Re: Communication Pause
If we ever find that this rule is being abused or makes the game frustrating to watch/play, we will consider banning it. We are discussing banning this for Season 25 but don't want to change/add new rules during the middle of an event (team battle royale). Anyone saying this is a rule change is absolutely being ridiculous. Someone had pause-maniped in a battle royale game earlier which caused a bit of a commotion. We wanted to clarify what the league's stance is on this behavior. Right now, it is allowed. As I said before, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. This is a clarification post. Congratulations to Team Ravenclaw and Mog[Skynet] for leading their team to victory!!! This really was an amazing event and incredibly unique. I loved the team based culture that we had an the anonymous names were actually a lot of fun! Definitely want to see it happen again! Need a break from it for sure, as fun as it was, it was also fairly exhausting for the admin team and the team captains. To Season 25!! I do need to correct one thing because thats what I do, this was actually the second FML team based event... but this was the first successful one! @4K.Grybby Don't quote me on this cause I was not part of the admin discussions on this since I was part of the event. However, from what I've researched every team had at least 1 player that didn't play 2 games. Uther for Ravenclaw, Suitron for Mozarts and Mr.Sweets for Ponty. From rough calculations, -1 penalty point for each offense wouldn't have changed the results. Also, I fully believe that every team tried their hardest to get these players to play. I was extremely impressed with how well each team cooperated with the rules (which were flimsy since we never did this event before). Every player had their chance to play if they wanted it and for the most part each team got a long with each other well. Huge credit needs to be given to all the team captains. @qwest Because the Rule Adjustments post that I linked you was the announcement right before the S25 applications thread. You saw the application thread so we can expect you to see the post which preceded it as well. @Slythe Thank you for understanding and you're right that we are debating just giving a second warning (since its a new rule, shave gave the first) or giving penalty points.
