There's no season running at the moment. Most people from the community are on summer holiday or busy.

It's preseason at the moment, waiting for all realms to be connected to start the first season (missing rubattle.net and eurobattle.net)

But there is a problem i don't know to solve with these realms

2- Map changes

- Removed unpopular maps (Garden of War, Flood Plains, Battleground, Thunder Lake)
- All maps start with 4 players
- Rotation is : Market, Sanctuary, Deathrose, Silverpine, Northshire, Twilight Ruins, Deadlock, Gold Rush

3- Other changes

- kicking ping limit set to 270 from 230
- removed CGArena official maps in rotation, so it does not compete with ffarena bot for visibility on bnet

(I like this topic better because it talks about progresses, and we are doing some!).

GOOD NEWS

1- With more servers, more activity!

When it will get to something decent, I will set back the big maps to 6 players before starting.

2- Negociations with the owners of the Russian FFA bot

Having only one bot is better than two. We discussed with their two Melee bots admins along with Yosh and Ponty. Not going into details but they want to work together, one admin named Dan used to play on playffa so he knows what we could do together.

3- We could start a ladder if the system actually worked

Yosh has access to the database to we could reset the ladder and make seasons anytime.

To be solved

1- System does not work yet
Bot gives the winner to.... the first who leaves? Yeah it's seems that way and it makes no sense.

2- No access to the ftp
Yosh and apparently Keno, nobody ever had access to the ftp. It creates several issues
* cant have nice statistics website with map images and such

* cant have the game name automatically posted on front pages of website

* cant have the game result actually appearing in game results pages. The ladder still records the result, but does not show the outcome of the game.

3- No access garena yet
Because lunaghost must set it up.

No worries I think, if lunaghost really cant help, plan B is to use the russian bot already existing instead and connect it to the realms it cannot touch so far. We would need to negociate a full access to it though to run successful seasons.

We have access to the ftp. We could have the scripts to show the game name front page again. But I lost them.....

Everything about the ftp is solved, meaning that we can see game names and fix results manually again. This is a huge step.
