WCA Americas Qualifier - Information, System Schedule

Eight months after the initial announcement of the WCA America Qualifier, we can finally confirm the information that you've all been waiting for. WCA partners with the brazilian company LNEe and Back2Warcraft to create the biggest event the forgotten continent has seen in years.

$13,900 and two tickets to the Grand Final on the line!

Sign up

Signup is open until October 27

Information & System
  • Only players from North-, Central- and South America are allowed in the competition, and all games will be played on W3Arena on US Hostbots
  • Eight players will qualify for the groupstage
  • 4 players will be invited
  • 4 players will go through a pre-qualifier on October 29th

Prequalifier
  • Early rounds will be best-of-one
  • Quarterfinals are best-of-three
  • Semifinalists will qualify for the groupstage

Groupstage
  • Four players double eliminated system (GSL Style)
  • 2 players per group will qualify for the playoffs
  • All games will be best-of-three

Playoffs
  • Four player double eliminated system
  • WB & LB Semifinals are best-of-three
  • WB Final, LB Final, and the Grand Final will be best-of-five
  • Top 2 will qualify for the WCA Grand Final in Yinchuan, China in December

Schedule
  • Saturday, October 29th: Pre-Qualifier
  • Saturday, November 5th: Group A
  • Sunday, November 6th: Group B
  • Sunday, November 13th: Playoffs

Previous WCG Americas winners. Frankly I think they've all quit wc3 so idk why they were invited.

Insuperable is highly rated on ladder, and ferfe is still very active and likely the best current US player.

LW and Sonkie are the 2 best American players historically, both still are moderately active
