Becoming new season FML - admins changed all basic old rules and now we just have another one TBR ...
Players wake up and said here : WHO WANT BACK CLASSIC FML AND WHO AGREE WITH NEW TBR !

i'm probably skipping fml 27 too. the format is just not giving me any incentive to play. good luck to all the participants.

Although I like the creativity and innovation from the admin team, I muat say that this concept feels really alien to what FFA is about.
Also, I don't think more than 1-2 teams will apply, compared to approximately 30-40 players in a standard format.
I will sit this season out, but in case you change your mind, I'll sign up.

admins plz make a normal FML.so FFA is dying ,and you got to kill him!there is no incentive to play in this format, joey is right!

I think you guys are overreacting. This season may be similar to TBR in the "team" sense, but it's still individual enough to fall under a standard FML season, at least to me. Unlike TBR, there will be a grand final among the leading team, so at least the spirit of a normal FFA grand final remains the same. Also, for those of you thinking "the leadind team will jus get suicided" makes as much sense as the following ideas: one race beibg teamed by 3 players of same race (e.g. 1 hum vs 3 orcs); the leading player in the standings being suicided in rounds 3 or 4 (e.g. Noex in the past seasons was in the top and he didnt get heavily teamed from the start of the game). If you play for win and you and your team manage to win most of your ganes then you should be in grand finals the same way Noex managed to reach grand finals in the past seasons, by constantly winning. Now, if you jus lose all your games and other members of your team just qin 1 or 2 games, why should your team advance to grand finals?.
The format is fine, at least is nice to see something different every 5 seasons. Maga was a genius in this regard; in fact, I think I finally understand what his whale picture meant "this whale is awesome and you are not". Anyway, just form your teams and sign up, you guys can probably find decent players to make this season as close as the last TBR.

The last classic FML season we had was S25... soo literally last season. It wasn't a very exciting season, there wasn't much community interest in it and the activity level plummeted. TBR2 on the other hand, was extremely popular and brought back much needed life into the scene.
Because S25 was largely a snoozefest and resulted in a dying community, we decided to make a season which mixed the best aspects of both.
I'm a little disappointed with the reactions of the community. FML is well known for having wonky seasons and we haven't had one in quite some time. Almost every season we hold that is unique, it ends up being one of the most popular ones.
With that in mind, just give the season a chance. If you don't want to participate, thats fine, but keep your negativity off the forums please!

Rational people wouldn't think that but if you watch CNN msnbc ABC CBS or any other left wing media you're not rational.

You just fear to appear weak by being wrong in a discussion with ena who seems to have a strong point about your league design here. Not only that, I would beat anyone in the admin team in 1on1 which is the key issue here. You fear me ingame. Prove me wrong and 1on1 me.

Why would you expect admins to change anything when it was you who made the polll. This season will incorporate the concept of teams, but not all of it will be like TBR. The only inconvinience is that we may have very few teams signed up; I'm thinking maybe 5 tops.

Maybe you should have had a 3rd option: individual league with team aspects, since that's what this format is.
Also, you saying you can beat anyone in the admin team in 1v1 literally means nothing since this is a ffa league, and many admins have better ffa results than you.
Also, as I already told you on discord, and worpex told you here, your strawpoll wasn't going to change anything, and you continuing to push it and post it everywhere you can just shows blatant disrespect for the admin team (which isn't new for you, having shown no regard for league rules on the past).
If you are so desperate to play a normal ffa league, go make one yourself. Or, since you are so prone to tell everyone on a ffa forum how great you are in a different gametype, go play that gametype. Or, if you want to enjoy the league the admin team commits much of their personal time providing for you, then do so. But as worpex has already said once here, kindly leave your negativity off the forum. Or move on.

@cumulo: It was tomtoast who asked me to create a poll. It is not solely me who has the desire for a classic, individual focussed FML. It is just me who raises his voice loud enough to at least create some attention for the existing issues in our league design!

Even if this format isn't preferred by the majority, it's for one season. And FML has been around far longer then anyone still playing today giving us season after season of FFA league.
I think it's best to show appreciation and be grateful for we still have after so many years.

Of course we appreciate and are grateful for the existence of FML and work provided by FML. This is why we raise our voice so loudly, to express our strong identification with what the FML is about. We all identify with the idea of FML and we don't want a change which makes no sense. We want the best FML possible so that this league stays awesome. As it used to be. That is only possible through the Admins but also through MOTIVATED players.
WHY team elements in normal FML are BAD:
- team pressure cuts creativity of individual players
- team pressure cuts autonomy of individual players
Why?
- the individual player has to fulfill requirements of a team. He HAS to "care" for his team. That has influence on the behavior of the individual player within the whole league.
Why is only individual competition better?
- because players don't have to "give a fuck" about anyone
- players can stay the same badasses with their individual character traits and styles
The team idea in FML disturbs players who created their own reputation and style through many seasons in the recent years. Yet some players might enjoy the socializing facets of team elements, most of us do not want them. Period, truth, fact.

I was also upset at first when i read the team ffa announcement, but i've come to be excited about it
The admins have changed the format to make it an individual season with a 25% team aspect. Thats not a big deal, its an interesting experiment. Ena i hope you give it a try and play, because they fixed it from the original announcement. Now its all individual rankings with a 25% team point bonus. And then the finals are still all individual, so the champion who is crowned will be legitimate.
It will be interesting to see the strategies that evolve during the season with this experiment. And hopefully next season we can play pure classic FML. Come play!

And i understand ur point ena, about having to "care" for ur team now. They will be upset if u lose or if u troll or if u suicide. But its only 25% team bonus so who cares. If u win even 1 game they will be happy
