S24 Round 4: The Bloody Road Ahead
« on: December 12, 2016, 02:22:38 am »
 :FMLN:

Welcome back! This week we congratulate the winners from round 3: WeAkUD, ZsSuperCumulo, Rain, FML|Magadansky, svedirko, DV-, Wrecktify, AJIKAIII, GEASS, noexxx, and TheTrumanShow. Notable victors Noexxx and DV- top the leaderboards with 3 wins for 3 rounds apiece, while Cumulo, GEASS, and WeAkUD nab their second wins to join NoMercy and Slythe in the upper echelons. Unfortunately, this round is the great purging round, and we have a number of eliminations to announce.

The following players are eliminated*:
:Germany::orc: ena1337
:Russia::ne: Nightelf
:Finland::ra: aarnikratti
:USA::ud: ashalar
:Ukraine::orc: Nline
:Russia::ud: KENT2566
:Russia::orc: Ostone
:Bulgaria::hu: Leader
:Russia::orc: Airenikus
:Russia::orc: mrSweets
:France::ne: Ponty
:USA::ra: foxfart66109
:Germany::orc: letshavesomefun (re-replaced by WorpeX)

*While he had 32 points, Gradient won a tie-break in which we totaled the points of players faced.

Keep in mind that at the end of this round we are eliminating everyone who doesn't have a chance at semi-finals, which means if you don't yet have a win, this may be your last opportunity to advance. The road only gets tougher from here as matches get more difficult on average. Please find your match in the list below to schedule, and play your game before the end of Sunday, December 25th. Sunday, January 1st (holiday extension) Good luck!

ROUND 4 PREDICTIONS

M41
:Bulgaria::ud: ObserveAndLearn
:Finland::ra: Rain
:USA::ne: Redkeekee
:Poland::ne: Gradient

USA vs Estern Europe, and Finland. This game shows some promesing action. Redkee is a talented player who has shown dominance in any engagement he´s had in his previous games. Usually coming ahead in fights but crumbles later on to the usual 2v1 to make the game more balance.
Now he faces great competition, as a matter of fact, players who are around his level, such as Rain and Maga´s prodige, Obs&Lear; to top it off we have Gradient in this match which can be the wildcard and steal the win that he desperately needs. I think this game may be either a long 3 way or a long 4 way with anyone having equal chances of winning if played right. Nevertheless, I´ll go with Redkee since his elf is pretty solid in all match ups.

M42
:Peru::hu: Zs.SuperCumulo
:USA::ne: Wrecktify
:Germany::hu: GEASS
:Sweden::orc: Fetta_ook

Tough game for everyone, gl hf.

M43
:USA::ne: Mog[skynet]
:Germany::hu: QQs
:USA::ra: AlienWareOwnZ
:Russia::ud: Jaody21

This is another promesing game, just as much as M41. I´d say that Mog and Redkee are around the same lvl, and so are Jaod and Maga´s prodige, while Alien and Rain are both random players I think? and QQs ofc being the wildcard  :icon_lol:. I think there is a high likelyhood that QQs is eliminated 1st leaving the game for an early 3 way where it can go any way, but ultimately Alien will get a taste of his own medicine and get teamed by comrades Jaod and Mog  :icon_lol:. Ultimately Jaod will win because of nuking, unless Mog´s tinker mastery comes into action. I´ll go with Mog because he´s cool and a nice guy overall.

M44
:Germany::orc: Pinballmap
:Russia::orc: SecondBreathe
:Denmark::hu: zTsoso
:Germany::ra: Slythe

Quite frankly, if soso doesn´t make the most out of this game, he may have a tough game next round where he´ll most likely face a heavy weight player. I think soso will win his 1v1 with no trouble but then the 2v1 might be an impediment to obtain his 1st win this season. We´ve seen this before that players either tunnel vision him or gets teamed because of "name" lol, or at least that´s his excuse. Let´s hope he gets his first win by handling the 2v1 which is most certainly going to happen.

M45
:USA::ra: Eshan
:Germany::orc: TheTrumanShow
:Finland::ne: j33.
:Russia::hu: AJIKAIII

Another intersting game with everyone on the same skill level. I think j33 needs a win more than anyone but based on his performance from round 3 I think he´ll have to step up his game. Eshan is mostly manip based player so it´d be intersting to see how many times he lies in this game  :icon_razz: jk jk. As for AJIK and TrumanShow I think it can be a fair 1v1 with backandforth, but if Ajik gryphon rushes him on time, then it might be over for Truman. Overall I think Eshan has a better chance at winning since he usually excells in games with players around his level.

M46
:Russia::ne: Dinamo
:USA::ra: Persuade
:Bulgaria::ud: XoZ_Magadansky
:Switzerland::hu: noexxx

Very intersting game, perhaps one of my favorites to obs. Dinamo and Persuade are probably around the same level since Persuade is inactive and really hasn´t shown the same level of skill has in 2014. Dinamo is overall a decent player but needs to play godlike to get a win this round. Noex and Maga are the clear favorites and they are both very aggressive and unforgiving opponents. It´d be nice to see a solid and fair 1v1 between these two folks, let´s hope that the map allows this to happen :D. I´ll go with Maga since he´s had tougher opponents so far this season.

M47
:Germany::ra: WeAkUD
:USA::ud: Red7z7
:Russia::ud: qwest
:USA::ud: WorpeX

This game boils down to Qwest vs WeakUD, Qwest needs a win at all cost so he´ll have to decide how to handle the game in order to get his precious win. As for WeakUD, he´s very aggressive too, but his style easly angers multiple players so it may be wise to focus on one player at a time this time. Red and Worpex may go under the radar and hoard, but ultimately their passiveness will be their burden, although Red pulled a nice rush on Wreck in round 2, maybe he does something similar again, we´ll see. I hope Qwest wins, since he really needs one already.

M48
:Russia::orc: b100death
:USA::ra: SteppinRazor
:Canada::ne: Renaud
:Sweden::ra: Junkerzam

Very intersting game as well, I read that b100 wanted to quit the season, let´s hope that doesn´t happen, but if it doesn´t then he´ll probably win this round. Renaud might try to suicide b100 for being orc, but it won´t work because orc is imba race. In the mean time, Junkerzam and Steppin will have even battles and peace once b100 wins his 1v1. Ultimately it´ll be either a base race or a 2v1 against b100, but I have hopes in the russian power horse so I´ll go with him again.

M49
:Denmark::ud: Tleilaxu
:Kazakhstan::ud: DV-
:Peru::ud: NoMercy2
:Serbia::ne: svedirko

This is an easy win for DV; in fact, he´ll probably go random to diminish the likely hood of teaming, that way go undertheradar and win like he did in round 3.

M41
:Bulgaria::ud: ObserveAndLearn
:Finland::ra: Rain
:USA::ne: Redkeekee
:Poland::ne: Gradient

I can see rain and obs duking it out while rkk gets a lot of gold.  Should be a nice game where anyone can win, I think rkk will end up pulling it off in the end though.

M42
:Peru::hu: Zs.SuperCumulo
:USA::ne: Wrecktify
:Germany::hu: GEASS
:Sweden::orc: Fetta_ook

I think cumulo and geass will be too worried about eachother that wreck will hoard more gold then donald trump and then build a wall of ancient protectors protecting his base from all the non americans.

M43
:USA::ne: Mog[skynet]
:Germany::hu: QQs
:USA::ra: AlienWareOwnZ
:Russia::ud: Jaody21

Jaod seems to always manip against mog, so he will probably do the same again here leading to him getting suicided while alien tomes qqs and then snags the win.

M44
:Germany::orc: Pinballmap
:Russia::orc: SecondBreathe
:Denmark::hu: zTsoso
:Germany::ra: Slythe

None of these guys can match soso in 1v1.  Someone else might have a chance if its a 3 way with soso slythe and pbm where they team soso hard but even then I think soso can find a way to win

M45
:USA::ra: Eshan
:Germany::orc: TheTrumanShow
:Finland::ne: j33.
:Russia::hu: AJIKAIII

Eshan + j33 = 4 hour game.  I think this will be a crazy game with manip, rebuilding, and mass chims ftw.  j33 will find a way to win

M46
:Russia::ne: Dinamo
:USA::ra: Persuade
:Bulgaria::ud: XoZ_Magadansky
:Switzerland::hu: noexxx

NOEXXX GOES 4-0 FTW.  I see this game being fast, with maga and noe taking out the other two and then final 1v1.  Hard to get against maga, but noe is just too dominate right now.

M47
:Germany::ra: WeAkUD
:USA::ud: Red7z7
:Russia::ud: qwest
:USA::ud: WorpeX

Likely another fast game, will be between qwest and weakud likely but qwest will probably play it smart while weakud will be broke and maybe have a pissed off cl harassing him

M48
:Russia::orc: b100death
:USA::ra: SteppinRazor
:Canada::ne: Renaud
:Sweden::ra: Junkerzam

M49
:Denmark::ud: Tleilaxu
:Kazakhstan::ud: DV-
:Peru::ud: NoMercy2
:Serbia::ne: svedirko

Feel kinda bad for DV here since all 3 of these oppponents will start crying the second he goes 80 and hits them so he will likely get 3v1 really early which sucks and he will probably suicide laxu in the end for talking too much.  Meanwhile nomercy will just sit in his base all game doing nothing but will have a lot of gold.  IMO DV should just play human and 100 food rambo everything since hes gonna get teamed anyways

M41
:Bulgaria::ud: ObserveAndLearn
:Finland::ra: Rain
:USA::ne: Redkeekee
:Poland::ne: Gradient

Small maps benefit UD.  Especially if they go on Mesa.

M42
:Peru::hu: Zs.SuperCumulo
:USA::ne: Wrecktify
:Germany::hu: GEASS
:Sweden::orc: Fetta_ook

This game probably won't get played since Fetta can't play weekends apparantly.  If it does I think Geass wins.  Best macro/micro of the game, and Cumulo's playstyle will probably cause me to suicide him.

M43
:USA::ne: Mog[skynet]
:Germany::hu: QQs
:USA::ra: AlienWareOwnZ
:Russia::ud: Jaody21

Jaod solid player.

M44
:Germany::orc: Pinballmap
:Russia::orc: SecondBreathe
:Denmark::hu: zTsoso
:Germany::ra: Slythe

Pretty sure zTsoso could win this 3v1 (no offense PBM I STILL LOVE YOU!!)

M45
:USA::ra: Eshan
:Germany::orc: TheTrumanShow
:Finland::ne: j33.
:Russia::hu: AJIKAIII

Typical FML admins being on point, j33 says he's done with FFA after his last game suiciding slythe and yet here he is this round.   Never paid much attention to Ajikaji but he reminds me of that other Human player who kinda stunk  in fights but had great mass-tp skillz.  I dont remember that player's name though.  oh NTROPY! Yah Ajikaji is like rusTropy

M46
:Russia::ne: Dinamo
:USA::ra: Persuade
:Bulgaria::ud: XoZ_Magadansky
:Switzerland::hu: noexxx

Persuade is inactive and will either no show or get tomed by noexxx (maybe saying this will make him both practice and show up?)  Anyway all these maps are UD-centric so I like maga here.

M47
:Germany::ra: WeAkUD
:USA::ud: Red7z7
:Russia::ud: qwest
:USA::ud: WorpeX

HAZE/BRAWLER AND UNIT FORMATION WILL FINALLY WIN THIS WEEK!

M48
:Russia::orc: b100death
:USA::ra: SteppinRazor
:Canada::ne: Renaud
:Sweden::ra: Junkerzam

Apparantly b100 also quit the league.  So I will go with Brazzers here.

M49
:Denmark::ud: Tleilaxu
:Kazakhstan::ud: DV-
:Peru::ud: NoMercy2
:Serbia::ne: svedirko

DV- is like a less likable, more skilled version of Tleilaxu.  I think he becomes only 4-0 player in the league after this week too.  Svrdrinko mighit have a shot but this is a pretty lousy list of maps for his play style.  I think DV vs. Laxu will be entertaining though.

The Matches

M41
:Bulgaria::ud: ObserveAndLearn
:Finland::ra: Rain
:USA::ne: Redkeekee
:Poland::ne: Gradient

gradient a step behind the other three, cuz he likes to play funny combos and does not care too much about microing single units. i hope he can get a win, but it´s gonna be tough. R & R are doing sometimes weird stuff, so i pick the most consistent player in O&L.

M42
:Peru::hu: Zs.SuperCumulo
:USA::ne: Wrecktify
:Germany::hu: GEASS
:Sweden::orc: Fetta_ook

HAHA. Take that... nerds, HF.

M43
:USA::ne: Mog[skynet]
:Germany::hu: QQs
:USA::ra: AlienWareOwnZ
:Russia::ud: Jaody21

i expected more from alien this season, but he has still time to shine :P. qq´s decent shape, jaod seems not as active and mog has to show something now :P. Should be a nice racewar.

M44
:Germany::orc: Pinballmap
:Russia::orc: SecondBreathe
:Denmark::hu: zTsoso
:Germany::ra: Slythe

2n1 won´t be enough, we need 3vs1 soso from start  :icon_twisted:. He needs to sow conflict and hate between the others, so he will escape the merciless onslaught and strike back with precision and callousness.

M45
:USA::ra: Eshan
:Germany::orc: TheTrumanShow
:Finland::ne: j33.
:Russia::hu: AJIKAIII

Tricky game. Eshan & Ajk tryhards will run into a furious j33 and a green robot, that will end in a nasty game with j33 in top.

M46
:Russia::ne: Dinamo
:USA::ra: Persuade
:Bulgaria::ud: XoZ_Magadansky
:Switzerland::hu: noexxx

XYZ vS XXX, persuade no shows and dino needs to get lvl early, but can play an important role in the 3way. Noe should go easy and don´t go with 5-0 into a final, or maybe he should? Time for Maga for set up hurdle.

M47
:Germany::ra: WeAkUD
:USA::ud: Red7z7
:Russia::ud: qwest
:USA::ud: WorpeX

4 X UD WHAAAAAAAAAT. Wanna see red vs worp and qwest vs weakud. Could be two nice 1n1. Let´s see if thy chose some nasty ud mirror heroes, like pítlord, panda or DR.

M48
:Russia::orc: b100death
:USA::ra: SteppinRazor
:Canada::ne: Renaud
:Sweden::ra: Junkerzam

Hard to predict. b100 not so standard orc abuser, mixes in some nice innovation and has good creeproutes and mapknowledge, so he will be a good pick, unless he fails at handling adversity and decides to flame. With Stepping he has a good counterpart, hopefully we see some nice trading of not so nice words between them. Junker should play undead and go for renaud, sorry renaud, u gonna end up 4th  :icon_twisted:.

Posting from phone (excuse the mistakes)

M41
:Bulgaria::ud: ObserveAndLearn
:Finland::ra: Rain
:USA::ne: Redkeekee
:Poland::ne: Gradient

Redkeekee will win this as I think He is most complete player in this cast. Rain might have good micro but from what Ive seen from him he's been trolling and suiciding in his previous games. ObserveandLearn is improving from last time I faced him in inhouse but i think He isnt strong enough yet to compete with players like Redkeekee and Rain. Gradient might have a shot on a big map.

M42
:Peru::hu: Zs.SuperCumulo
:USA::ne: Wrecktify
:Germany::hu: GEASS
:Sweden::orc: Fetta_ook

Will cumulo get another freewin? Thats in fact possible looking at the cast. Last
 time Wreck faced cumulo He got manipped and became the personal puppet of the peruvian. Though cumulo might be blinded by his daily-increasing love for americans and give Wreck the win. I don't think it Will be the case as I see Geass as the winner of this round. He's been improving his ffa skills and is way better than the others at microing.

M43
:USA::ne: Mog[skynet]
:Germany::hu: QQs
:USA::ra: AlienWareOwnZ
:Russia::ud: Jaody21

I can feel a lot of tunnelvisionning in this game. Mog and Jaod have history and Alien may be a target of teaming since He is pretty aggressive in the early game. QQs might be overlooked and win the game in the end.

M44
:Germany::orc: Pinballmap
:Russia::orc: SecondBreathe
:Denmark::hu: zTsoso
:Germany::ra: Slythe

zTsoso is the clear favorite for me in this Game, but we know the favorites dont always win in fml and Pinballmap played a good Game last time vs rain.
The teaming because of name will be harsh in this one !

M45
:USA::ra: Eshan
:Germany::orc: TheTrumanShow
:Finland::ne: j33.
:Russia::hu: AJIKAIII

Every player has a shot here. Eshan is not performing very well this season (no wins yet right?) but is always able to find a way to win. Alkash the human abuser also has chances in this game, even if we dont always know what his 300 apm are used for when we look at his fights He might be in my eyes the best at fighting in this cast (hu op). Trumanshow has some qualities and I hope He will play a better game than his last one and put the right items on the right heroes. J33 is the most experienced player and is very good at using the NE race un very late stages. Very hard Game to predict.

M46
:Russia::ne: Dinamo
:USA::ra: Persuade
:Bulgaria::ud: XoZ_Magadansky
:Switzerland::hu: noexxx

Hard game but Noe wins depending on who the Persuade sub will be. If maga wants to win He needs to either rush noe with 80 food or coordinate teaming with Dinamo against Noe.

M47
:Germany::ra: WeAkUD
:USA::ud: Red7z7
:Russia::ud: qwest
:USA::ud: WorpeX

This will be a funny game. 4 undeads? I hope to see a 1n1 between Worpex and Red to make the game more balanced. Qwest is a very cunning player but weakud is very good at micro. I still think qwest wins.
I wish Worpex and red will play funny heroes and make the ud mirrors more entertaining.

M48
:Russia::orc: b100death
:USA::ra: SteppinRazor
:Canada::ne: Renaud
:Sweden::ra: Junkerzam

Junkerzam is not very impressive this season but is the most skilled player here for me. Other players have some chances but overall junker is one step above If he plays ud or elf.

M49
:Denmark::ud: Tleilaxu
:Kazakhstan::ud: DV-
:Peru::ud: NoMercy2
:Serbia::ne: svedirko

Dv already premanipping in cbox about his cast to not be teamed but I'm sorry for him He needs to prepare a plan to counter the incoming 3v1.
Though the other players need to be careful to not feed him in these ud/elf fights as he can roll over everyone with high level heroes.

:USA::ne: Redkeekee
:Poland::ne: Gradient

Redkeekee and observeandlearn are probably favorites in this one. Much depends on the early 1on1 where I see gradient losing to any of these players. Hopefully he stays alive so he can flourish :)

M42
:Peru::hu: Zs.SuperCumulo
:USA::ne: Wrecktify
:Germany::hu: GEASS
:Sweden::orc: Fetta_ook

Fetta will most likely lose to any of these players in 1on1. Maybe he can pull something off against cumulo who suck vs orc :). In the 3-way I see Geass being teamed the most because of his relatively passive style (lots of gold + human with mass tp and good micro => teaming). Cumulo will overcommit and make a mistake thus leading to win of wrecktify.

:USA::ne: Mog[skynet]
:Germany::hu: QQs
:USA::ra: AlienWareOwnZ
:Russia::ud: Jaody21

Looking forward to this one. I think QQs is the underdog here. Alien is the strongest player on paper, but he will most likely be teamed by jaod and Mog. It will lead to an interesting 3-way where anyone can win. I'll go with Jaod because he is good vs elf and can thus win vs mog in last 1on1.

Please be nice

M45
:USA::ra: Eshan
:Germany::orc: TheTrumanShow
:Finland::ne: j33.
:Russia::hu: AJIKAIII

This will be a close game. I predict trumanshow or eshan exiting first. Ajikaiii will surprise in the end with his ultra tryhard mentality and win :-)

M46
:Russia::ne: Dinamo
:USA::ra: Persuade
:Bulgaria::ud: XoZ_Magadansky
:Switzerland::hu: noexxx

Noexxx is a beast lately. If he survives through the early game vs maga he can win. If not, maga is sure to take this. Dinamo needs to step up his game to win here! Best chance for him is probably to get a sub instead of persuade on his level :-)

M47
:Germany::ra: WeAkUD
:USA::ud: Red7z7
:Russia::ud: qwest
:USA::ud: WorpeX

Qwest plays really well most of his games and then starts to make idiotic mistakes in the end. This seems to be his style in FML. On bot ladder he is a beast. Anyway, I predict that weakud or qwest will win this one. I can't see red or worpex winning vs either weakud or qwest in 1on1.

M48
:Russia::orc: b100death
:USA::ra: SteppinRazor
:Canada::ne: Renaud
:Sweden::ra: Junkerzam

Razor can take an underdog win if he plays smart. Junker hasn't impressed this season. Renaud is playing solid, but i think he might find himself in a position where he could get teamed rather hard here with b100death out.

M49
:Denmark::ud: Tleilaxu
:Kazakhstan::ud: DV-
:Peru::ud: NoMercy2
:Serbia::ne: svedirko

This will be the worst game of this round. I don't even want to predict it, but I think it is enough to say that DV will most likely be teamed to death.

gl hf fellas.

M42
:Peru::hu: Zs.SuperCumulo
:USA::ne: Wrecktify
:Germany::hu: GEASS
:Sweden::orc: Fetta_ook

hmm..... what a fucking match. the most stacked match this season yet. it's gonna be hard for god wrecktify (definitely the most entertaining player to watch for me personally) on small maps having to deal with a smart orc and two excellent human players with awesome micro and decision making in the likes of GEASS and the peruvian incan-god-resembling sexy hunk SuperCumulo. Still though GEASS the german war machine has always been my pick, guy can play, so i gotta go with him.

M43
:USA::ne: Mog[skynet]
:Germany::hu: QQs
:USA::ra: AlienWareOwnZ
:Russia::ud: Jaody21

What a great match.  think it would be a close 3-way between mog, jaody21 and Alien- . still my money is on the undead brotha.

M44
:Germany::orc: Pinballmap
:Russia::orc: SecondBreathe
:Denmark::hu: zTsoso
:Germany::ra: Slythe

Sly is crazy with the hero combos and you gotta love that. But zTsoso's play is just god damn impressive in my eyes.

M45
:USA::ra: Eshan
:Germany::orc: TheTrumanShow
:Finland::ne: j33.
:Russia::hu: AJIKAIII

Eshan is smart, resilient and flexible. Although alkash and thetrumanshow are great players i think in the end it would boil down to eshan vs j33. and eshan would win because maps are smaller. On the other hand thetrumanshow might have a chance if he stacks 5 or 6 mantles of intelligence on his blademaster.

M46
:Russia::ne: Dinamo
:USA::ra: Persuade
:Bulgaria::ud: XoZ_Magadansky
:Switzerland::hu: noexxx

Ah can't help it but root for a fellow countrymen and an undead brotha. But then again it's a pretty good bet. On another note though -
It's Dinamo's time to shine. It will be hard versus the american teamers from bulgaria, switzerland and usa. But remember this
If you had, one shot, or one opportunity? To seize everything you ever wanted. In one moment. Would you capture it, or just let it slip?
I want you to go mom's spaghetti on these motherfuckers and make the most interesting match of the century.

M47
:Germany::ra: WeAkUD
:USA::ud: Red7z7
:Russia::ud: qwest
:USA::ud: WorpeX

my heart wants red to win but my money on this one is on qwest who is still an undead brotha so it's great.

M48
:Russia::orc: b100death
:USA::ra: SteppinRazor
:Canada::ne: Renaud
:Sweden::ra: Junkerzam

Looking forward to this game, excellent players all around.. Still my money is on b100death. He has an aggressive creep pattern and can hexastomp your mother till you get a sibling.

M49
:Denmark::ud: Tleilaxu
:Kazakhstan::ud: DV-
:Peru::ud: NoMercy2
:Serbia::ne: svedirko

hmm, svedirko is one hell of a motherfucker and if he wasn't facing DV- i would put my money on him. the other two don't excite me very much.probably nomercy will hoard until there is no gold or wood left on the map while crying "help" and tlailaxi will be cyber-fucking everybody's mother and wishing cancer to all of us. Because you know.. That's how this internet bad boy rolls.
