Scheduling / Re: EM7
« on: March 13, 2012, 06:32:46 pm »
03/14 (Wednesday) - Any time after 6 PM EST
Thursday-Saturday - Double shifts each of these days, could only play no earlier then Midnight EST on Thursday, and 1:30 AM EST on the weekend.
03/18 (Sunday) - Any time after 2 PM EST

Next week schedule to be determined, I will know for sure either Thursday or Friday.  SO best bets for me, this week at least, is this wednesday night (tommorow) or this Sunday

Redkeekee, looks like all the days you can play I cannot  :icon_confused:.  Can you play Sunday?

Is that 19:00 EST (which would be 17:00 PST)?

If it is, I won't be home until right about that time on Monday.  This time would also conflict with ReFleckKt who cannot play earlier then 19:00 PST.  If the suggested play time was in fact 19:00 PST, that would work and confirmed.  But if it's referencing east coast times then we would have to bump it up a couple hours.

Hi,

I will be able to play (with 0 games played in 4 months) on Sunday the 4th any time in the afternoon or evening.  Or if you wanna give me a couple days to remember how to play, Monday (5th) or Tuesday (6th) any time in the afternoon or evenings/nights would be best.

I could also play the following Sunday (11th) if for any reason we all can't play early next week (Mon or Tue)

Strategy / Re: FFA guide and shit
« on: February 22, 2012, 02:57:51 pm »
Dude.

It's a matter of fact that ALL 3 races can expand faster then Orc.

A great hall takes (by far) the longest build time to complete.  Elf can expo WAY faster then you with a AoW + 1 archer tavern build, AoW creeping.  Undead can also expo faster with a quicker build time Haunted Gold Mine.  Lastly, Human can obviously expo faster with peasents.  Why would a human only expo with 1 peasent when one of its racial benefits its power building?  I'm not sure how you can possibly think Orc can expand the fastest.

And another note... You can start with grunts every time and be prepared for tier 3 rushes, every time.  IN solo or 2s, the typical tier 1 start is 4 grunts before tier 2.  In FFA, typically its 2 or 3.  Having only 2 or 3 instead of 4 allows you to get your tier 2 hero right away, tech tier 3 and also add 2 production buildings.

Also: Where is this guide, I don't see it!  And for a shameless plug, soon enough I will have a guide as well that will have a fresh perspective on FFA with a lot of contributions from the community.  It will  be a unique guide aside from nooblex legendary book to enjoy and utilize in its own respect!

League Discussion / Re: Banning PM Chat
« on: December 23, 2011, 04:41:27 pm »
Ban PM.  Pretty much every FFA player with any skill agrees with this too.  You can still team the strongest, even team whoever you want thorugh ALL chat.  As longas you coordinate through ALL chat it is an even playing field.  The players who are better at manip will still have an advantage through all chat.   You can hear what everyone says and they can hear you.  Fair.  You can manipulate fairly based on this, or succumb to other's outchatting you.  Regardless, every level of chat and teaming and manipulation is done where all players can view it and have a chance to respond.

Fair.

I voted for Thunder Lake (NICE MAP!), Bloodstone Mesa (also a great map, old school), and Monsoon.

The first two maps if you aren't familiar are balanced and strong ffa maps from the past! Monsoon, Gold Rush, Crucible, or Harvest of Sorrow for 3rd

Suggestions / Re: season lenght

6!!

6 promotes the most accurate standings because of a larger sample size.  With only 4 games, one or two bad games could be season-ending.  Further, it allows for more games and more maps! /agree with eshan's comments about this also

Thanks Worpex, I appreciate it, everything is positive.  And to Kruppe, the professional of them all, thank you and you present sound advice.  All I can hope for is that rebuke takes a look at that link and tries to improve his own problems.

Anybody with any decency would at least respect another human being going through struggle.  It's ok though because we see many people on the internet just like rebuke, all we can do is feel bad for them, hope or pray.  People that go online and act all badass, talk in all caps, call people trash/nerds/etc have obvious social problems outside of wc3 thus resort to trying to be cool on the internet.

I bet he has never had sexy women look his way, substantial friendships or true happiness.  I guess he feels like he can compensate his lack of character, respect, or  substance in life by being mediocre at wc3 and an asshole to everyone around him.  They call that small dick syndrome.  Beat up on noobs and talk shit,  pretend in your own mind that you are good at something, make up for what's really missing in you, all while being protected by the safety net that is your computer.  Call people TRASH and LOLLOLOL and talk like a dweeb to feel big and mighty in a video game.

Even by your own measurement of success (wc3), you are only an above-average player at best.  TRASH, NERD DOWN, LOLOLOL, ITHINKIMTHEBEST, etc is just a translation for "I need to make up for the many shades of loser that I represent".  On the internet you're bad, you're tough, you can be arrogant and anything you want to be! lol, what's next, call me a virgin? Everybody knows someone like this, and I bet most would agree with this sentiment.

While me exposing your character in this fashion goes against what is right, I made an exception because it was personal.  Anyone that doesn't at least feel for somebody dealing with true catastrophy is either cold-hearted or an ignorant, troubled person.  I would never put down anyone morning death and disaster.  I understand serving you a rebuttle is counter-productive but I felt like it was called for.

PS>> Everybody else is cool and has been for the longest time. I'm not going to keep on  in some dumb internet war with disrespectful characters.  Thanks for being true and I'll be back soon. For rebuke you can just re-read my second paragraph for a summary. That, or reflect on the concept of small dick syndrome in your own case.

That is all.
