I really enjoyed partecipating in this contest, and I'm also really happy that you enjoyed the map.
If there is anything bothering you/that you find poorly balanced, please do contact me either here or (better) at The Hive Workshop: https://www.hiveworkshop.com/members/arrr.246355/ The contest is over, but the map can be easily still be modified. 2

Love some drama from time to time.
Now, let me explain: modifying an already existing blizzard map is an easy task, that usually takes little time and not much effort; although the idea could make the map different and completely change the gameplay, because of it being something that can be easily done by anyone there can't be any attribution of credit for this kind of work. Taking inspiration from an existimg map can also be not acceptable for a contest, in the case in which the new map, instead of being a new work or rework made from some features of another map taken as inspiration, becomes just a freehand copy of the original. This being considered, note that although Mr.LighTs maps have been removed from the contest, an admin could consider in the future adding a map with the same features of one of his disqualified maps(the ones coming from a modified blizzard map), without any credit being due (to Mr.LighTs, the said ipothetical admin or any other who made such a map). All in all, after expressing my opinion, I think you two are taking this way too seriously, and should continue your discussion via PM, as this seems to have become something more personal than related to the contest, although I'll admit it is fun to read. (sorry for my english, if anything is unclear please ask) 3

Using a picture will set it to non melee. Melee is just a WE and W3 classification, the map can play exactly normal(melee) without being classified as such (all w3arena maps are not considered melee for example). So as long as you do not change important gameplaywise setting, you're fine. 4

News / Re: Build A World Map Making Contest!« on: January 16, 2017, 03:40:54 pm »yes i did it! Nice map I noticed that you used a lot of small doodads that have pathing, they feel quite annoying to manouver around sometimes Also noticed, there is a broken ramp in the south east Last thing, you may want to check the natural expansions. The treeline is way too thin and creeps aggro from beyond the trees. 7
News / Re: Build A World Map Making Contest!« on: January 16, 2017, 03:36:56 pm »Is it a good idea to have all kinds of items, of different levels so that the use of the Market Place is not too imbalanced? you know, being able to buy the aura items, or lvl 4,5 items frequently. Usually a map has all kinds of items anyway, I doubt there would be a sudden jump from lv3 to lv5-6 items. The problem with the marketplace are mainly charged items (especially lv5+), as they can be rebought over and over. Permanent items that are good lategame are auras, that are a 1 time buy, and hero/situation specific items (eg rune bracers vs ud). 8
News / Re: Build A World Map Making Contest!« on: January 16, 2017, 12:32:41 pm »I have a question regarding the items for different levels. They are on the same level for every map scenario. The thing that changes the item tier is the patch the editor considers within the editor. Go to scenario > map settings(or options, don't know how it is translated) > at the bottom of the window there is a game data thing, setting it to "Assault - Last patch" will make item tiers to show properly. 9
