guys , when will be 4 players  final , only 1 game ?     can it be 2-4 games with points and  best points player is champion ,  its sad  when 2 mounts of games and only 1 random game do the champion .

It's an interesting idea, but this season is set. We're always interested in hearing new ideas though.  What happens when two players tie in score though?

Also current scoring system is 25-10-10-5 fyi

We've thought about that idea many times to t0yota and it just wont work out logistically. There are far too many out of game factors which prevent this from happening. Typically it takes about a week to schedule a FFA game with full open schedules for all 4. For a grand final which has multiple games, it could take over a month to get all of the games scheduled... that simply is far to time consuming for the league to handle.

We have 4 Players, A B C D

Game 1: Player A wins
Game 2: Player A gets teamed from the start to make sure he doesn't get 50 points, which would make him unbeatable; Player B wins
Game 3: Points are now 35-30-20-15,
-Player with 15 points can't win he will just do what ever he wants... probably kill whoever pissed him off the most
-Player with 20 points can only win if player with 35 points gets last place
-Player with 35 points wins as long as he gets 3rd and player with 30 points doesn't win, just needs to rush player with 30 points and leave, GG

AKA: Game 1 will be fun, game Game 2 will be bullshit and Game 3 will be even worst

There is no possible way to make it balanced and fair, whoever wins the first game literally has 0 chance of winning the whole thing making any series past game 1 pointless.

ffa sure is a weird gametype ! I'm pretty sure many solo players stared in disbelief when they first saw this league. there is no actual non-gaming sport that resembles it ( though I would be interested in some ffa rugby  ). as for gaming, well quake tourneys were always 1v1.

even on popular sport, there are two schools of thought. a good example is my favourite one, basketball. nba uses a loong season, long bo7 playoffs, and a bo7 final. winner is usually the best team. but, in europe they play their long season, do some bo5 playoffs, but the semis and finals are one game - the final 4 -, which is intense and very interesting, with surprises being commonplace. Ten years ago they tried to change it up to a bo5 and they quickly changed it back next year.

point is, a final is a final. champion's league and euroleague are no fools. ffa, as you mentioned, has extra reasons to have a single final. maybe fml could have a couple of extra games leading up to the final somehow.

I think the only sport which is similar in structure to FML/FFA is the NFL (Handegg/American Football). It has the same principal of the grand final being just 1 game. As a spectator, I think it makes the final game more special and more interesting. You want to be there for the final game and to watch it live because there are no other games. Thats the end - the winner is the champion!!

On a player level, I can definitely see why having multiple finals games is something to be desired. Having just one bad luck game can blow the whole season. However, its just not something which is feasible.
