The top 4 will compete in a final 4-way to win the league (hope Mage finds the time to cast it with Thendis)

Remember, the top 1 player gets to choose the map of his choice, it can be a 4-players map like a 12 players map, normal or rdm heroes

top 4 is pretty much locked in unless someone masses hard games this week,

but 5th and 6th place is very close among many players, would be interesting

to be clear I was mocking Eshan, changing the rules would be a slap in the face to the top 4

If I may give a suggestion (though I know it may sound biased), this is to use the former FML format - top 3 to final, 4-7th place play a semi to determine the other finalist since at the moment it is pretty clear who will be playing at the final. All 4 are very active so there is no chance to have them passed. Otherwise, just play the final this weekend so that everybody wants to watch can do so (e.g. Sunday, not Monday).

EDIT: Or maybe even a 6 way semi?

So I said I was ok to change rules for the finals if all the current top 4 agreed to make it 6way. Cumulo refused so the final will remain a 4way

Concerning the possibility of a semi-final, i'd be ok too, but only if soso (or DV if he finishes 4th sunday) agrees, and i dont think he would accept to risk his place for the finals

Also from what cumulo told me he will not be able to play the final this sunday but rather during the last week of February

Its okay - its been a fun league, the only reasons i suggested 6way is because most of the sympo games have been 6+ players, and that it gives some more players a chance to win. Considering the only real criteria for making top 4 was to mass an insane amount of games and most of us didnt have time for that

Maybe if you guys threaten cumulo by saying you will check all his games for the usage of maphack he will be scared enough to agree to 6way final

I agree with the decision to keep it a 4 way. The difference in score from 4th to 6th is large enough that it really wouldn't be fair to the players who put in the time. Furthermore, i'm of the opinion that once rules get posted they don't get changed. Keep up the good work ponty!

Also, I want to point out that I have a 100% win rate in this league. Thanks.
