Assume all are highest level, no ultimates. Explain your reasoning below.

Bof hurts a lot by itself, hits everything from building to unit to mech to heroes, crazy damage amplified by haze.
silence is annoying but can be dispelled by most races

Btw auras are no spells, and you can not really compare them. Best spell: healwave 3 (basically a scroll of healing for 90 mana)

I choose Silence.
My reasoning is the versatility it offers. Not only does it have a ridiculously large AoE and last an absurd amount of time, but it can turn the tide of a battle by itself.
It's downright godly in hero arena, it stops channeling spells, it's also cheap and spammable.

All bof does is damage, and it is the best damage spell in the game.
However, what does an orc do if you land a perfect silence on all casters and heroes? Nothing. What does Hu do if you land it on casters and heroes? Nothing. What does Nelf do? It works on wisps, so the only counter is dryad, which dies in 1 second and barely anyone uses anyways. Undead has the only clear advantage dealing with silence, which also requires a bit of micro with the destroyer. Those 2-3 seconds of no nuking can allow a good engagement and preparation against an undead though. Still clearly a favorite. Also keep in mind once you hit 6... Charm the destroyer and no way to dispel. Or what if orc gets DR? Use bats only on destroyers, silence army. Can't do anything.
Silence is clearly the winner.

I voted Silence because of Persuade's persuasive arguments. But jokes aside, I would have voted Silence anyway; it is the ideal FFA spell.

Owl Scout. Whats the most important thing in FFA? Scouting. Thus, a spell that gives you an invulnerable owl which flies, gives a huge vision radius and lasts for a long ass time is pretty much the greatest spell ever. Damage spells and silence may win you battles, but knowing what your opponent is going to do at all times will win you the war.

because on top of seeing all the map, your enemy is not aware of you spying him!

owl follows you everywhere not farsight

Silence
Advantages:
- Insane area
- Super low mana cost (and DR doesn't use anything else for mana besides Charm)
- Long range
- Long duration, short cooldown
Disadvantages:
- Dispellable
- Fairly useless until your DR hits level 5
Why isn't war stomp up there? That's a close #2

yes you can see the bm and the wards! :D :D
