hello all. quick show of hands. i thought it would be fun to do a bi-weekly FFA/FML talkshow. guests and stuff. reviewing previous week, plays of the week, league standings, and upcoming week. would be the second sunday of each playweek.
here is the format i would be stealing copying borrowing.
Will pay cold hard cash for someone to help with the graphical side of Twitch. I have neither the time, nor can my MSPaint skills sustain me any longer!
Season 18 was one for the record books! We had, by my count, the most solo prosus - WCR, Yaws and Ludix, and all did pretty well, with Ludix making the finals. WCR has the furthest to go in terms of being competitive at this level, as he is basically Renaud with micro at this point, but he shows promise. Yaws probably should be in the finals, but awful players enjoyed beating him up 2v1 and his gold management allowed it. Ludix is orc, so he will probably win the next 10 seasons.
We also had some k00l new blood. DV- is my favorite undead player in the league, and the fact that hes undead means that hes probably doomed to obscurity so here is his 15 minutes of fame. Ostone is a generic bat masser, but he wins so I guess I cant bash him too much. And Yane*, while not new, has made a nice return to the scene.
We also saw oh-so-many fan favorites/FFA lifers fall from grace to the Daselend-purgatory. Magadansky started the season with (2) last place finishes in the past 8 seasons. He finished with (5). Sadface. Humanstar also looks like hes down for the count. How the mighty have fallen. I feel like theres someone else. Maybe LW? Hes not even in the league. Bummer.
Edit: Also a big shout out to Worpex and Mage who keep the league alive, Renaud who (supposedly) does coding for the site, and PBM who occasionally does admin work.
Semifinals Predictions:
SF1 Mog[Skynet] Persuade TheGreatWall j33
Map: Harvest of Sorrows
Mog should probably pick Harvest, cause its a good elf map. Twilight is way too wide open, and he leaves himself open to being tanked by TGW (and Pers if he goes Hu). Speaking of which Pers will probably play Orc, but will lose. He should play undead. TGW is a pickle of a player - he sometimes seems epic, sometimes seems ridiculously pedestrian. Ironically he seems to win the worse he plays. Maybe he can drink some vodka with his commie friends and play poorly. People always play well in playoffs though, so he will lose.
Ultimately I think that it will come down to an elf vs elf showdown. Moogledansky vs. Bizarro Wrecktify. Unfortunatley J33 has good thunder on this map, as he won a finals here before. I be he will do the same.

SF2 Yane Ostone FML|Renaud Tyrant66
Map: Twisted Meadows or Silverpine
Yane should probably pick a smaller map that benefits aggressive play/creeping. He's definitely played well this season, and plays about 40 games a day on playffa, but will it be enough!? Whatever map he picks will be conducive to two fast 1v1s. Unfortunately he is undead, which stinks at finishing people off, so Renaud will probably finish off Tyrant before Yane can finish Ostone. Itll become a 2v1 vs Yane, and Ostone will backstab at just the right time leaving Renaud screaming "Mon dieu!" at his monitor. Ostone cleans up, and suddenlythe finals are looking very orky.

I originally thought Cheeron was some godlike pro, but I was mistaking him for myself. He broke my heart week 1, and I have not recovered since. LetShave has a stupid name - one that sounds like the name of a Disco song. He will lose as a result. LW will show up drunk, depressed, or not at all for this game, resulting in his loss. Thusly, and henceforth, I declare NoMercy2 (where is No Mercy 1 hmmmm?) the winner.

Will there be more wyrms built, or the word "Bro" used more in thsi game? Only time will tell. Renaud told me he can do prop bets, and I am of the opinion that we should be betting on the result of the above wager rather than the winner of this game.
F13 Noexx Delorex F10ex Re-Chavez
Worpex shows his noobness once again in these matchups. If Worpex was in this game, EVERY player's last syllable would be "Ex". Since its not, I can only assume Chavvy Chase will win.
F14 ZTsoso Flavus SteppinRazor Scrapper
Soso's name sets the bar relatively low, which I assume is a Danish cultural thing. I mean, were he 'murican, his name would be ZTAmazing, or ZTBadass. But ZTSoso is just so... soso. Scrapper played great last week, and I think he could win this one too. Flavus sounds like the German version of Flava Flav. Little does he know the click strikes midnight for him when he plays against SteppinRazor: ZadrotSlaya™.
F15 Worpex FML|Mage Wrecktify Yane
Yane will possess one of my wisps, leading to an in-base 3v1 with Yane dying and quitting FFA forever. Worpex will then, feelign immense guilt, enable a hack allowign him to build 200 Crypt Lords. He will flood my base with 1000 level 1 beetle whcih will prove ineffective at killing, but ultimately overheat and forceshutdown my computer. In final atonement worpex will unsummon his base, leaving Mage the winner.
MOTW!!!!!!!!!!!! Steppin always bets on me and he also scouts like (Oppan Zadrot Style) but I think he will pull it out in this match. Hes 0-1 in FML finals on this match, but 1mm-0 in my heart.
F3 F10ex NoMercy2 Kenostrikesback Flavus
Flavus uses my heros but he sucks. But as long as youre elf its basically a free win.
4Wack is the most practiced and most consistent of this lot. I think Yawns is supposed to be pro or somethign but he sucks major donkey balls in this league. Meeds is being listed as elf which is worpex being all defensive about putting 4 humans in one match. Hes good but I dont know how much hes been putting in training time. PSG -- random bot guy? 4Wack4TW!w
Qualifier 10 MattiasG Sniq Humans7ar Audigy
Without me in the game to suicide, or Maga in hte game for him to suicide for, Humie is in rare position to play for the win. He doesnt seem to be in particularly good shape, but hes pretty deadly on this map (Mr. 9-minute-Mass-TP). Audigy is a non threat with wagons on this narrow map, and Sniq probably wont show. Mattias is a wildcard - he seems to be learning on the fly. He could pull off an upset, but Humanstar always has his ace up his sleeve of stream hacking if need be.
In talking to Steppin he seems resigned to losing. In fact he almost wants to lose it seems. He also plans on playing Undead, which si a bad idea for at least 3 reasons (all of which would guarantee his loss.) Mix in that, much like Humie, LW has no one to go crazy on this game and I think LW/Wan will be impossible to compete with. And Vova might just suicide Steppin. And becasue there is SO MUCH going against Steppin he is CLEARLY the favorite, and I believe he will pull the PBM special here.
I dont really like the idea of FML without renaud, but the prince seems to be rather engorged on poutine and rusted like a railroad spike. Not sure he even has WC3 installed. I also think Goodbeast is such an unstable psycho nutjob freakshow it would almost be too much of a shame if he didnt qualify. Ebony-goddess is the wildcard here. Also Chainer might just suicide someone. Or something (as in suicide the middle creeps with 3 level1 heroes.)
