Making the Cut #3
PLAYOFF EDITION

We are back again for another episode for the critically unacclaimed series of Making the Cut! We are one round away from the play-offs but the matches are actually very straight forward for this round. You're either playing for a Final Birth or Play-off spot depending on your match. Simple as that!! I'll go match by match this week for details.

All of what is said below is in the event that there are NO SUBS in this round.

M55
:USA: :ne: Wrecktify
:Russia: :orc: Ludix
:Serbia: :ne: Svedirko
:USA: :ne: Mog[Skynet]

With the exception of Svedirko (and Mog in an unlikely scenario described below), everyone in this match has already clinched a play-off birth. Furthermore, with the exception for Svedirko, the winner of this game will also clinch a Finals spot. Thus, this game will be a battle for the win. Svedirko on the other hand, is in a strange position. If he gets last place, he will be stuck in a tie-breaker for a play-off spot. If he wins, he will be stuck in a tie-breaker for a finals spot.

M56
:Bulgaria: :ud: Magadansky
:France: :hu: Meeds
:Finland: :ne: j33
:Canada: :ne: Renaud

With the exception of Renaud (and j33 in an unlikely scenario described below), everyone in this match has already clinched a play-off birth. Winner gets into the play-offs. KPECT is sort of in a deal-breaker position however. If he gets 2nd/3rd then he can be stuck in a tiebreaker for a play-off spot IF Renaud or Svedirko get last place.

UNLIKELY SCENARIO: If KPECT manages to pull off a 2nd place finish WITH the extra point AND either J33 or Mog get last place... then we will have a tiebreaker for a play-off birth.

M58
:USA: :ra: Persuade
:Russia: :orc: y.zenchenko
:USA: :ud: PLZLEAVEDUCK
:Germany: :hu: YaWs

Winner gets into the play-offs. Nothing else to say here.

M59
:USA: :ra: SteppinRazor
:USA: :ra: Seksi
:Slovakia: :hu: Ado125
:World: :ra2: Sub for Lightweight

Winner here has to get lucky and he might get into the play-offs. If Renaud/Svedirko get last place then the winner here will be in a tiebreaker for the playoffs spot. Ado125 is an exception as it is not possible for him to make the play-offs.
