So, yeah.  Wreck was talking about this the other day, and I remember playing it during beta but not much else.  Anyone else play it, and does anyone have some good advise for those just starting to play?

Quit now. The noobs in your games will drive you bonkers. It's a team game, so unless you're prepared to die for the mistakes of others, don't dooo eet.

I played it for awhile. I suggest not playing it, its fun but a pointless waste of time. The Community is a bunch of dick heads. I stopped playing cause I was sick of being yelled at for dumb reasons. Wait for DotA 2.

Stop chasing for wc3 clones. Wc3 is still after 10 years one of the best games out in this category. Sc2 is a total macro game. I would prefer to play C&C if i want to play sth like that. The only problem is the younger people (we were all the same) always need the newest games due to better graphics, beeing able to talk during breaks ... Better graphics doesnt mean that the game must be better. I mean i still have fun playigng wc3 after 8 years. Blizzard is thinking about the economy which is absolutely legit so they let wc3 die (no reset, no banwave and no blizzcon event etc.) because theres no logical reason to invest in a product that doesn't collect money anymore. Im sure there is millions of people who bought wc3. I don't see alternatives to wc3 yet so i stay at playing wc3. The only alternative i see is wc4 in 2016 coming out, but i probably won't be playing anymore by that time  :icon_wink:

Relax man, Heroes of Newerth isn't a wc3 clone. Its a DoTA clone. Besides, its free.

This may be one of the dumbest things I've seen you say LW haha.  First off, as Worp said its nothing like WC3.  WC3 is all about strategy while HoN, LoL, and DoTA are all about pure hero management.  If anything, I would say they're closer to WoW though again it is still not a good comparison.  You're also implying that people aren't capable of playing more then one game of the same genre.  Lots of people play both WC3 and SC2 which while not identical, are certainly in the same spectrum.  I would as well, except that I don't find SC2 to be fun.  If I was trying to find a clone or replacement for WC3 it would mean I was tired of WC3, something that is obviously not true as I'm still playing it.  I enjoy playing lots of games though, and I enjoy being able to play games with other people that I know.  That's mainly why I was asking about it, I've heard some good things about HoN.  Coupled with the fact that I was sure some people from FML would have tried it, and maybe still played it, and it seemed like a good option to try out.  Apparently I was wrong, but not for any of the reasons that you stated.

Actually i does. Take a game, then the same game with better graphics and the latter is better. Graphics matter.
