Hey all,
As I'm sure you've noticed I really haven't been active for Season 21 at all, and unfortunately that's a trend that is going to continue as real life has become chaotic and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. Okay, let's be honest it's just work causing the problem, however after consulting my bank account I have confirmed that I am not in fact able to retire right now. Since that option has been taken off the board, I'm afraid it means that my time in WC3 has come to end.
While I would love to say that this is just a temporary hiatus, doing so would just be lying to myself. Going forward I realize that I'm not going to have any time for WC3 or video games in general which is why I wanted to let everyone know that I'll be retiring from my role on the FML team. I never thought that an online community for a video game could grow to mean so much to me, however this small little community has led me to meet a lot of great people, both online and in real life. I really do believe WC3 is a special game, and it will always continue to hold a nostalgic place in my heart.
I do plan to do one last cast in the upcoming weeks (most likely over the Thanksgiving break in the US) before turning that all over to someone else. I'll keep everyone posted on when I plan to do that.
Thank you to everyone who has made this such a special ride, I can't tell you all how much I've enjoyed my time both playing in FML, and then being an admin for it. It's truly a special community, and everyone who plays in it is what makes it such a great group. I think this season has proven that FML continues to be in great hands, and I look forward to watching it play out going forward.

Let me know when you want to cast something, I'd love to do one final one with you since we never really got the chance.
As a tribute, we should collect all of the youtube videos you did and archive them!

Can't you guys reach out the old schoolers (yane, htrt, wreck etc) and create one last game that you and mog cast? Seksi,you should play that one

MAGE YOU BECAME A LEGEND FOR ME IN YOUR CASTS WITH PUREBE! FML was a great time and we will remember you. We had everything a good relationship needs, wins, losses, drama... a lot drama :D. I know how u feel and i wish you everything good for the future. Your destiny is the same as Ugris. Guys getting old and family/work becomes the priority of life. See you in Warcraft 4!

FML couldn't have gotten anywhere near to where it is without Mage. His input in shoutcasting alone deserves an award but that doesn't even scratch the surface of how much he has done for us. From running the league bots, social media accounts and being an incredible player manager, I couldn't have asked for a better admin to stand by our side! Hope you enjoy life after FFA but don't forget us!

Goodbye Mage,
It is a big blow to FFA and us (the community) when you are not around. Your initiative to stream and commentate has created an interest in the game that cannot be compared. You have given the community so much, and speaking from a personal level, it has always been a pleasure to talk with you and cast with you. I may start commentating a few games in your spirit in the future, but if I have to be completely honest, I stopped myself every time because I still enjoy the gaming aspect with the guys in the community a lot, and don't think I can do both as it is demanding (energy and time wise).
We are all getting older and time forces us to think about how we best make use of our time. I wish you the best of luck in your personal life and hope we can stay in touch.

I'm obviously very late with this, but I had to write something to my casting buddy.
Mage, apart from winning a season of fml, casting with you was the most enjoyable experience in wc3 for me. I really love the game, spent almost half my life playing it, and casting was an awesome way for me to stay involved in the scene I loved. There were many memorable experience s, and I hope one day in the future to receive a random text from you telling me to log on skype, load up wc3, and do one last cast for old time's sake. And until that day comes, I wish you all the best my friend.

Thanks for all the well wishes, I do greatly appreciate it. Just as a heads up, I believe that I'll be doing my official final commentary on Saturday, February 6th. As the date gets closer I'll see about lining up some games and seeing if I can't get some special guests for both casting and playing.

W00T! Thank you mage. You always brought to your casts people of high caliber like Wrecktify, Mog, Persuade, these three in particular I consider them to be old school pros since I learned a lot from their commentaries and decisions making during the game. And now I may have the chance to contribute in some way to the FFA community in an shoutcast :D.
I do have you on skype so we can coordinate on the time :), I assume is all I'll be needing.
