Ok ill actually predict this one. Reflekkt seems to be having a tough time adjusting to FFA, so I will actually predict fourth for him here. Razor seems to be better on bnet than in FML; however, L77 seems to be on some drunken post-championship bender of downward spiraldom. Cmon dewd you da champ! You got this! But im predicting you to come in third. Steppin second. Blex has home map advantage (hippos ftw against those imba dragons in the middle, chippo-over-trees, etc.) Yes I predicted finish order. Brian seems to be a generic orc abuser, and while I want to pick SS, this map really blows for using mass tp. The GhostBurne guy needs to not sit at 100 all game. Hydro needs to show up for this game. Id say SS could win but Bryan probably will. Then SS will write an essay on how bad FFA is.

Daseland seems be to be on a "Im playing my bad race and not using manip" downward spiral and its gonna cost him here. Sorry brah, but youre an orc abuser and FFA is the only format where even having in-game chat is worthwhile, if not crucial. Even that putz Maga manips (albeit poorly) when hes getting reamed. If youre just gonna take it in the ass youre gonna end up like 0-0-0-0-5. Yes, youre getting 5 fifth place finishes in a 4 week season. Jerk. Man up and eat some donuts.

This could be a great underdog win showing skills that have been dormant of late! Confidence is key my friend. Nooblex is not an elite micro player and L77 is tricky... use this to your advantage and apply pressure whichever way you go. Don't let it be a macro type game for it would be to your disadvantage (especially being Undead)

It's too bad this isn't on a smaller map since I think SS rushing Bryan would be really interesting. I haven't seen many games yet where Bryan's heroes don't get completely out of control, but I trust SS will know how to keep them in check, assuming he doesn't get frustrated and quit. Either way, if Bryan tries creepjacking him then this game should be pretty quick and very entertaining.

It's an interesting map and I think Darker adapts nicely. I had a tough time picking between him and lw, but I think LW is more likely to get teamed early on so I'm going with Darker.

Depends on what you mean by troll. The 3rd person, as well as his name, both come from a series of books. He's remained remarkably in character the entire time I've known him, and seeing as how they're one of my favorite series as well I've been highly impressed. So I suppose in a sense he is trolling, but not with annoying or malicious intent, instead just amusing himself and others. Nah, its amazing. I'll give you there are a shit-ton of plot holes, the 6th book and epilogue should never have been created, and the characterization is wishy-washy. I can name you a lot of books that require more thinking, have better plots, and are from better writers. All that being said, how many books have entranced such a wide generation of readers as Harry Potter? Adults, teens, and kids alike love them. It's a once in a life-time type of book, and its that intangible that makes it so good. Maybe it lost something in the French translation, I don't know.
But the world that JKR created is phenomenal, and even when reading stuff that I completely disagreed with and hated (like HBP) I couldn't put it down.

Nah, its amazing. I'll give you there are a shit-ton of plot holes, the 6th book and epilogue should never have been created, and the characterization is wishy-washy. I can name you a lot of books that require more thinking, have better plots, and are from better writers. All that being said, how many books have entranced such a wide generation of readers as Harry Potter? Adults, teens, and kids alike love them. It's a once in a life-time type of book, and its that intangible that makes it so good. Maybe it lost something in the French translation, I don't know.
But the world that JKR created is phenomenal, and even when reading stuff that I completely disagreed with and hated (like HBP) I couldn't put it down.
Exactly. Except I didn't see the problem with HBP. Epilogue was unnecessary though, that I agree with.

Hermione is made out to be an idiot, and it completely breaks her character previously established in other books. Before they would investigate things, trust Harry etc. In this book they point blank refuse to believe him. She says I told you so about the potions book right after Harry witnesses Dumbledore's death, something clearly not important. Lots of other examples, but I'm supposed to be doing a paper right now so I'll have to wait til later for a longer explanation.
Also though, the Harry/Ginny romance. Completely out of the blue, no time spent characterizing Ginny before this book, and I'm still surprised that there wasn't a love potion involved based off of the description of their romance haha.

Actually the only thing that would tick me off about HP was Ron and Harry acting likes girls whenever they had a fight (although I guess it makes sense since it was written by a woman) other than that I liked it.
Have you ever had a fight with a friend? Was your first reflex to say "I'm not talking to you anymore!" Then ignore him for a month? Did anyone of your friends every tell that to you?
And not over you sleeping with his gf, but over you not helping him in a math test.

Can't deny it, parts just don't make sense or are bad writing. If you found out you had to kill the most badass wizard of the past 50 years would you spend the entire year playing Quidditch or would you start training so you could live?
There are lots of these types of questions, but it still doesn't change my point haha

ASOIAF is my favorite book of all times, yes. ADWD didn't impress me, but I'm not dropping it like many others just because it wasn't what I expeced. Basically I'm all for authorial freedom from fan hate, and always willing to give a chance to the author to finish the whole thing before being subject to criticism. Half the picture =/= whole picture.
As for Malazan, I tried, but it's a little too WoWish with all the lore. I can take this stuff in videogames, but I'm looking for deeper, less DnD campaign feel in adult books. Honestly, ASOIAF killed my enjoyment of ALOT of modern fantasy. Everything pales in comparison, and I just can't enjoy it. As a result, I'm mostly into non-fiction right now, history, era stuff, specifics like fashion, architecture, war, etc.
