connect to other regions, and crappier chat rooms than those of War3. Also, I heard now you can't view the losses from other players profiles. Wut?

Bleh, SC2 was a big letdown for me, I'll buy the expansion when it comes but probably only to play the campaign.

Waiting patiently for Diablo 3 ....

I'm in agreement with Darkness. Campaign was amazing (although, playing it on Brutal? FUCK THAT.) I played solo for awhile and even competed in a major SC2 tournament a few months ago, but it's really not all that fun for me. I love spectating wc3 games, but in sc2 it's very dull. Instead of chat like, "Wow, look at that imba DH and OMG CREEP JUST DROPPED A TOME OF GG!" you get stuff like, "Yup. Terran is winning." Just nothing to talk about when watching the games since everything is literal - no random factor at all.

I didn't like any of the Custom games, but on that note, custom games were never really my thing, even in WC3.  No clan support and automated tournaments either which is a huge shame.

I saw an official thread on blizzard forums made by some blue that said year 2020. With blizzard times that probably means that d3 won't be here til that time and maybe we'll see wc4 in this century

I have not posted anything about 2020 regarding wc4 here. I saw it on d2js(a trade-forum for diablo II among other games) - i will edit my post when i find the link

hehe... Well there was a link in the post to somewhere a blue had written on blizzard forums, but i can't find it any longer. I found a lot of posts about 2020, but none with any blizzard officials were there anymore
