Gratz QQs, when the season started I thought Noexxx and Cumulo were the only hu hope, but you proved me wrong.

My predictions generally sucks big time that's why I retired.

Looking forward to watch this game  :icon_mrgreen:

@Eshan the situation with my fml season was totally different. DV gave up his semi final spot willingly - in this situation trunks is misunderstood because he trolls.

I did not say the final would be fake. I said it would hold less value to "ME" - that is not the same thing.

All I want is the original line up, lol. What else would I gain from typing this? ridiculous!

@Mog, I dont really understand what my fml season has to do with this?

Im a Trunks fan and would like to see him play in finals - that is all. I didnt mean to say that the final is less significant in prestige if he isnt playing :)

Noexxx made the mistake of winning his first 1v1! from there it went down hill, I don't know if he forgot that you ought to lose your first 1v1 (or pretend to be) to be ignored the rest of the game so u can squeeze a win in the end. That is how good FML players win with "superior strategy and decision making" :icon_wink:

GG

Nice win by player x - turned out to be a cool game to watch after all :)

Rage Critters vs Fetta Inc. vs Zig Zag ZIGGURAT! vs Church of Renaud

:DI: M33
:Russia: :orc: Airenikus [Rage]
:Sweden: :orc: Fetta_ook [Inc]
:USA: :ne: Mog [Zig]
:Canada: :ne: Renaud [CoR]

Mog is the favorite in this one, but i am going with Renaud because I think this is a game where he can be overlooked. Fetta and Airenikus are like loose canons in the midst of two very experienced night elves who know how to take wins the macro way :-)

Renaud should be able to any of these players in 1v1 and can hoard relatively uncontested on this map to get his late game chippo build going. However, he is probably not accustomed to the map and he only plays in FML so his rustyness may be his undoing as it has been in previous games.  This might suggest that Mog[tryhard] will win because he makes sure to practice maps and device clever plans to win every fml game based on his knowledge of each player's style. However, I don't think Fetta and Airenikus will allow Mog to get another easy win so i'm going with Renaud.

:LT: M34
:Germany: :hu: LssL [Rage]
:Germany: :orc: MrSweets [Inc]
:Sweden: :ra: Junkerzam [Zig]
:France: :hu: Valefort [CoR]

Kudos to Junkerz if he dares to play undead this game! Valefort's suicidal tendencies to kill off undeads before the final 1v1 has already been felt by Jaod who took a hard beating. However, Jaod got avenged later by a drunk Dinamo in true rus mafia style :-)

My bet is on LssL this game. I think he will win his 1v1 and get overlooked the rest of the game and win a surprising win. Here mrsweets and LssL are the irrational players while junker and vale are the rational if junker doesn't play undead :D. Guess I have a tendency to predict underdogs to win :D

:BG: M35
:Germany: :ne: HighTac [Rage]
:USA: :orc: IWANTWC4 [Inc]
:USA: :ra: Eshan [Zig]
:USA: :ra: Seksi [CoR]

This is a game of manippers. LoL. Eshan and Seksi will for sure be at each other's throats or snake heads if you will! hizz, hizz.

IWANTWC4 will lose his 1v1 and cry for help, but Eshan and Seksi won't stop to help him. In the end Hightac wins because Seksi and Eshan have too much rivalry and ego to think clearly when it matters.

:P: M36
:Finland: :ne: Aarnikratti [Rage]
:World: :orc: Betoon [Inc]
:Hungaria: :ud: Tyrant [Zig]
:Peru: :hu: Zs.Supercumulo [CoR]

This is a good cast for Tyrant both because of his skills in 1v1 and his ability to manip players with relative weak ffa sense to help him win. He will have learned from his previous lose vs cumulo and play his cards better. It will either turn into a fast 3-way with betoon out of the game, or it will be a relative short game where one player walks over the rest after an easy 1v1 (probably Cumulo or Tyrant).

Bad Manneroths vs Free Agent Squad vs Suicide Squad vs Free Ena

:DI: M37
:Russia: :ne: Dinamo [BM]
:Argentina: :ne: Supremo [FREE]
:France: :ne: Ponty [SS]
:Germany: :ne: Trunks [Ena]

Who can stop the Trunks machine? Mass elves. Ponty and Dinamo's best chances is to preteam and team Trunks for name. However, if Trunks takes out Ponty or Dinamo first he will win an ez game. I'm going with Ponty because I think this will turn into a crazy game where Trunks isn't allowed to finish a player before getting teamed. Sadly.

:LT: M38
:Germany: :ra: Slythe [BM]
:Germany: :ud: WeakUD [FREE]
:Germany: :ra: SosoHasRedHair [SS]
:Austria: :ne: TomToast [Ena]

ToX is taking FFA serious and he's one of the best microing undeads right now with only Tyrant on the same level. Here, he will have a chance to play vs three cunning and experienced players. I suspect this will be a very good game and am really looking forward to this.

All these players are in a proces of development except for Slythe who I don't see putting much effort into improving these days. My gut tells me it's either going to be Shave or Tox who wins because they are the best 1v1 players here and thus have better chances to make it to the 3-way.

:BG: M39
:Lithuania: :hu: EvilPeanut [BM]
:Poland: :ne: Gradient [FREE]
:Switzerland: :hu: Noexxx [SS]
:Germany: :hu: QQs [Ena]

The Switz powerhouse. What can I say? I looked at this cast and thought to myself that Noé is the clear favorite. Only teaming can stop him, but if he makes mass levels from gryphon rush it will be hard for the other players. My second favorite to win this game is actually Gradient who knows how to take advantage in 3-ways and is very hard to kill.

:P: M40
:USA: :ne: WRECKTIFY [BM]
:Germany: :orc: Joggel [FREE]
:USA: :ra: AlienWareOwnZ [SS]
:Russia: :ud: Jaod [Ena]

Yet another win for Wreck? This will be a tougher game for him I suspect though. The map doesn't favor his style at all. Alien doesn't go easy on top players and is playing top notch lately with any race microwise. He's aggressive and unforgiving. It's safe to say these two players will be in the 3-way unless they fight each other early and I suspect Alien can take an early lead.

So the question is what will happen between Jaod and Joggel and how will that change the pace of the game?

Jaod has good ffa sense so he will not be easily fooled. Joggel is the wildcard here. I suspect he or Jaod will be out first leading to a close game. Given Jaod's performances vs hu and orc it's tough to say. He is definitely better vs undead and elf, so for his sake I hope he makes a good strategy on the map to get an early advantage.

I think Jaod will be out first and joggel will be the joker that decides the game in favor of Alien or Wreck.

Cool vid

I liked to hear opinions about teams and this week matchups.

I had most of the time similar opinions with mog. Looking forward to next episode with SHAVE as guest

God no!

Thanks a lot for this King's corner addition! I smiled all the way through it. I suppose "king's corner" was Wreck's idea? ;-)

I am glad we have at least 3 players/admins in the community with some common sense left to correctly evaluate players and matches! Unlike most of us who are in feuds after inhouse games or deeply immersed into EGO complexes/discussions on discord ^^
Usually related to who's the better player or who has the bigger penis.

General Discussion / Re: The Greatest FFA Players of All Time
« on: November 13, 2017, 12:08:53 pm »
Great write-up Seksi.

Seksi should be in the list of top undead players and top random players list in my opinion. One of the strongest players i've faced in FFA with great micro, decision making and cunning play. I learned lots from you, yane, htrt, maga when I entered the scene. Your weakness in your prime was your tendency to overdo it to secure your win. Especially in regards to manip you would hurt other players' chances to a point they would suicide you in that game and future games. Diplomacy, reputation and behavior is very important in FFA. Really important. This is something I think Noexxx and j33 truly excel at and I think their likeliness in the community helped them to get big achievements and results :-).

I would swap DV with Cechi as DV dominated the scene for undeads when you weren't around. DV together with tyrant have achieved much more than Cechi in FFA. I have always considered DV a rival of mine and equally skilled opponent.

It's tough to place Ostone really as he was both good with undead and orc, but never really top caliber in my opinion (micro wise), but overall he's a top ffa player that I respect deeply because of his kindness, sharp intellect, strategies and decision making.

Bryan is best with orc but also a strong rdm player from my memory? Anyway, I think he deserved to be in this list - at the very least in honorable mentions. The only reason he's not respected as much is probably because of his arrogant attitude, bad english and ladder activities instead of FML.

Tyrant is a top tier undead when he decides to compete. Right now I consider him the best undead in the league.

I would also consider placing junkerzam in honorable mentions as undead with the limited knowledge I have as a relative newcomer to the scene compared to the ancient players.

General Discussion / Re: Sympo Final S2!

Bad game by all players :icon_rolleyes:
Noé played smart, but had a horrible strategy for the early game. Airenikus could've killed him any time during first 20-30 mins, but he never attacked Noé all game for no reason.
Airenikus + cumulo played without brain.
Eshan got outclassed in first engagements with cumulo and never fully recovered from it.

I guess this game illustrates how sympo is just not taken seriously. Anyway gratz to Noé for winning and being the only consistent player throughout sympo league

Strategy / Re: More unpopular opinions
« on: October 06, 2017, 10:56:35 am »
Another unpopular opinion I have is that talons are the most underrated unit in ffa.

Most elves just use it for faerie fire addition to anti air, but really the potential of talons is high vs orc and undead especially.

Trunks even showed that you can make good use of faerie fire and cyclone vs human. He uses faerie fire on tanks, heroes etc. and focus single target with high dps combos (dh, naga, potm combo with mass range of hipporiders).  With a hipporider army composition and a few talons you can simply kite the human who relies on tanks to kill air (since gyros are bad).

You can also use 1 bear, mgs and talons / range in the back and just a few dryads to dispel heal wards and other stuff. Even switch back and forth between unit compositions to kill off your opponents who have lots of anti air that is useless vs a pure ground army etc. Or switch from pure ground to a hipporider army that eliminates mortars and anti caster units in one-shot bursts.

Cyclone is a great ability that is so rarely used because all elves use the chimera hippo combination. Ofc chippo is easy to use and good for players with not so strong micro, but I feel that the level of creativity/potential for elves isn't used to its fullest.

Another underrated thing is the scout potential of faerie fire if you don't have potm. A talon in crow form is way better at scouting than a hippo.

Credit to trunks/dovekie who show there are other ways to play elf.

I also believe that you can swap the naga with kotg and keep it standard with dh, kotg, potm with talons/mgs/dryads or hipporider combination, and still be able to deal with all races effectively.

Strategy / Re: More unpopular opinions
« on: October 05, 2017, 12:36:48 pm »
The reason why you think TC isn't top 3 hero is perhaps because all ffa players use air units and have learned to avoid stomp (except for imba blink dagger stomp usage).

Shadowhunter imo is the most crucial orc hero as it allows for several combining options with blade, tc and tavern heroes.

Heal wave is godlike, hex is great and the ultimate is also great...  SH is good in early, mid and late game.

SH provides so many options for hero combinations.
The synergy between for example:

Alchimist, TC, SH
Alchimist, Panda, SH
BM, Alchi, Sh etc. are also great.

Hell you could even substitute the alchimist/panda with a naga or fs if you wanted.

It would be fun to test hero combinations with sh without either TC or blade. I think u can come up with several good combos just because sh keeps it all alive and has hex to hero focus with.

I also think blade is extremely good as u point out, but no way near as good without SH. It's super hard to keep him alive without.

If you don't see the value in SH you should test his abilities in rdm heroes... It's like one of the top heroes I want to get with any race (with AM and panda ofc).
