As I'm sure everyone who checks this site has noticed, we wrapped up Season 17 this week in grand fashion! In an epic 4 hour game, :Finland: :ne: J33 managed to prevail in the closest of fashions and take home his first ever FFA Masters League Championship. This marks the third time an Elf has won the championship, the second time a Fin has, and the first time a Finish Elf has! Making it all the more impressive was the fact that the game ended at 7AM CET, leaving J33 playing well into the early morning.
I gave our newest champ a few days to re-cooperate before I tracked him down for a champion's interview. Not only is he a great FFA player, but a delightful person talk to. I've included a brief excerpt from the interview below, but you can check out the entire interview here (http://ffamasters.net/index.php?topic=1513)
J33: Well I am 24 years old and I live in Finland. I study math for 4th year now. I live with my girlfriend and my pet snake. Not much more to say.
Mage: I can safely say you are the first person I've interviewed with a pet snake!
What's your snake's name?
J33: I was afraid u would ask this. He or she doesnt have a name. Couldnt come up with a good name 10 years ago. So he/she is nameless
Again, the full interview can be found here (http://ffamasters.net/index.php?topic=1513)
In addition, we also had our second FML bets winner. As much as it pains me to say so, :France: :hu: Meeds, managed to tally almost double what I did when I won FML Bets Season 1. Finishing with 1261 coins Meeds came from behind to sneak out a victory in the second season of FML bets, as well as making the semi-finals in his first season. So, a big congratulations to :France: :hu: Meeds!
Moving forward, we the admin team are very much looking forward to Season 18 of the FFA Masters League. I think we've got some good new ideas, some innovative ideas, and most importantly a great player base! Starting it all off, we have the Bah Humbug (http://ffamasters.net/index.php?topic=1509) Tournament on Sunday December 22nd. We only have a few spots left so if you're interested then register today.
Stay tuned for future announcements, and a once again a big congratulations to;
