FFA Symposium inhouse league
« on: December 14, 2015, 11:26:09 am »
Hi  :icon_biggrin:

Fml season 21 just ended

It's time for the FFA Symposium League to make its appearance, no pause for the ffa scene !

I resumed pretty much everything about the league in this google.doc, it's pretty simple (thx dv for your idea)
The league will pretty much last until a new FML season starts !

https://docs.google.com/document/d/13zepmISJpA8DmM-8hnNZWCxMhddlAsObAyImNfmgTPk/edit

We will start to count the points this week end. You guys can propose some bonus/malus points ideas to make the league funnier.

I also need trustful people to help me edit the scoreboard.

Nice idea, similar to "FML ladder" in 2012/2013.  A couple points:

You should have to state at the start of the game if its an official FFA Symposium Ladder game.  As simple as "FFA Ladder" at the beginning of the game.

The point system you have looks fine, but another idea is as followed:  You can +1 point for each other player in the game.  4-ways = 3 points, 6-ways = 5 points, 8-ways = 7 points etc.  This way, players are encouraged to play bigger and more epic FFAs (and can come back in a season by winning a huge FFA).  What do you think about this?

For some bonus points ideas:

+1 point for 10/10/10 heroes
+1 point for Highest Score (in a loss)

I answered you in twitch tchat, i prefer the current system point because it makes people play more, i don't like the idea of climbing lots of places just by winning 1 12-way :)

the 10/10/10 heroes bonus point sounds good
I disagree with the other one though, only the winner should be rewarded

Makes sense.  Current point system sounds good.

The idea behind top score getting 1 point (in a loss), rewards players for playing well but (usually getting teamed out in a leading position).  It encourages being active and fighting a lot.  The highest score player will often be the most active one.  Consider that one!

Actually you are right if it's only 1 point, why not

The idea sounds like our old FML FFA Ladder 2012/2013 . I really underestimated the work behind it. since i had to evaluate each replay manually and post results/add points.

The bonus targets will make it a bit hard to distribute the points.

For example: how you want to prove each players goldcount during the whole game? Will be hard to see who was below 6k and who was not.

First: every replay automatically being saved at ffarena site
Second: if someone got bonus point, he just should say about it, we wont check trustfull ppl
Its fun league anyway, more like its thing to make inhouse games more interesting
