Re: Tod talking about Magadansky here? i assume he's referring to LexBG or MJLubber who are considered to be very high level uds currently but they were never close to Insomnia.

could be a number of other players though - 420, Shocker, 3wD.Star. I think even kunev and ZeeRaX used to play undead in 2v2s with insomnia.

it's not maga since maga played elf/ud as 3wd.simo, not hu/ud.

PS : reinforcement is not bulgarian.
PS2 : i'm friends with ToD from a few sc2 tournaments we attended together so i'll ask him when i get the time to.

S25 Grand Finals Here we are! After a grueling season filled with drama, passion, heartbreak, and perseverance; we've reached the final stage: The grand finals. On FFA's largest, and most prestigious stage, we have four warriors ready to fight for the honor of making their mark on FML, by putting their name in the hallowed FML hall of fame. I'm sure by now we are all familiar with these four players--whether you love them, revere them, or hate them; they are all deserving of their spot here in this grand final.

For my own personal pleasure I have acted as the designated Sorting Hat and divided these players up between the 4 Hogwarts Houses. So let's meet the players:

 :USA: :ne: Wrecktify
Hogwarts House: Gryffindor - Courageous, bold, and a bit reckless.
Finishing in 1st place this season and earning a direct seed into these finals we have our well established Night Elf player Wrecktify. A well known face (and voice) in this community, Wrecktify keeps putting up solid results after all this time. We can definitely dub him the veteran of this group, having already won three FML titles in the past; the first dating all the way back to season 6. Despite playing a consistently predictable style, Wrecktify is still an opponent many fear, due to his overall solid micro, macro, and game sense. Throw in just enough mental instability to suicide you at any given moment, and it is no wonder many tread carefully when involved in the same game as Wrecktify. No stranger to the finals, Wrecktify will be hoping his experience will be enough to put his name in the history books as the only 4x FML champ in the long history of the league.

 :Switzerland: :hu: Noexxx
Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw - Wise, creative, and original.
Finishing 2nd in the standings this season we have our Human player Noexxx. The current reigning FML champion, Noexxx will be looking to repeat his Season 24 success, and become the first player in over a decade to win back to back FML titles. No one has achieved such a feat since the early days, back when Target won seasons 2 and 3. Despite having a no show in week 2, Noexxx found a way directly to the finals by winning all 3 of the matches he showed up for. Widely considered the strongest  :hu: player of the season, there are still many questions Noexxx must answer if he hopes to repeat as FML champion. Will his beloved Panda burn through the opposition? Will he use mechanical critters to create a new meta creeproute? And just how many towers exactly will he build? Only time holds the key to unlocking these answers; for now, we the fans wait with bated breath.

 :Sweden: :ra: FML|Junkerzam
Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff - Trustworthy, kind, and just.
Our final direct seed into the finals is the lone torch bearer for the admin team. Well, supposedly he is on the admin team, but looking around it is hard to see any work done by him  :icon_lol:. As the creator of the first ever randomized match making system used this season, many find themselves asking the question, was the system rigged? We may never know. However, after watching Junkerzam's matches, the doubt will be dispelled from our minds by his smart and crisp play. Decisive decision making and subtle manipulation, paired with his well above average micro and macro make Junkerzam a very dangerous player indeed. Good with all four races, preparing to play against Junkerzam will be challenging for our other competitors. Will Junkerzam be able to leverage this racial diversity into an advantage? Or will the burden of preparing for a match of this magnitude with four different races be too much for him to carry? One thing we know for certain; Junkerzam would be a much deserving new entry into the FML hall of fame should things fall in his favor.

 :Denmark: :ud: Tleilaxu
Hogwarts House: Slytherin - Cunning, resourceful, and proud.
Our final competitor has crawled through the bloody gauntlet of the semi finals, and is looking to prove to his critics that he is indeed deserving of a first ever FML title. Often underestimated, Tleilaxu is widely considered to have more bark than bite. However, this season he has proven he can not only hang with the best--he can defeat them. A necrowagon specialist, Tleilaxu is not only dangerous in the early game, but also in the late game, where he has shown countless times the ability to cleverly slither his way through tight situations in order to come out on top. This self proclaimed Anti-hero's journey has not been an easy one, battling through many FML seasons the resilience and growth Tleilaxu has shown can not be understated. Will it all culminate in a highly coveted FML crown? This dark horse certainly hopes so.

Re: S25 Final Result NYC FML CHAMPIONS! USA!

Wreck brought the crown back to America and to Gotham city in a dominant display

Thank you admins for a fun silver anniversary season!

Three takeaways from the game:

1. Worst game I've seen Noexxx play, maybe ever. Constantly battling necrowagon skellies instead of sniping wagons/mancers, or going for base. Maybe it was Finals nerves getting to him. Losing shredder, losing heroes. I guess it happens to everyone once in a while. I was rooting for him to repeat going into the game, but i guess he met his match in Laxu of all people.

2. Laxu played well. I was actually impressed. Gotta give him credit for playing a strong game, taking advantage of his map spawn to beat Noexxx 1v1, until blindly losing his army to wreck. He didn't do any of his toxic manip, he fought well, very little caps lock or crying. I think he should have taken noexxx's mine a lot earlier- and of course if he didn't lose his army it would have been different.

3. Wrecktify played like a complete beast. Just dominated the game - making great decisions and winning all fights, even hoarding most gold with 3 wisps in mine. His hero combo is devastating against UD, and Junker played right into it. Quote of the game "What happened to Junker?" "Wrecktify happened. Junker is a tier-2 player he cant handle it." Damn. Shots fired. Its very interesting that Wreck can sometimes play extremely poorly - or get pwned in other seasons and for a while you think hes not that good anymore. Then he completely dominates a whole season and wins the finals in a landslide. Congrats to the King

And lastly after watching this game - Wreck may have won but this is NOT a good map. No red camps, no gold mines to contend for outside of naturals, poor pathing, four goblin merchants so you don't even have to rush for a shredder, two useless marketplaces with consumable items, one useless fountain with no creeps defending it. But worst of all - the 1v1's are unbalanced because one player's expos are BOTH exposed to the other player, while his enemy has expos on the opposite side. In this game we saw how costly that can be - as both Junker and Noexxx got destroyed in their matchup, mainly due to expo position. Both laxu and Wreck were able to destroy these expos repeatedly, while never being in danger of losing their own. Thats an auto win in 1v1 situations. This on top of the poor creeps, small map, low gold count, and poor pathing - I personally don't think this is a very good map at all.

[mmt Guide] How to check your real-world ping to game bot Hello gentlemen,

as we all know the game lobby does not display your real ping to your bot.
Due to this fact I have decided to come up with a guide on how to check your real world ping to the game bot of your choice.
You can easily determine the best bot (ping wise) to play on for you.
This guide will take some steps. However once set up correctly you will have a handy tool which can tell your ping at all times (running in the background if you want).

Requirements?
Windows Operating System
Acceptance to use commandline shell (cmd.exe) for ping tests
Follow my steps exactly as I state

Summary of what we do:
- Download psping (Sysinternals tool, Official Image Signed Microsoft Product)
- Add psping as a system environment variable so you can fire it up directly from commandline shell
- Perform a ping check for a game bot

Steps:
1.) Download the magnificient psping.exe tool from Sysinternals
www.live.sysinternals.com
Navigate to psping.exe and download it to a location of your choice. You need to remember the exact location of it (!).
Recommended:
Use C:\temp (if you dont have that directory, proceed to create a folder)
For the following steps I will use C:\temp as the path where psping.exe is located.

2.) Add psping.exe as a system environment variable
Windows -> Type 'systempropertiesadvanced.exe' in input box

Now press "Environment Variables"

In Systemvariables navigate to PATH
Press "Edit"
Add in Value of variables the following entry ";C:\temp"
Do not forget the semiciolon and make sure that this is the correct path!

It should look like this

Again.. make sure the semicolon is correctly set and the path is the right one
(I used C:\temp in this guide)

3.) Perform a ping to a game bot
If you have set up everything correctly. This will be your starting point to do game ping checks!
We use only cmd.exe (powershell.exe also works) to use psping.
Open cmd by Windows -> cmd.exe

Now check your ping to a game bot. I will use ams.toom.io:6112 in this example.

psping -t ams.toom.io:6112

(CTRL + C and right click in cmd to paste it  :icon_cool:)

Feel free to use any other game bot / internet site / etc.

Well how do I stop the program from pining?
Use CRTL + C or simply close the window. You may keep the window opened while mass tanking your opponents down in game. It does not have any online game experience impact.

Good job young padawan! You have taken your first step into a larger world of CLI.

Cheers,
mmt
