Pleased to see another activity spike in FFA, the mode that never dies. Although parental duties are keeping me busy, I'm willing to organize another Team Battle Royale. TBR 6 was great and while I think it'd also be time for another FML season, I simply can't cope with the scheduling aspect. So I hope everyone is excited for TBR 7 and willing to try hard as always.
What is TBR? It's a team event, where all participating players are being drafted into their teams by four team captains. Throughout the month of July, teams seat their players for the daily FFA games scheduled. While the majority of matches will be regular FFAs, we also include other modes (e.g. random hero, no chat, random spell, team ffa etc.). Every team has access to three shared Battle.net accounts, so matches are played anonymously.
When: July 1 - Jul 30, 2022
Please sign up by posting your name and if you would be willing to be a team captain into this thread. Feel free to add some details about your motivation and availability throughout July! Only known community members that proved to be reliable and know FFA basics will be permitted.
Remarks:
We may not be able to host via W3C due to visible ping in lobby and the map pool.
It's always a bit tricky to maintain "map pool hygene" in TBR. As usual, I will provide the map file subfolders before the event and hope everyone can paste it into their folder pathes.

How to sign-up and play • Pre-register in FML discord https://discord.gg/7XKMuzA • You can pre-register for multiple weekend's cups • Pre-registrations after the 16th person go to the wait-list -- you will be the first to fill in spots if they open up • We only consider pre-registrations for a cup up to 12 hours prior, after that you can still check-in and hope to find a spot, but it is not guaranteed • While you don't have to pre-register to join a cup, spots are limited so we encourage you to pre-register early to secure a spot. It also greatly helps admins to plan the event • Players who win a cup and qualify for the overall final cannot play in subsequent cups, regardless of pre-registration
Checking-in on Cup days • Check-in begins 30 minutes before each cup (FML discord) • When check-in closes, if there are more than 16 people, the 16 player spots are given with this prioritization: 1. Players who pre-registered (first 16) 2. Players on the waitlist (pre-registered after 16) 3. Players who haven't played a cup match yet 4. Everyone else: the order of check-in • Match assignments are drawn and announced when check-in closes. The game should be immediately hosted and start within 10 minutes • Players who don't show up will be subbed, no delays
Other rules • Same rules as FML except the following (mostly to support a cup format) • In the case of a timer ending, winner is determined by hero kills followed by gold mined • No islands • Players each have only 5 minutes pause • Games will not be re-hosted unless there is a disconnect in the first 2 minutes • Match assignments will be loosely seeded by performance in recent FFA events • Games must be hosted from event map-pack • Maps are custom and have sudden death starting at 75 minutes and game ending at 90 minutes
Sudden death features • Players gold and lumber cut in half • Heroes base HP cut in half • Buildings max HP drop to 25% • Workers can't build new buildings
Most importantly, even though we hope for good competition, this is meant to be a fun FFA event. Treat each other with respect so we can keep this small community together and continue doing more FFA events in the future.

I'm excited to finally announce the FFA Mini Cup Series! This event consists of 4 weekends of "mini cups" followed by a final. Starting on the 12th of November, each Saturday at 19 CEST / 13 EST, there will be a mini cup. Each mini cup 16 players will compete in a 2-round bracket (four 4-ways, winners proceed to a second 4-way). Winners of each weekend's cup qualify for a spot in the overall final (4-way) to be scheduled at a later date.
Basic details • All players are welcome to join (as long as you are known to the community - no smurfs!) • Play in as many weekend cups as you want • No prizepool (we play FFA for passion and bragging rights) • All games are 4-way FFA, time capped at 90 minutes, with the final 15 minutes as sudden death

Congratulations to Team Ravenclaw for winning TBR 6. With their impeccable performance yesterday, Ravenclaw achieved a 66% win rate, not only in tie breakers, but also in TBRs overall. Titles of TBR 1, 3, 5 and 6 all held by the famous Hogwarts house.
I repeat myself, but thanks to all of you who participated, captained, streamed and hosted. TBR used to require so much effort and nerves that it was hard to fully enjoy the matches. TBR 6 was different and after a few too many freewins early on, we witnessed many close endings in the second half of the season.
I'll be on parental hiatus for some time now, but will keep you up-to-date. Really happy to see how the love for FFA brings people together, even in 2022
