Eight months after the initial announcement of the WCA America Qualifier, we can finally confirm the information that you've all been waiting for. WCA partners with the brazilian company LNEe and Back2Warcraft to create the biggest event the forgotten continent has seen in years.
$13,900 and two tickets to the Grand Final on the line!
Only players from North-, Central- and South America are allowed in the competition, and all games will be played on W3Arena on US Hostbots
Eight players will qualify for the groupstage
4 players will be invited
4 players will go through a pre-qualifier on October 29th

Quarterfinals are best-of-three
Semifinalists will qualify for the groupstage

So a couple (by couple, I literally mean 2) of folks have asked if I ever plan to do any more Game Time episodes (for those not familiar, here's an example/ It's essentially just an informal interview with a player while we watch a replay of a game or do some AT. However I've always greatly enjoyed that format and had a lot of fun making them. I wanted to ask two questions to those that actually view the videos.
1) Are you interested in seeing/listening to more of these, or would you rather I focus on doing other things.
2) What three people would you most like me to do it with so you can learn more about them?

Hey all, I had planned to make something more formal and organized... but meh.
I'll be starting streaming around 11 EST/17 CET on Saturday, February 6th. I've got a number of casters lined up both new and old and we'll be switching them out throughout the day. I'd rather do live casts and will of course be looking for players to participate, all are welcome! Just hang out on the site and keep an eye out for game names. Not sure how long I'll go but I plan to make it a long cast.
As I'm sure you've noticed I really haven't been active for Season 21 at all, and unfortunately that's a trend that is going to continue as real life has become chaotic and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. Okay, let's be honest it's just work causing the problem, however after consulting my bank account I have confirmed that I am not in fact able to retire right now. Since that option has been taken off the board, I'm afraid it means that my time in WC3 has come to end.
While I would love to say that this is just a temporary hiatus, doing so would just be lying to myself. Going forward I realize that I'm not going to have any time for WC3 or video games in general which is why I wanted to let everyone know that I'll be retiring from my role on the FML team. I never thought that an online community for a video game could grow to mean so much to me, however this small little community has led me to meet a lot of great people, both online and in real life. I really do believe WC3 is a special game, and it will always continue to hold a nostalgic place in my heart.
I do plan to do one last cast in the upcoming weeks (most likely over the Thanksgiving break in the US) before turning that all over to someone else. I'll keep everyone posted on when I plan to do that.
Thank you to everyone who has made this such a special ride, I can't tell you all how much I've enjoyed my time both playing in FML, and then being an admin for it. It's truly a special community, and everyone who plays in it is what makes it such a great group. I think this season has proven that FML continues to be in great hands, and I look forward to watching it play out going forward.
With summer winding down and the kick of FFArena Season 1 it seems like the perfect time to stop the hiatus at FML and kick things back into gear! Hopefully you've already gotten good use out of your beach bodies because we fully plan to ruin them by plopping you in front of your computer for some FFA games. Applications open today, and will close on August 31st.
To apply, merely post your account name, nationality, WarCraft III race and any previous FFA or FML experience you have. This season we will be mixing things up to keep them interesting. there's been a lot of clamor for 6 player games and we're happy to announce that there will be a heavy emphasis on 6 player games this season! But of course we're not forgetting about our 4 player folks, those will be included as well of course. While we're not ready to give out all the details for this season yet, keep an eye on the page for more information.

Well folks, we're 2/3rds of the way through King of FFA! We've experienced some intense games so far, and a nice variety in the play styles as well as game sizes. We don't yet have all the results in, however we can see how the leaderboard is starting to shape up. Full results for Round 4 will be available below.
Round 5 is another 6 player round, as the final will be, and we've got a great selection of maps in store. You all know the drill for signing up by now, so get to it!
