Maybe we can have a vote after each round, for everyone's favorite game (only FML players and mods can vote).
Top scorer or two top scorers in the winning game receive 1 bonus point.
-Something to look forward to!
-People will strive to make their games more exciting in some way!
-Helps with breaking ties!
Just a thought, I think this would be cool

Personal I'd rather have people be rewarded for playing well rather than putting on a show.
That being said, I think it would be fair to give highest score +2 or +3 or something, as +1 is somewhat irrelevant.

Well, people are already rewarded for playing well. 25 points is quite a lot :)

You're right, but it's 1 point per round... 5-25 points per GAME are lost due to no-shows...

Interesting idea, but people are just going to vote for their own game or not at all. Why would people willingly give their opponents a point? : /

keep idea, forget points, just give credit for the best and worse replay of the week!

Yeah you're right Worp, logically that would be the case.
Then maybe mods select it?
Or like F10 says, just post news about best rep of the round based on vote? Would be cool too.

I think it should be like this.
One person is in charge of creating a poll at the end of each week, or day, or game, or round, picking various things from the games that we all vote on.
So like one poll topic would be best micro trick, and then we have a list of 4-5 things that list the time of the trick, and match so people could rewatch something they missed.
List of ideas could be like, best overall replay, luckiest hero save, sickest move, worst decision, etc. Granted we would need 1 person in charge so that everyone can send this person a PM with their suggestions, as it might be hard for this one person to notice every single thing in every game.
For example, some bad mistakes this week from the games I remember, were...
- EM2 [Time] - Player Persuade missing the TP transfer, losing both heroes.
- EM2 [time here?] - Player Redkeekee kills level 7 ogre with AoW.
Or unluckiest play, etc. Could include things like l77 leaving as I was about to save him, or starshaped dropping when he was ahead, etc.
This post is a mess, but I'm sure you guys get my idea. I'm just unsure if we should do it at the end of every week, or every round (2 weeks), or every day...

More complicated = less likely to work.
I like the voting each round on the best game (for each conference). Then after the season vote on the best game of the season for each conference then see which conference had the best game.

What about just end of season voting then, for things like best rookie, best game, best hoarder, etc.
simple best game sounds boring =/

I'm quite in favor of coming up with some categories to vote on the end. It would be hard to decide how many to have, but if we came up with about 10-15 I think we could have fairly unbiased voting. We could do mvp, rookie of the year, best for each race, most innovative, best micro, best macro, etc.

We should still encourage someone to be in charge and at least jot down peoples opinions throughout the season.
If the best move happened to occur during week 1, most people might forget entirely by end of finals.

I think for an undertaking like this, you'd need a "committee" to closely follow the league throughout the season and discuss the 'Best of Awards' together at the end. Personally, I don't have the ability to be part of this group but i'm sure we can easily come up with 3 or 4 people who'd be willing to do so. Perhaps even making some nice graphical images for it as well.
Perhaps Blex, Mage and Persuade? Maybe one of the admins as well, Renaud maybe, he seems to be the most active.

yeah, if we are to do that, we should probably do it per round, and then do rewatch them at the end of the season to be sure!

On a completely seperate note my vote costs 5 euros per a vote.

It might be good to have someone to keep track of some candidates for best game/play/micro situation, but I think everyone in the league and the admins need to be able to vote. It wouldn't really mean much if 3-4 people decided all of them.

To me, I think it would mean more. If these 3-4 people are the ones who've watched all the games and have seen all the moves available to them, they would be the most qualified individuals to decide who should get the awards. If there is a poll it becomes just a popularity contest.
"Oh hey, this guy is my favorite player, he should get this award!"

Maybe. Personally I think the "awards" would mean a lot more if they were chosen by the players. Having 25 of the best FFA players say you're the MVP means a lot more than 3 admins.
