:USA: :ra: Seksi
:USA: :ne: DFM

This is it.  The Season 15 Finals.  The survival of the fittest, the cream of the crop, the best and the brightest.  Or, failing that, our 4 finalists are what we’re left with at least.  Without further ado, let’s introduce our Season 15 Finalists.

:USA: :ne: DFM

The newest of the batch, DFM has managed to make it to the finals in his first season of the FFA Masters League.  An impressive feat that is even more impressive when one considers that he didn’t even get to play his own first game.  Because of his travelling situation he wasn’t able to qualify from the qualifiers at the start of the season.  It looked like he wasn’t going to be in the season, but after the start of Round 2 one of our 16 players was forced to drop out for personal reasons.  DFM was the obvious choice for the replacement.  After that he didn’t waste any time making an impact in his remaining games.  He won 2 of his 3 games, and pulled off a second place finish in the 3rd of those games.  This allowed him to directly qualify for the finals, an honor that only goes to the top 3 in score at the end of the season.

DFM plays a different style of Night Elf than most of his brethren.  With a few exceptions, most of the elves rely more on a macro styled game plan and are willing to sit back and watch the game take shape around them before making their moves.  DFM on the other hand is a strong micro player who can be as aggressive as anyone else.  With the cast in this finals, and the map choice, that will be a necessity.  In addition Deadlock is a solid map for Elf ground armies so we might get to see one, a rarity in its own sense.

:USA: :ra: Seksi

Another fresh face to FML, though only in comparison to Maga and Humanstar who have been playing FFA since dinosaurs roamed the earth.  In recent seasons Seksi has been putting everything together and is easily one of the most feared players in FML.  He made it to the Finals last season, and won FML Ladder Season 1.  This year he won his first 3 games and was directly qualified for the finals by the end of Week 3.  Not an insignificant accomplishment in it’s own right.

Seksi is the last of our random FFA players left, though my sources tell me he’s going to play Undead this go round.  Seksi is a former solo player (though most of our finalists were at one point or another, another first) who has managed to balance micro and macro.  In some of his first games a few seasons ago he found himself being teamed to death for being too dominant too early.  Following that he found himself using too much manip and creating unhappy spectators.  Now though, he seems to have found the sweet spot.  If he can maintain that perfect balance of micro, macro, and FFA sense in the finals then Seksi will be a major obstacle for any other player thinking they might win the Season 15 Final.

:Germany: :hu: Humanstar

Our third player is no stranger to the finals.  He may be the most successful player to never win a championship.  Ok, on second thought that dubious honor probably belongs to :USA: :ne: Nooblex, but Humi is a close runner up.  He’s never had any trouble dominating the regular season, and has directly qualified for the finals several times before and won his semi-final match at other times.

However, Humanstar is coming off of a semi-finals win that has to be one of the most impressive dominating performances by a player in the semi-finals.  Could this provide the spark he needs in order to peak that last plateau?  It’s too early to tell, but Deadlock should provide some interesting ideas for Humanstar who has never been short on inspiration.  Perhaps some mortars through the woods?  Or a Sparkle special 132 food army?  Time will tell, but I’m confident that he’ll put on a good show regardless.

:Bulgaria: :ud: XoZ_Magadansky

Our last player is one who needs no introduction.  One of our few two time FML champions, he’s looking to make it a trifecta.  He’s been in more finals than he’s missed, and performed well in most of them.  Some might make an argument that he is the most successful FFA player to play in FML, and it’d be hard to refute.

But his own reputation can be his downfall at times as well.  He spent an entire season being teamed out of games right off the bat, and while that hasn’t happened recently it’s always a possibility.  His incredible FFA sense combined with great micro and the ability to manip at the most opportune times has led to his success.  When this gets combined with the other players styles it should create an amazing game.
