Well its mathematically impossible if you calculate the possibilities:

Interesting results, definitely didnt expect to be in the top 3 cause I kenw i played relatively few games. But wow 44% wins rocks. I blame Worpex for not IMing me about S10. That gave us the false champion HTRT and my lower point total. JERKPEX MORE LIKE IT.

well it wasnt impossible, maga/wreck were guarnateed 1,2. Could have technically looked up every result as well. Persuade at 3 pretty much ruined everything for every1, so good job to persuade.

It was difficult but I wouldn't say impossible. I gave a ton of hints and for the most part everyone knew the general area where every player was. Almost everyone had the correct players for 3rd to 5th but had the order wrong.
I think the most impressive thing about these stats is Magadansky with only 2 4th place finishes in official games out of 44 total games. Thats insane.

Tough but not impossible, a few more hints at more timely times could have made it easier. Fun though and awesome work!
Also maga can borrow some of my 4th place finishes if he'd like.

@DV - If you judge by FML stats alone, I would argue a case for the third best stats with the third highest win% (at 39%). Persuade and Renaud have more overall points, but also more games played and a lower win % (Persuade 32%, Renaud 33%).
Even so, only so much can be determined by FML games/stats as Ladder FFA is the other half of the equation. FML and Ladder emphasize different skills in general - the best players will be good at both - but some prefer/excel in one or the other.
I think you can place a number of names in the top tier class - each with their own strengths and weaknesses - many able to claim an argument for the best

(Battle.suck, Under.Sta, the solo pros (RSM, Rain, Starshaped, Rain, Yaws, Wan, Ludix).. the FFA vets (Slythe, Ntropy, Darkermirror, Eshan).. even the tried and true (Mog, Audigy, Sparkle) + some others I can't think of. This list is pretty solid though, thoughts?

Hey Rice is not in ur list? He's one of the best ffa orc players ever, and an inspiring person for all who tried to learn ffa.

Rice and Darkness revolutionized orc in ffa. Rice was one of the first guys to climb the mount everest. His fs plays and bm on chosen maps was brilliant. Darkness inspired people to play dr with orc and he did it near perfection. A combination of Rice game sense and Darkness micro would have won at least 5 fml titles.

I think we should make a Hall of Fame like in sports, others could get in for contributions to FFA scene as well (like how some Broadcasters etc get inducted for impact on the sport). WorpeX for example would be in the Hall of Fame, Mage, Pinball etc. too

What about GrandBulp aka Tchaou-Tchaou or something like that. Anyone remember him? He used to own back in the day, he used fiends with crazy micro before even solo players were using fiends and all undeads went gargs or necrowagon only. Help me out.

Can I pretend I'm #21 on Seksi's list? I mean I got put in the old school category and I've only played fml since like... season 13? maybe even season 14? I dunno but I got put in the same category as Audigy and Sparkle lol
Oh well, moral of the story there are a LOT of talented and unique FFA players who have all added something to the game. Respect!

I guess I hi-jacked the thread. The list I'm referencing is ALL-TIME, not just seasons 10-17.
Yea Mog - I Would say you are one of the most improved players, now you have to be considered a threat in any game you play.

I *think* Marn was just a preteamer that would always talk in caps, and was eventually sent to jail for "kidnapping" a young girl via wow.
Then against I never played against him, and most of my knowledge comes from the Lone website who had reasons to hate him, so the pre-teaming part might have been a bit exargerated.

Wasnt he also the leader of clan lone? I also do not recall any games of him, he must have been active in the very early stage of wc3 ffa.

No he was the leader of clan Hero
And looking at the Lone history book, it looks like he had Rank 1 in all 4 realm at some point
Edit: actually the leader of clan TOP that was renamed Hero and then Bane? Something like that~
Edit 2: Created TOP, renamed it Hero, then it split into two, Bane led by Marn, and Lone led by X[hunters]

Renaud speaks the truth on all of the above. We got legit major news source (not The Onion) to corroborate Marn was in fact in jail for solicitation of a minor.
Ironically in the grand scheme of things Goodbeast reminds me most of Marn. Not in the kidnapping thing but in play/demeanor.

he hit rank 1 on all realms because he had 30 clan mates search same time as him and they all boosted each other

I remember the history being a fun read, although it was written by a self proclaimed heavy drinker who later faked his own death, so it might not be 100% accurate :P
Also contains the old ffa guides including two by the ebony goddess ;)
edit: bwhahahaha these old guide are funny, I understand patches might have changed stuff, but saying Panda is only good if you have problem in air battle, and only as a 2nd or 3rd hero sounds redic :D (writer was an elf player)

WEll I enjoyed that. A lot of those points still apply today and some are off but still a good read. Makes me wish we were back in those times with a competitive BNet ladder and meaningful levels against the old school originators
