To let me sum this up: Ping-wise, it makes absolutely no difference whether you join a game from Bnet or w3arena, if it's the same bot. The ping that is shown in the game lobby is not reflecting the true ping.
Of course it would be nice to have the same patch version on both realms, but please keep in mind that Blizzard implemented an entirely new patching structure with 1.28. From what I know, it's not easily possible to transition a custom realm like w3arena. Maybe we will see some updates or an entirely new realm in the near future, but for now, w3arena (apart from some downtime) is a good place to gather the community. Good ladder performance, public host bots, admin support, etc.
However, I agree with Mog that forcing w3arena may be the only way to reduce desyncs. Crossrealm is without doubt the #1 cause of that, particularly since the 1.28 patch.
We put some thoughts into the lineup and think it's well rounded. I think Gradi has played himself into the heart of many people and deserved to get a slot here, even if there'd been many others with more skill and titles. This match is for entertainment purposes only and the most entertaining (right after high skill FML 4-ways), is a chaotic 8-way where Gradi manages to survive somehow.
Hey LssL, your team would be pleased if you could show up in the discord team channel like every one or two days at least. We need a minimum of communication especially regarding map decision and scheduling.
Also, no pause manip in your future matches please. Chatting about the match during pause will lead to penalty points for our team.
I think the entire game would be way more balanced already if you fix tanks (more xp and supply) and BM crit (no stacking with claws).
There are other things that I think might be overpowered, like Warden blink, masonry, defend footmen, stomp or underpowered like necros, UD goldmine or firelord. I just think it's difficult to "balance" stuff across all game modes.

I'm really looking forward to this match. Jaod slowly getting back in shape and Peanut probably the favorite here, despite the map not favoring human. Life is still a bit of a secret to me. Not talking much and playing few matches only. On the previous Gold Rush match he played poorly after a decent creeping.
Wreck and Cumulo are the clear favorites here. I think the map is so overloaded with creeps, that it can become a burden for players that don't know it inside out. It was the map on which Wreck secured his fourth FML title and Cumulo created it. LssL might be able to compete, if he changes to usual human FFA style. His micro is alright. So is Toms, who has proven he can win, if he doesn't fall into troll mode.
Great map and great line up. I feel players often let Trunks creep DH to level 6 here too easily (he always finds tome of power). If no player fails to scout and Slythe isn't suicidal, everyone can win this, else it'll be Trunks. I hope for a long match though and cheer for Airenikus of course.
This will become a hoarding fest most likely. I expect Aarni to call out Renaud and QQs for hoarding and Dinamo being the silent pinball who will accidentally suicide another player to death. I cheer for Aarni, but hope he will come to his sense again and play nightelf.

Strong cast on a rather unpredictable map. I would love to see a good player subbing for Ludakata (b100 please!) to make this even more interesting. Mog seems to be in great shape and probably the most reliable bet here. Godlike Noe not playing much these days and always at risk of being teamed for name, which can be really painful on this map.
Oh dear. I already see Eshan and Alien raging in front of their screens and Iwantwc4 laughing his ass off. If no one suicides in this game, it will come down to a 3-way between Alien, Eshan and Joggel, I guess. The latter will need to step up his ffa sense in order to not be tooled around. I'll bet on Alien if he manages to stay calm and continues mannered chat in the late game.
I think this match will be all about spawn positions and who manages to tome Gradi and Betoon the most. I agree with Mog that it can be a potentially good map for Gradi to rebuild, but I doubt he will be able to do so vs Shave and Tyrant. Although Shave claimed that he always suicides Tyrant, I don't believe he will do so with this line up.
Difficult line up. Junker seems to be in good shape and should be the clear favorite here. Still, if this match remains a 4-way for some time and all players have gold, I think it may become dirty and a pain. Supremo tunnelvisioning as always and Fetta having a lovely chat with Ponty for two hours.
Amazing read, especially for someone like me who missed "the old times". Thanks Seksi. I would love to see you adding legends with special play style (even if they were not on the highest level), like Gradi today.
