Re: Communication Pause
Horrible decision. Instead of making pause manipping implicitly disallowed you've now opened the flood gates for 10 min pause-and-spam fests.
I can see your points and it looked a bit suspicious, but many things are also made up by you. That some guys say something in chat and soon after a player does it is no prove that he cheated same as he calculated goldamount well (which he also did another game few days ago, maybe r2 game, maybe inhouse) or upgrading the towers.
I can fully understand that there are suspicious moments, but no proofs. As mog said can only stop streamers from doing live streaming without delay and really say " go play fair" to everyone. (it would be a shame if ppl trying to get advantage of streamcheating and all their wins been tarnished by it)
We are happy to announce the return of our FFA ladder bot. It is online and hosted by wc3melee, which also features a very active random team ladder and was established by Ping. It took some time and effort to get where we are now. Thanks to SomethingWicked and Massmoretankz, the bot was almost ready to launch, when the 1.29 patch hit the fan and technical hurdles appeared on the horizon. Due to dozens of bots that flood the custom game lists permanently, it requires special tweaks and requirements to make bot games visible. This is also the reason, why the bot will only host Blizzard maps for the time being.
We believe that the collaboration between FFA Masters and wc3melee will benefit both communities and together, we can provide a great ladder environment for everyone.
As turbulent as June began for FFA, as quickly it calmed down. Ladder activity might return, but maybe it's not the worst thing to leave some of the drama behind. W3C is a great thing, but even the best ladder can't replace our FML family events. It's time for Team Battle Royale again. Yay! This is the thread to sign up and here are some of the details.
Since many of you don't seem to read stuff anyway, I try to keep it short and simple
TBR will take place from July 18 until August 16
It's an event with different FFA modes (4-way Standard, Random Hero, Team FFA and more)
Four pre-defined captains (they already know) will draft their teams from all signed up players. If we have more sign ups than expected, we consider a fifth team
This TBR will have 45 games per team, which is more than previously
Probably, there will be team cards again, no more preteam mode and more standard FFA
We will try to make TBR games anonymous as in the past by using shared accounts. If you are willing to help sponsoring them, please let me know!
We only accept players that are known to admins, due to the risk that comes with shared accounts
There will be a soft cap (no points) and a hard cap (can't play) for matches per player this TBR, to avoid some of the discussions we had in TBR4
If you want to participate, please post your name, nationality, race that you will play during TBR and why the captains shall draft you. Sign up deadline is probably going to be July 12.
