This season, we received so many smurfed applications that I thought I'd write a little about it. Not mocking anyone here, just having fun with this habbit  :icon_lol:

The most famous : MightyMurrock

This was the buzz of S10 : who is MightyMurrock  :icon_question:

Rumored to be Wrectify by Eshan, his temper linked to his skilled human play made everyone think he was indeed the double FML champion.

Comparing ip/email information, it was revealed he was indeed Mysticalsmurf, player I didnt know about in the first place but you could see him obsing a lot of previous FML games or finals. He is a pro canadian solo player, a good friend of htrt.

Now is the 1000$ question : why did he smurfed? No idea.

1- Smurfing because I'm trolling

If we dont know yet why Murrock smurfed in S10, his huge trolling made him apply in season 11 under 2 differents identities, one being a girl named Tina who could play whenever "depending on her boyfriend"  :icon_lol: .

2- Smurfing to get a fresh start

Steppinrazor applied under a swedish identity "Stiletto" but didnt want to bother to create a new fake email and just posted his application on the website. Still, he had the same ip  :icon_razz:

3- Smurfing because players will suicide me

Ebo was explaining on a ffareplays thread he wouldnt apply because of the risk of being suicided yet applying under rygorych. We would have not detected him if he didnt revealed himself, changing his mind. It's safe to say not many people hate him and we wish him good luck in the league.

4- Smurfing failing comedy show

Gold medal : Eshan writing a comment on how he lost his bm in one of Al Pacino's game with his Dark.Messiah aka then trying hard to pretend he wasnt al pacino. Brainman was the one to point it out.

Silver medal : PInballmap faking Nline aka on bnet and on ffareplays, but posting the game under Pinballmap account

Bronze medal : tbd

Good luck to everyone in S11 :icon_exclaim:

I think the reason murrock stated for smurphing in s10, was that he wanted a fresh start where he was playing for real and not trolling.

But after a while he simply could not resist his true calling ^^

Or that could simply be a theory someone told me? I forgot

Yes, I figured it out pretty quickly. Nline, the real one, showed me a picture with him on a pony so I can always bring that up to see if it's really him.

I could never smurf, my gosuness would shine through whatever I do (and perhaps my DR only play would make it a little obvious as well...)

I still think you're SS smurf.

Proof:

1. There are no SS vs Darkness games, anywhere, ever.
2. You appeared right when SS quit.
3. You have same love/hate relationship with the community.
4. You use exact same heroes/army.
5. About same APM.
6. You varied a few things in the build order and you started using bats when you realized that previous playstyle was inferior, but you didn't want to just abandon SS's hard ideals directly.
7. You use about same amount of manip.
8. You both liked RT for some weird reason.
9. You both played same race same hero combo same army with very little variation for ages and ages = shows same type of mentality.
10. Ultimate proof - cannot be denied: if you deny that you're SS, you basically state that you just copied his cheap op strat and have about zero identity of your own.... so do you really want to deny it?
11. P.S. you just said you cannot be a smurf just to avert attention from this very important issue.

Sorry to disappoint but I'm not SS  :icon_mrgreen:

I've been DarknessCalls (or some variation) for all of my War3 life, starting with RoC. I was a noob at first and did 3s RT only and eventually watched some replays, got good, and switched to solo. I played solo heavily towards the end of RoC + start of TFT and was usually top 20 on Azeroth, I also was a top 2s AT player sporadically throughout the first few years of TFT.

Stopped playing and went to WoW, then came back. Didn't find solo as enjoyable anymore, and that's when I grew interest in FFA slowly through clan lone forums and ffareplays.com. Although SS's guide was an inspirition for me, if you ask those who remember me from WAY back before I understood the FFA game, I played undead at first as my main race. I then changed to orc and did the DR style I use today, although I found the land-only armies that SS use as boring, so I switched it up. I remember people laughing at me for using DR and bats, as people only saw DR with HH/land army/etc, but here we are today...

I guess the only way I could prove it is to have you talk to some old school players I used to play with or compete against, but they're all gone now. If you really think I'm SS then I'll take the honors of being him  :icon_mrgreen:

Correct, I copied an incredibly strong cheap tactic and modified it for my own use. I don't feel any shame or guilt... seeing how nearly everyone who plays this game copies one thing or another from someone at some point.

And yeah, my smurf comment was just a funny comment... you're looking too much into it.

Just trolling. I really don't care (nor does anyone alive today, I think... SS is from too long ago to care anymore).

good stuff xD.
if mystikalsmurf was trying to fake wreck, he was not doing a bad job :P. but not too surprised about him doing that smurfing and even trying it in s11 :D.

btw, anyone knows the name of the super-villian in the smurfs? not gargamel but the one with the red eyes who is not appearing often and even gargamel is afraid of ! ( p.s. was not a fan of the series back then, but i still watch it and ofc know it ;-) )
