Alright. We just had our first case of COVID-19 confirmed at the mines tonight. It's pretty much the end of the world right now so no matter what I'm in trouble. This list of availability is subject to change, if I can't make it I'll forfeit this round, that's all.
1) Thursday April 02, from 11:00 ADT to 15:00 ADT, or 20:00 ADT for the whole night 2) Friday April 03, from 00:00 to 08:00 ADT, or 16:00 ADT for the whole night 3) Saturday April 04 & Sunday April 05, either at 11:00 ADT or start MAX at 11:30 ADT, or from 16:00 ADT to 21:00 ADT, but I got to leave at 21:00 ADT. We COULD MAYBE play that night but that's very late in Europe There would be possibilities to play Marc 31, Wednesday April 01 from 16:00 to 21:00 but expect an early surrender. Long short, this schedule implied I was working from 22:00 to 10:00 every day. But now with that confirmed cased, they're asking us for more hours; we literally got asked to work 96 hours each this week. This will NOT happen but no one knows how we can manage the schedule around this. I wish I could give better times but that's all the information I have. Don't work your schedule around me if you can't, I'll take the blame for this one. 3

Hi. I'll be able to schedule in the next few days, I haven't got news from work and we just had our first caase of Covid-19 on the islands. It changes everything where I live as, well, on an island, if one has it most likely everyone will get it. I don't know about my work and decisions will be made soon. Will keep you updated.

I vote for Twilight. I'm Atlantic Time, and know I can't play in the afternoon of 19-19-20 of March, but else than that I should be able to adapt. Would be really happy to play sooner than later, or at least schedule a game, in case I have last minute calls for work and need to postpone the game. For instance I should be free this whole week except friday. Wishing best of luck to everyone!

General Discussion / Re: Looking for the old Protocol guide, is it anywhere to be found?« on: April 06, 2016, 03:12:35 pm »Quote The general strategy was harass, play your own game, annoy, tower, expo, create all sort of chaos. What often boiled down to was a couple players dying early and them harassing people with blade masters and bats, while the last player on team Proto had like 7/6/6 DK/Lich/DL and would demolish people with super tier 3 Undead army. And that is why I don't think it would work versus good FFA players, especially those of today. Undead was considered stronger back then, now we can all counter that with one hand behind our backs. There's an argument to be made, I'll give you that. However the problem with this kind of statement (quote: the team who plays as a team will win) is that it hasn't been proved yet. I could see why they would win, but it's a would, it hasn't happened yet, and isn't borderline close to happen either with a dead scene. I can only base myself on the previous, factual proto domination and its application in the current ladder. Will you tell me, the current players on the ladder aren't skilled FFA players I'll agree, but I have to work with that I have, and can't theorize too much. It's a thing to have a weakness, but if no one can exploit it, you're most likely going to win anyway. That being said, I'm only looking for the written guide and didn't want to create a debate, especially a theoretical one. I'm still pleased to read your opinion tho :) 8

Ouch, I wouldn't say that. I mean, the protocol was written by FFA players to adapt an FFA strategy to 4s. I'm not saying it can't be beaten, but it wasn't written up so that it would get crushed by initiated FFA players. Most likely, the meta could evolve pass the protocol, but it was the master of all meta back in the best, most competitive 4s days. I agree it could have evolved, but it didn't.
And that meta included a lot of FFA players, playing with or without the protocol. 9

Was it ProtonxX himself who wrote the Protocol guide? Or maybe was it Hydro?

If you can convince the old P4K team to form back, I'll join :)

Hey there,
Back in the day, there was on the Clan Lone website a series of guides to download. Among the different FFA bibles that were most likely improved over the years and rewritten on this website, existed a decent 4s guide called the Protocol. The 4s tournament scene has died, but for nostalgia purposes, I would appreciate to read it again. I'm quite sure many of you know what I'm talking about. I would appreciate to have a link for that PDF (or was it even a Word document?). Thanks for the help!
