All the above ideas sound good Renaud! Seem's like it would be definitely worth trying out for at least a round next season  :icon_biggrin:

I heard about Australian Football

I was told it was like American Football, except for real men.

Yep, you heard right! Just like in Rugby, we don't pussyfoot around with girly things like "padding" and "helmets", and to us "safety" is only found in a cold beer (que shitty beer ad!). In all honesty though, Rugby and AFL are pretty intense and physical sports. You can use your shoulder to take out other players who are attempting to tackle one of your teammates, and unless you get him in the head, pretty much anything goes!

Bah, NFL fantasy is for wossies! AFL (Australian Football) Dreamteam on the other hand is great fun... having said that, I lost my semi final match on the weekend in a game I should've won, so I'm a bit bitter about that at the moment... but it's definitely as addictive as crack  :icon_twisted:

ffareplays had all the custom map we used too, mb the new website should have them
(or we could host them here?)

Slacks FFA maps section doesn't seem to be affected for the moment, I downloaded a few maps off there the other day without any problems.

Liking Renaud's and Practicemage's suggestions, although hopefully the original site can be fixed and save you guys a whole lot of work!

Strategy / Re: How NOT to play FFA!
« on: July 09, 2012, 06:48:29 am »
Loved it when he kept saying "Oh I should probably get a 3rd hero, but I'll do that when my second hero is lvl 3-4". The 4th game he played was probably the hardest to watch, as he committed the worst FFA sins known to man. 100 supply creeping for 10-15mins. Leaving his main hero with his second while creeping. And then at the end he tries to defend his main while mass tanks and a few breakers/casters vs a primarily bear/dryad army, instead of just going for his remaining buildings (he'd already take out the NE's main). After losing his heroes, he kept going "Oh well nothing I could do his heroes are to strong..." while leaving his 7 tanks in his main so the NE could kill them... he had 3 expos left too.... ouch.

SOmeone suggested intelligence hero only.

With your idea of 4 starting workers, we could have some fun hero combos like lich-potm-sh or something

Silly Ugri!!

Potm AND SH are agil!!

Even though Ugri has already replied to this, I reckon he intended those to be read as two different comments, in other words, he was suggesting the idea of Intel heroes only, and then as an aside mentioning you could do various crazy hero combos with the four different starting workers. Anyway, I'm sure it doesn't hurt to make fun of Ugri a bit :) You might not be laughing if he dominates with that combo though ;)
