Obs Bug (related to DV's game)
« on: July 20, 2014, 09:44:23 am »
friendly advise for obsbug

it is easy to detect. it does not hit randomly.

start a game with an obs, have the obs leave, see what happens :
1- nothing happens, just play
2- a player disks : this player will disk EVERYTIME that an obs leaves. It means that :

A - dont allow obs then
B - dont finish off some guy building so he obs

Wait ? What do you mean when you say it is not random ? You mean that if I disk when an obs leaves it means I will disk EVERYTIME in any game when an obs leave ?

The problem is there are numerous observers, the games almost full everytime. SO we have 8 different player to test with, also when we do a rehost there are some new obs again. But thanks for the information Ugri.

Wait ? In my understanding, you only need to test with the players playing, not the obs, so only 4 players to test with ?

The observer who leaves causes the bug and will probably drop a player by that.

No i meant 4 players and a couple of obs and have on obs leaving.

If one players disk then you cant have obs.

Last time i had hayder lagging out as obs and took a player with him. Because even if they dont intend to leave, they might disk or crash for the same result
