General Discussion / Re: Races« on: April 14, 2012, 02:14:45 pm »
Nice post. I generally agree with your scoring and the results are near perfect.
Orc > Human > Elf > Undead 68 > 67 > 65 > 62 Orc and Human are nearly tied for 1st with only the slightest edge towards Orc. Elf is not too far behind and Undead, while last, is only 6 points behind first place reinforcing the idea that all races can do well in FFA. This also concludes that Orc and Human are indeed the two strongest races. 587

Starting at 1,000 posts you are rewarded with a Legendary Hero and continuing every 500 posts until TC @ 2,500. I believe these increments of 500 are not only substantial enough to be meaningful, but also not too burdensome to keep people interested in staying active on the forums with an added incentive of improving one's rank.
Any players that reach the 1,000 milestone should be recognized and what better way then as a Legendary Hero. Once here, players can enjoy the notoriety of forum contribution while still having attainable goals set in increments of 500. While most players will fall in the <1000 category, a small few will be donned Legendary forum posters and rewarded with a Hero representative of the feat. One day we may see the most dedicated, passionate forum goers approach the upper tiers of Legendary Heroes and still have a long ways to go to attain the most prestigious of titles. These titles bear ultimate supremacy and respect and will be held by only those worthy of such recognition. At 5,000, 10,000, and 20,000 posts, near impossible goals are on the horizon for those who seek them. 588

This is not good news. Ugri is liked and appreciated by everyone. Any bad eggs shouldn't spoil it for everyone. I understand your sentiment but I am sure many of us would continue to support FML in a positive way for future seasons. If you need other help I am also sure people would be able to lend a hand. The vast majority of us all respect FML and the admins and greatly appreciate the time required and spent to provide such a service.
With WC3 all but dead, the FFA scene and community is thriving again with old and new faces thanks to FML and ffareplays. I believe that the number of great guys (and gals?) that make up the community far outweigh a couple of rotten apples. We all share a love deep down for FFA, I hope we can keep it going and not let it fade away into the future... I for one am very grateful and hope for the return of both Ugri and more FML seasons. Anything that we, being the players, can do to help ensure this I am confident we are willing to do. PS. Ugri had a very nice game tonight and seemed like he had a lot of fun doing so. It was cool to see and just goes to show that while numerous bad games and acts can spoil FFA for a time, even a single fun game can reinvigorate interest :D 590

I was running my army around the whole map after losing main and I lost heroes and units to both of the elves while doing so, only thing left was those gargoyles. Once I ran into the third player (you) and had my gargs hazed with hippos following they were as good as dead. I didn't purposely feed them whatsoever, honestly, I really think the admins should realize this or ask the other players in my game and take away the docked points.

worpex any word on:
"um why did I get -5 points? I didn't feed on purpose. Watch the replay. I was running my army around and each player got a chunk of it. The last hippos were the last of my army and he had panda haze on them, they weren't getting away. I should have 11 + 10 = 21. " 594

this comment makes zero sense. I wanted to observe, obviously. I had a huge chance of winning from the start. In fact, I nearly had top score after only playing half of the game and still ended with 2nd despite being the first one out. Not sure why one would hope for a D/C.

EM6
Walking.TrL SicKTheGreat Redz7z JineiUdou Season 10's most improved player and a good guy =D. Still interested in seeing Jinei's progress in FFA. EM7 Renaud Redkeekee SeksiReturns practicemage !_! EM8 WRECKTIFY Beljone Kajetan paterique Although if Sparkle is gets going without much pressure early his army will be strong, especially versus Human or Undead. EM9 PLZLEAVEDUCK ATi.Bright Rygorych Persuade I'd like to go old school with LouisArmstrong, however he plays SC2 and in the one game of WC3 I played against him recently he was out of sorts. Persuade seems like a cerebral player with an open mind to FFA unlike another certain solo player who thinks he is the best... EM10 L77 ReFlekKt SteppinRazor Nooblex This could be a great underdog win showing skills that have been dormant of late! Confidence is key my friend. Nooblex is not an elite micro player and L77 is tricky... use this to your advantage and apply pressure whichever way you go. Don't let it be a macro type game for it would be to your disadvantage (especially being Undead) --- WM8 3wD.SimO Uzi-Madone Pinballmap Kruppe The almighty Kruppe... the new admin of FML... the guy I do not know... aaah well, I have to go with some of the favorites. WM9 DkH.Starshaped Ghost-Burne bRyAnIsBack UnholydreadlorD I believe Starshaped has learned some valuable lessons in his time so far in FFA and will use this at his disposal to not let bRyAn hoard and tome off lesser skilled players. WM10 DkH.Rain crowjam mmmmmmmmmmmmmk Daselend The Blademaster takes a vow of silence. WM11 Q-veta Maddog ntropy w8man Wait man, ntropy vs Q-veta?? WM12 Lightweight gnom Camp_and_Spank darkermirror Rooting for darker. A good player yet hasn't broken out into a top one... here's a nice opportunity for him. WM13 XZshka QHKane Humans7ar Johny.Boy I love playing versus Humans7ar. Underrated :D. XZ and Johny also are good contenders. I don't know much about QHK. WM14 grimfoLf F10EX Slythe lovetrance Nice game. Slythe is creative. Crucible is a creative map. :) |
